Your view is clearly very correct, indeed in crypto there is always a possibility that it can happen and it's not strange. but for this one thing it would be realistic to respond.
looking at the market cap to date ethereum is still a third that of bitcoin and it's not easy to catch up. I don't know when it can be done but maybe for the next few years it will continue as it is today.
