if you want to select best wallet to hold your USDT. There are two types of wallets available, custodial and non-custodial wallet.

Custodial wallet: It is not recommended to use a custodial wallet if you wish to hold your USDT because your funds and wallet private key will not be under your control, which means having a high level of trust is necessary when using a custodial wallet, It is recommended that you use a custodial wallet if you want to make frequent transactions, but don't put all of your money in it because anything can happen at any time.
You can store your USDT on a number of trustworthy exchanges, such as KuCoin, Binance, and many more; you can do further research to learn more.

The non-custodial wallet is the reverse of the custodial wallet.
Having control over your funds and private key without requiring a third party to hold it is what is meant by using a non-custodial wallet. So I will suggest that you hold your USDT in a non-custodial wallet, and hardware wallets are the safest kind of non-custodial wallets. It's just like USB and it can only be connected to your computer and smartphone via the internet.

Bro, asking questions is beneficial, but choosing where to keep funds should be 100% your responsibility. Ideally, a non-custodial wallet is always advised. However, in a situation where you don't have a hardware-based non-custodial wallet, a software application would be a better alternative. Keep in mind that transaction charges come with these types of wallets.

Please avoid using any application that doesn't provide you with a seed phrase.

Depends on who you are in life) trader or holder, and if you are a trader the most convenient way is metamask, in it you can deploy about 10 different blockchains, but if you are a holder, I would advise you to spendthrift from the blockchain tron, this blockchain is not in metamask but usdt from tron on third-party exchanges with fiat currency is quoted much more expensive than similar from other blockchains.

Note which blockchain your usdt coin is on ( example bsc chain, ethereum chain, tron chain). I think Metamask, trust wallet, safepal and ledger nano x are best wallets.

I have some USDT, so I keep it on Binance to receive profits from Simple Earn program. Many of my friends did the same to get ready to DCA crypto.

If you have a lot of USDT and are worried about CEX safety, you can store it yourself in a personal account on Ethereum, BNB or Tron. There are many hot wallet and hardware wallet applications for you to choose and use, as long as you store the private key carefully.

The moment when it is necessary to understand what is meant ( a little ) for someone it is a little 10$ and for someone it is 1000-10000$, and to bother with wallets if you have a little may not even be worth it and just keep them on the exchange, plus perhaps trade on them.

It depends on the blockchain on which you want to hold your USDT.

If it's ETH ERC-20, Trezor is an excellent open source hardware wallet.

Ledger natively offers Polygon, Tron, BEP-20 Binance Chain, so is more polyvalent. However, Ledger is closed-source, and the company is accumulating the problems recently, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Otherwise, as a software wallet, why not Exodus on an airgapped device?

Yeah, I don't have much money so I usually deposit 100 USDT per time to Binance to DCA BTC 10 USDT/week during crypto winter. Honestly, I trust Binance's security more than my old Windows 10 laptop. I also use an old iPhone 6 to access, buy and sell crypto through Binance app. I hardly use my personal account to store stable coins.

However, for investors with larger assets, for example over $10K, hardware wallets are always recommended for maximum safety.

Although I work only through the Internet and get paid only in usdt, but somehow it did not work out to be an investor, I keep some amount of cryptocurrency but it is not important and buy a hardware wallet because of this I did not, I am quite satisfied with extensions on the PC and duplication as you have on your phone.

Choosing a wallet for holding USDT depends on your preferences, security considerations, and how you plan to use the stablecoin. Here are a few options:

1. Hardware Wallets: Considered one of the most secure options, hardware wallets like Ledger or Trezor provide offline storage, reducing the risk of online hacking.

2. Software Wallets: Wallets like Exodus, Atomic Wallet, or Trust Wallet (mobile) are software-based and offer a balance between security and convenience. Make sure to download wallets from official sources.

3. Exchange Wallets: If you're actively trading, leaving USDT on a reputable cryptocurrency exchange like Binance, Coinbase, or Kraken is an option. However, exchange wallets come with some security trade-offs.

4. Web Wallets: Some wallets, like MyEtherWallet (for ERC-20 USDT) or the Tether website's own wallet, allow you to store USDT through a web interface.

Remember to consider factors such as security features, ease of use, and the type of wallet that aligns with your preferences and intentions for holding USDT. Always use reputable sources and enable two-factor authentication for added security.

I know traders who have millions of USDT in their Binance account and he has never used a hardware wallet, simply because he considers it unnecessary when all his capital needs to be used continuously for future trading.

A secure internet, a reliable device, and a user experienced in protecting personal information are enough to keep assets in hot wallets, even in xchange accounts with 2FA. I also receive my wages in USDT and store USDT on Binance Global, it's really convenient to buy crypto or sell to fiat  8)

I would recommend using open source AQUA wallet, that is currently released for mobile devices but desktop version will come soon.
Important difference compared to other wallets is that you can store Bitcoin on-chain and Liquid Network assets like L-USDT and L-BTC, and make easy swaps with low fees.
You can even accept USDT from tron and ethereum chains with small additioanl fees.

Why prefer to mention close source wallets? Trustwallet and Safepal are both close source wallets. Ledger Nano is not a good wallet, the hardware wallet company does not care about their customers privacy at all. Safepal is one of the hardware wallets that I can not recommend.

For small amount, Metamask is good. I use Unstoppable wallet for small amount and it is completely an open source wallet. For a hardware wallet, Trezor is better. Trezor is also open source, unlike Ledger Nano wallets.

Nothing should be done in private when it comes to software setup (especially with wallets), no one want to be potentially scammed.

I think it depends on the amount of USDT you've and how long you want to hodl. On that note, I'd suggest Trezor hardware wallet if it's a large amount of USDT and if you want to hodl for a longer period of time. If not an open source wallet like unstoppable wallet is very okay and can get the job done for you. At the moment, unstoppable wallet has about 9 supported networks such as eth, bsc, trx, polygon, solana, fantom, arbitrum etc.

Wow i have seen and read your respective ideas and i am now clear of the wallet choice I should go for. I used to think keeping usdt requires a special kind of wallet from holding your coins but i now understand that it all depends on the network of your usdt and i have made a choice already, i think i will be going for the unstoppable wallet because it is open source and open source wallets are best wallet choices and for mobile i think my research proves that unstoppable wallet is the best.

Tether as a company behind  the stable coin known as USDT, does not have any wallet of their wallet where it is recommended for usdt holders to hold their coins, and this is possibly because, usdt is built and running on several places, different networks and blockchains, so choosing a wallet to hold your usdt depends on the blockchain network you wanna hold them.

For example, there is
USDT on ethereum
USDT on BNB smart chain
USDT on Solana
And so on and so on,

So, choosing a wallet to hold your usdt depends on the network or blockchain, but I will recommend you hold your usdt in a non custodial wallet where you can easily access any and where blockchain, and such wallet is Chainge - the app is available on both android playstore and iPhone app store for download.
