Upbit resumes services after stopping it due to fake APT token
South Korea's Cryptocurrency Exchange Upbit halted Aptos services on September 24 due to Abnormal Deposit Attempt due to fake APT tokens of ClaimAPTGift.com. This fake token infiltrated approximately 400,000 Aptos wallets, defrauding users and exchanges. Due to this mistake, many users got the opportunity to take advantage of the fake token. As soon as Upbit came to know about this problem, to solve the problem, this exchange assured the users about the security of APT transactions. With this, Upbit resumed services despite price fluctuations.
