Gambling discussion / Re: Are you trying to quit gambling?
« on: September 09, 2024, 07:06:57 AM »
It's more on our mentality to be honest, if we know how to fight thru it, then we can all quit. Just like in smoking, if you just decided one day to stop then you can do it, I have seen it has been done by people around me.

Of course, everything is on all on our mind. With good mental health, a person would not easily be addicted to gambling as he knows his limit and he is aware of the possible side-effects of being lured into such a bad habit. The problem is that most people who have problems with their mindset are usually the people who can easily get addicted, in the first place, and that is the reason why addicted people will find it hard to say goodbye to the problem once and for all. When we allow our weakness to be consuming us and take the lead on our actions and decisions, our life would be in shamble and so we can never easily win over addiction. This is true when one is dealing with gambling, smoking, drugs and even overeating.

Cryptocurrency Price Speculations / Re: Q3 2024 market trend
« on: September 09, 2024, 06:53:16 AM »
It seems that BTC is very dependent on rate cuts indeed. There's plenty of good news for BTC, there's interest, ETFs, bullish signs, but there's something holding the price back and that could be it. However, without too much analysis, the month of October and the rest of the year look promising for BTC if history repeats itself...

I am really wondering why the price movement and direction is now dependent on how the FED will be doing with the interest rate...is it because this is the barometer of the US economy, that is if there will be no cuts it can mean there will some form of a recession and if there is one then retail and institutional investors will be flocking away from BTC? Hope there can come a time when BTC will decouple from the things happening in USA but seems to me this is just a wish list as the USA remains to be the biggest market where Bitcoin is openly recognized asset especially with the approved ETFs they have. In other words, Bitcoin is going where the USA economy is headed...for now!

After the Bitcoin faucet became popular and made many people really "rich" that is if they continually keep the coins they gathered from such a very generous offer, bounty hunting came on the scene and it was likewise a proven way to make good money in the cryptocurrency industry. Those were the early days and if you happen to be on that time then I am sure you also experienced phishing which became a very popular way to hack into your wallet.

So what is phishing? Phishing is the practice of sending fraudulent communications that appear to come from a legitimate and reputable source, usually through email and text messaging. The attacker's goal is to steal money, gain access to sensitive data and login information, or to install malware on the victim's device. Phishing is a dangerous, damaging, and an increasingly common type of cyberattack.

Sadly, I was one of the victims of phishing in those time when I was still so innocent, naive and didn't know much on how to safeguard my account and wallet. How they did it? They sent me a message in Stack that there was something wrong with my MEW wallet and I need to login immediately...unfortunately I clicked the fake link which they provided where I input my details.

Right now, most people in the cryptocurrency industry are already aware of phishing and there are now many safeguard tools that can help us avoid this problem. The most important thing is to be always vigilant and to triple check the site URL you are logging in to make sure it is the legit one.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Invest less in Cryptocurrency or not??
« on: September 09, 2024, 06:13:20 AM »
When we start a new startup, we don't know much about it, so we feel a bit reluctant to invest.  But if we want to invest how to do it??

Surely, when you don't know a lot on something you would be reluctant to invest on it so I am suggesting to get all the details necessary so you can decide for yourself whether this can be a good opportunity to make money or can be the one that can burn your hard-earned riches. You can never decide right if information can be scarce...but am wondering how come you don't know much on this start-up? because the people behind it are not forthcoming or transparent? Then I am suggesting to stop and run...am sure there can be more opportunities you can find where you can be more comfortable top invest with. The question on how to do it must be supplied by the opportunity you love to invest with so ask them all the necessary concerns.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: The Double Edged Sword of Cryptocurrency
« on: September 09, 2024, 06:00:32 AM »
In fact, some have been designed solely for pump and dump schemes, leaving unsuspecting investors with significant losses. The allure of crypto has changed lives for the better, but it's also ruined others due to lack of proper information and research.

We ae living in the real world where scams and frauds are all present and people can easily be lured for something they would regret later...sadly with the coming of the cryptocurrency industry we are seeing a sharp increase of this malaise with more and more people being victimized. Pump and dump schemes are designed to benefits the people behind them, first and foremost and can be leaving those who are not aware of what they got into holding just empty bags. With the appeal to greed, people are lead to be supporting projects that will just die on the road and their supporters will have coins and tokens that have no value at all. of course, this is one side of the industry because we also have many successes and you just have to examine them in CMC list closely. One must be careful and must be praying for luck to make it in this industry.

I am looking forward to see if SUI will eventually succeed on this premise of just using radio waves to make transaction from wallet to wallet. Certainly, thus us going to be a very big groundbreaking event in case SUI will make it...as we really need to develop an alternative to the use of the internet as there are still many places where internet is not available or if they are could not serve the needs of the people. We have to remember that our internet infrastructure are still centralized and the government can easily shut it down anytime it wishes to. Certainly, the time has come for what they call as  “internet-less transactions” and may this technology be available soon.

Basic Attention Token (BAT) / Re: Is the CEO of BAT less attractive ?
« on: September 07, 2024, 02:35:34 PM »
I use Brave because it has many advantages in speed and perfect ads blocking ability. Security and privacy are also mentioned but I cannot confirm anything. I do not withdraw BAT because I do not have much BAT, at the same time, I am not willing to do KYC just to get a few BAT tokens worth a few $.

I got soured on Brave when they decided to just delete all the BAT earned by those who are based in my country...after some years of using Brave browser and accumulating the token. And the reason was they could not find a wallet that can accommodate us here which is an unacceptable ground for me. As to the browser, I learned that it is not as fast as before and not anymore lite and lean to my needs so I shifted to other browsers including one from CCleaner which I am currently using. Definitely, I am not anymore a fan and user of Brave.

Polygon MATIC Forum / Re: MATIC to POL migration
« on: September 07, 2024, 02:21:28 PM »
This Matic's good vision is because it changed its name to POL, Dev seems to want to be closer to the pronunciation of Polygon so that the abbreviation of POL is Polygon. But unfortunately, for me it is more comfortable to say Matic than to say POL because as far as I remember it reminds me of a car whose gears are Auto Matic or Matic transmissions.

I think I love this change of name from MATIC to POL which is so near to its Polygon name just like we have BTC for Bitcoin...am sure newcomers would not anymore wonder why MATIC is the ticker for Polygon. Anyway, the most important thing is that Polygon is set for more big growth ahead and be the hub of innovations in the cryptocurrency market for all to experience. Honestly, I am not holding MATIC or POL yet but I am considering joining its community of supporters and holders.

People on YouTube just want to benefit themselves, by spreading their referral links then they will make a profit or they become brand ambassadors to advertise supported trading platforms.

While I believe that there also legitimate and really good traders making their content in YouTube, there are also many bad influencers on that platform whose intention is to make big money from anyone who believe and can follow the instruction to deposit money to this and that account. Newbies must be careful and must not believe on anyone even in YouTube as these people are not vetted and they can also be scammers out to victimize people out of their hard-earned money. Now, this can be true also in many social media platforms so we must always doubt on anyone trying to open up our wallets for money transfer. When I tried to open the webulltradingbot.com it is already dead and that certainly confirm this is just another big SCAM.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Avoiding Scams For Beginners
« on: September 07, 2024, 11:25:56 AM »
If you're a beginner, then always try as much as possible to see that you tidy up the way you go about cryptocurrency investment by learning form those that already have the experience, then its also a good idea to start small and then later grow the investment with time, we must also try to avoid alts to an extent if we really want to reduce the chances on getting involved with shitcoins.

Knowledge is always the key to anything much more so in the cryptocurrency market. We should not always believe everything we see and must not allow ourselves to be swayed by an appeal to greed...like those programs that claim to give us good income even if we are doing nothing. Usually scams can be persuasive because they know what they are doing and they know that human nature is weak when facing that prospect to gain and profit more. Now, in the cryptocurrency market, there are so many scams and it is because scammers understand their target market so well and they have the strategies to get us to their wings...we should always be careful and must take anything with some grain of salt. Losing money to scams can be a terrible feeling though it can also be a big learning experience.

Bitcoin Forum / Why Bitcoin is currently weak?
« on: September 07, 2024, 10:54:27 AM »
As of the moment, Bitcoin is standing at $54,334.40 which, of course, is not what many of us who are hodlers are expecting this month of September after a lousy August performance. Since September 1, the price has been on a steady decline from around $57K to now at $54K...with even more possibility of another slide down the hill even getting into the $50K level and lower.

So what makes Bitcoin so sluggish at this time of the year? According to Cointelegraph: "A weak US labor market, fear of a tech bubble, and regulatory actions are factors behind Bitcoin’s recent sell-off."

Seems to me that the weakness of the US economy is dragging Bitcoin down. Now, do you think Bitcoin can even go lower than $50K this month of September or would you rather think that there can be a big rebound days from now?

It all began in 2015 with my desperation and quest to make money from online, and then, the rise of MMM in Nigeria and other African countries, for those who perhaps, don't know what MMM is, read about it HERE

Wow, I remembered those years when MMM was really a raging bull with millions (maybe) of people who joined the program worldwide...fortunately I was then sure at that time that MMM was just another scam and I did not became a part of the scheme. I did however joined many revenue sharing programs which were also popular at that time and that pushed me to get Bitcoin which had then one of the most accepted ways to pay and get paid. I am sure that many members of this forum also got started with crypto all because they wanted to join a money-making scheme which, of course, turned out to be another scam. Maybe we were so naive back then and really greedy too. And I am not wondering why so many scams are still following the crypto industry until now and will also be true into the future...sad!

Incentivised Posting / Shill / Re: let’s make this project unstoppable
« on: September 07, 2024, 10:25:08 AM »

My online search on  Kamikaze Holdings lead me to the World War 2 stuffs like the Japanese pilots who were ready to commit suicide instead of be taken by the enemies...such "braveness" in their time commemorated them in many movies and stories. Now as to Kamikaze Holdings I really found nothing at all...so this post is just a rubbish one made up by someone who has nothing else to do but to share bad content in here. Maybe it is time for OP to commit a kamikaze...we would love to be a witness to it (just kidding!). Pedro Harley can be such a good name but I don't think we must reserve a space for him here.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What do you think about AVAX coin?
« on: September 07, 2024, 10:12:07 AM »
They are believing that the coin might get to $100+ when the bull market start again. What do you all think?

Well, we can only hope that $AVAX will be performing a big miracle maybe at the end of 2024 or the first quarter of 2025. Nobody can be sure of what can be so I opted to not anymore add more $AVAX to my portfolio. I admit I have some of it for now and yes I am planning to hold on to them until they can make it at least $50...it is currently standing at around $20. Is your friend having some kind of an insider information of the things the $AVAX team is on their sleeves...that maybe prompted him to hype up this asset to you?

You can directly accept cryptocurrency to your own wallet which a lot of small business owners are already doing. Now, depending on the country you are in, there are many platforms that you can use where they also adopted cryptocurrency to their ecosystem and you can avail of their service too. Now, am just curious, what lead you to this idea of accepting cryptocurrency...has there been some inquiries from your customer base for such an option or you just think that maybe it is time for your business to level up?
