Avalanche returns to speed racing: 100K tps

The blockchain market is vibrant with dozens of blockchains with different visions, architectures, technologies, protocols, and solutions. We often compare blockchains with each other and speed (number of tps) is the most commonly used parameter.

Before 2023, Solana is considered the fastest blockchain with a capacity of 65K tps, while Avalanche only has a maximum speed of 20K tps^[1]. At the end of 2023, TON blockchain became the fastest blockchain on the market when it announced scalability to 104715 tps^[2]. Finally, we have a blockchain that has conquered the 100K tps goal that has always been expected since 2017. I do not mention Credits blockchain with 488403 tps[3] because this blockchain is almost unknown in the market and all their tests are far from real conditions.

The good news is that the Avalanche doesn't seem to be left behind in this speed race. Ava Labs has unveiled its innovative scaling solution, Vryx, aiming to push the Avalanche blockchain's transaction throughput to a staggering 100K tps. This breakthrough technology, set to be activated on HyperSDK testnets in Q2, promises to redefine scalability in the blockchain arena. Vryx's pipelined approach, breaking down transaction processing into parallel stages, enables concurrent verification of blocks while the next block is being prepared.

The project team did not make any valuable contributions to the development of the ecosystem and the project was considered dead even though they were able to achieve very high tps in the lab.

Ton is no better, their blockchain was attacked and surrendered to Inscription, Ton has 100k tps on the data  Avalanche will probably be different, more durable and stable than Solana, and will now be as fast as Ton in Q2 this year. I can see the energy within the growth of the AVAX token price chart

Many blockchains have very nice tps parameters but often cannot maintain that speed in practice under complex conditions with many types of user interactions. Solana has also had many problems, while Avalanche has been stable for many years, even during the Inscription wave late last year. I hope this new power will help reduce transaction fees, help Avalanche serve more C-chains and deliver great user experiences in the upcoming cycle.

Already going in a FOMO, I don't have much avax in my holding but just for clarification, I bought them at the rate of $42 and till now I am in loss but now AVAX is recovering, gets back to 40$ I started to think I should exit the market because I fear it will come back to $32 again. But what makes me change my mind is FOMO I got after reading this thread especially after seeing the chart you shared, I mean does AVAX have enough potential to touch $850 ever?

By the I do think this increment in tps will change the future of AVAX, but as we know one factor solely can't increase the value (a FOMO maybe) but there are other factors too. I started to read this section from yesterday but was not able to give it some time but now I am definitely going to give some time to it. (+1)

At least, I put my hopes on the AVAX token and monitor the Avalanche ecosystem carefully ^^

I also expect that this update will help Avalanche get better promotion, have more users, and the AVAX token price will increase. The prices I expect are $300 ~ cap $130B, and $850 ~ cap $380B. I think I'm leaning more towards the 1st, at least for now we should focus on the $300 expectation.

If I had AVAX in my account, I would take partial profits as BTC price approaches $150K or shows signs of reversing from bullish to bearish in 2025.

I am also not a successful trader, but an investor, till now I made good returns on my investments. And as I was talking AVAX has more potential to go up while in my last post, I was talking about booking it at the price tag of $40. But after reading these posts of yours, I decided not to, and here we are at $42. Well, not big profit, as I only covered my loss yet, now I will wait more. As, its my investment so it has to be a long one.

You are right, currently, it has $30B, and touching $130B seems a little hard at the moment, but who knows, if the next wave of airdrops runs on the AVAX blockchain just like it went on Solana. Airdrop waves might make this possible for AVAX to get that much M.Cap but yeah there are other factors do exists.

If I had AVAX in my account, I would take partial profits as BTC price approaches $150K or shows signs of reversing from bullish to bearish in 2025.

The chart you drew seems so fomo, at 300 USD or 800 USD, Avax can compete with both Sol and Bnb. I thought 100k tps wasn't necessary before, but the Inscription wave a few weeks ago that made the Avalanche gas fees were also more expensive, I understood that speed is never too much.

Ton blockchain has more than 100k tps but it's still frozen and broken, proving that it's just a test like Credits. For now, I can believe that Solana and Avalanche are fast because they have been tested and worked well last season. Compare to Solana, Avalanche is more stable.
