I also agree with you. I think Monero is better to mine than Ethereum. Because Monero can make maximum profit for miners who use GPU or CPU. And the price is proportional to the level of difficulty.

Currently I had 4 mining rig and for all of the time, I only focus on mining eth. Last month when cash out my eth, I got just a little bit profit after excluded electric bill. So I think about how to optimize the mining than I switch 2 machine for monero and 2 for eth. I choose monero because the hash still low and hope this month I will get more profits than previous month.

I prefer eth because it feels the price is rationally expensive, if I mining xmr, I can't reverse the capital because the price is still that much.

For me I would choose Monero rather than ETH, because of the easier hash that mean you can get more Monero than ETH, that will help you to cover the electric bill while still have some profitable

As we can see Monero coin are more lower in terms of market price value than Ethereum.That's why for me it's good to mine Ethereum than Monero.But we could expect more on Monero in 2019 as Ethereum has been experiencing a little bit struggle in the crypto matket now.

I like them both and see a lot of potential in both, nevertheless I would mine monero at the moment because it is a lot easier for small miners due to the ASIC resistance and low consumption of the algo... it is also a coin with great potential and constant updates from the dev team
