The governments cannot stop Bitcoin because Bitcoin is not centralized. No central authoritative body is in total control over Bitcoin and its related activities. This is what makes the usage of Bitcoin a unique one - it takes that power from the governments and give it back to the people.

The reason to hold a coin is basically ascertained after performing an extensive study on the project and coming up with the potentials and capabilities of the project. Some coins are worth holding after finding out its potentials whereas others are worth trading with on the short term basis.

There are very limited number of businesses utilizing cryptocurrency services globally. However, it is apparent that the number of businesses harnessing crypto have increased in number now. With time, more business will join as big companies like Facebook has announced its intention to create its own coin.

Yes, there are many scam projects that make tokens that have no value. they could manipulate the market to register their tokens on the coinmarket cap. This is very detrimental to investors who do not know the project.

A scam project getting its coin listed on coinmarketcap? This is quite weird and new to me. Normally, scam projects do not even reach that stage because most of them do not have working product and end after the token sales where the project makes their money.
