Do they really? I often encounter this statement. And i have no idea as to why. This past few days, bitcoin is on the rise and most certainly than not altcoin's price surely follows. I am not saying this is bad but altcoins have very little in common with bitcoin. And they are certainly not carbon copies of bitcoin either. Why the heck is their price so closely connected despite being so fundamentally different?

Cryptocurrency discussions / ICO price and Listing price
« on: September 22, 2018, 01:59:21 PM »
I think every project done with their ico and listing on exchanges need to remember the holders the last stage price of their ice.
I observed that most investors complain about airdrop and bounty hunters, that they're the ones who dump the price always.
I think when the project team are about to announce the listing of their project on a particular exchange, if on twitter and Telegram they should attach a sentence like "Remember our ico price is $0.5"
I noticed that most airdrop and bounty hunters don't bother to know what the ico price was all they need is making something out of it.
What do you think guys?

Cryptocurrency discussions / The three fronts war of ethereum
« on: September 22, 2018, 01:50:31 PM »
Ethereum faces a war on three fronts:

1. The debacle of the ICOs and their treasuries in "panic sell off" mode.

2. The very low adoption of the Dapp. Flagship projects such as Augur rarely have more than 50 users per day and all Dapps together rarely exceed 10k daily users.

3. Scalability. It is increasingly difficult to maintain an ethereum node and implementations to scale (PoS, Sharding, etc) are still vaporware.

Title was just to bring the attention of Those who are thinking of investing money in bitcoin or any other crypto currency.

A few things you must keep in your mind before investing in Bitcoin or any other crypto currency:

1.Make sure you have read the whitepaper of bitcoin or the currency you are thinking to put money in.
2.Crypto currencies are not just for making money.
3.There are no guarantees of profit.
4.You can loose all your money so invest only what you can afford to loose.
5. Don't panic when market fluctuates because its not only you who is controlling the market.
6.Do not buy and sell in FOMO(Fear of missing out) & FUD(Fear, Uncertainty and doubt).
7.Take opinions but Do your own research before taking any decision.
8.Do not forget to check the bitcoin forum to know more about that project.
9.Last and the most important: Patience is the key.

Cryptocurrency discussions / New update from ETH ?
« on: September 22, 2018, 12:41:41 PM »
Ethereum's upcoming hard fork, Constantinople, will activate in a testing environment next month, core developers agreed on Friday.

As detailed by CoinDesk, Constantinople features changes designed to increase the platform's efficiency, alter its economic policy and delay the so-called "difficulty bomb," a piece of code meant to encourage the network to alter its core consensus algorithm.

Speaking in a bi-weekly video call, developers said the upgrade will activate around October 9 on a cross-client testnet, named Ropsten, which mimics the conditions of the ethereum network itself. However, due to the unpredictability of block confirmation times in the testing environment, an exact block number – the way most upgrades are timed within the blockchain space – for the testnet activation has yet to be finalized.

Similarly, the timing for activating Constantinople on ethereum's mainnet, or live blockchain, has yet to be fixed.

Speaking on the call, though, Ethereum Foundation communications officer Hudson Jameson tentatively suggested November or December for the upcoming code change.

Vitalik Buterin, ethereum's creator, was also on the call, and noted that changes resulting from the approach of the difficulty bomb code should not be perceptible for several months, meaning there is little urgency to get the Constantinople upgrade out.

"It's totally not urgent," Buterin said, adding: "We could probably have three months of safety and likely even more."

While the ethereum improvement proposals (EIPs) that are a part of the Constantinople upgrade have caused some debate – especially from miners who see their revenue decreasing with a pullback on the issuance of ether – overall the upgrade features minor technical changes.

Developers also discussed EIPs that may be included in a subsequent hard fork named Istanbul – currently planned for eight months after Constantinople executes.

For example, the ongoing dispute around whether ethereum should implement changes to its underlying proof-of-work algorithm to force ASICs — a type of mining hardware that many think causes centralization — off the network, was discussed. While no clear direction was confirmed, ethereum researcher Danny Ryan noted that work on Casper, the proposal for moving ethereum to a new consensus algorithm, is moving forward.

During the call, Ryan said:

"The bones of the spec is really solidifying."

Cryptocurrency discussions / what is your motivation to invest in an ICO
« on: September 22, 2018, 12:34:25 PM »
Hi all,

For my master thesis, I’m currently doing a study about Initial Coin Offerings. The main purpose of this study is to learn more about the key motivations of investors to invest in an ICO. In order to finalize my study, I made a survey. You’ll find the link to this below. It would be extremely helpful to me if you could make some time to fill in and complete my survey. It will take you approximately 4 – 6 minutes.

Thanks in advance!

Cryptocurrency discussions / Ethereum has begun to show positive trends
« on: September 22, 2018, 10:49:04 AM »
The price of Etherum has now shown a very good price stability and therefore it can be seen from Etherum's price movements that have started to increase. Now many people are starting to re-use crypto and this also has an impact on price movements experienced by most other altcoins. I am optimistic when Etherum prices can increase then automatically the other coin prices will start to move very positively.

If this can be maintained it is not impossible that Etherum prices can reach fantastic value and can even exceed 500USD by the end of 2018.

Hi, there Wink

Token prices are closely related to the amount of released on the market.

From this point of view,

There are many ways to reduce distribution.

1. Token lock
2. Token burn
3. Issue the token limit

What other things are there besides the above?

Tell me about things that affect the price of a token regardless of their point of view without good/bad news, partnership, ROI, Profit.

Thank you.
