I also think that mimble-wimble implementation as a second layer on LTC might have something to do with the new step achieved...

I like Litecoin, very much, because it is old and runs smoothly. Confirmation times are small, and Segwit with Lightning Network, solve the scaling issues. I don't think that Litecoin, will have a problem of usability, in the next five years. So Litecoin, is moving well.
