Bitcoin Mining vs Buying
« on: December 14, 2018, 12:04:22 PM »
Is it better to get BTC via mining or buying now?
It was no longer profitable early this year for mining. However, with the recent price surge, does mining becomes profitable now?
If yes, any suggestion? There are quite many cloud miner in the market.

I think that it is better to do both because that is like having two assets from buying a mining rig for bitcoin that will give you passive income and also bitcoin that will give you an asset that can give your significant profits because of the price pumps and also the other opportunity that you can grab to earn more.

If you’re happy with buying at the current exchange rate then go for it and buy straight out.
If you want to try and risk getting a better reward for your money than go ahead and spend what you would have spent on buying on mining instead.
You could end up being better off if mining difficulty and the exchange rate decreases (especially if you find a good mining contract/rig). However the odds can also equally go against you so the decision is yours to make.

You have to be specific... what mining are we talking about? Bitcoin mining is definitely not very profitable for the "small" guy, but more profitable for some people with cheaper electricity. Some people prefer to mine Alt coins with a much lower difficulty, so they make a little bit more profit. I would not go through all that problems and hoping that the difficulty will not increase or electricity will be more expensive in the future... I will rather buy/trade Crypto currencies with that investment capital.

I does not have much knowledge in mining of coins as i start off my crypto with pure investing, to me i think mining requires more effort compare to buying and i will rather buy and not mine.
