When I first came to the forum I was also confused so I asked questions and the admin answered many of the questions. And I think this is good because it will help those who are just coming to straight to the chat bar and ask their questions. One thing in any forum is to master the forum and navigate it. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

Just bcus say de admin and other top members dey do normal message for their, no mean say newbies go dey send unimportant message. Top members get lot of say for the community, which sometimes give them the right to do their own discussion there. Make Newbies and other forum members just see the chat bar as a quick wey to get response wen it comes to asking questions.

The only reason I see the chat interesting for now is because some people will post a topic and let people know through the chat that they have created a topic and the topic link will be included. But maybe it would be useful for newbies more. I see no reason not to create a topic to seek information and let people discuss about it after you make use of search engine and not getting satisfied information.

Actually, OP suggestions are quite alright but using the chat box might not really avail room and opportunities for constructive comments and replies which the person asking questions would read and learn from but if a thread is created, there would be room for enteraction amongst members contributing to helping the OP scale through on my this platform and gaining more knowledge on question asked.

For the time been in in the forum, I have seen the usefulness and the important of the chat bar even though I am not active in the chat bar. I have seen good information people have drop there. Apart from the links of threads they drop there there are some questions concern the forum that people asked there and the admin would answer them one by one and everyone benefits from there. There are some simple questions you want to asked you will not like to create thread for it. So you can can just do it there and get your answers straight and sharply. The chat bar is faster than thread in this forum in responding.

Well the chat box is good but in terms of getting replies as quick as you are making it sound seem to get me a little bit confused although I think otherwise because most of the time I have seen the message and replies there, they have always been like two to three hours interval between the replies although when the members are active Its really fun to use because the conservation and reply are instant so I think because the times I have posted hasn't been so fast in getting replies.

It was not only you guys oh! Almost everyone who came from other forums faced the same problem be a senior member to legendary all were confused. It was later everyone became to understand the forum and after when some some boards were removed and moved, things became more easier and at the first time I was seen people making comments at the top but I don't know where the comments were coming from it was later that I discovered that.

If you were active in the local board you have noticed that the board is active. Though we lack thread but even at that we are active just drop your topics.

We lack threads because most of us prefer to create new topic on Bitcointalk and see no need to create the same topic on Altcoinstalks. I have created more than 7 topics on Bitcointalk in this month of March but non on Altcoinstalks. So I noticed most people are just like that. The reason is that people will see it as repetitive post, although not on the same board but somehow boring to be posting the same thing.

You are on point Boss. Btt get more traffic, and many people wey dey here, dey btt too. And most people wey dey here na from BTT, dem come from due to mixer ban. So that no mean say them no go come focus on Btt more pass here. Many people dey btt wey no dey here, and na where population dey different topics go come out from, to hear the contributions of members. I believe say here still dey grow, with time more people got join, and the forum go dey more active pass now with new topics.

In my understanding, Bitcointalk and Altcointalk are two different platforms  and posting a topic in Bitcointalk shouldn't amount to plagiarism as long as you are the originator of the post. Secondly, some members who are on Bitcointalk are not members of the Altcointalk and vice versa. So, for the benefit of those members who are not in Bitcointalk it will be a nice idea to allow for repetition of post by the originator so that members here can also be exposed to new things and share ideas accordingly. Thirdly, that can even make this forum more busy. Like you have noted, most members here prefer to create new topics in Bitcointalk and that is affecting the activeness of the forum.

I totally understand what you're tryna say because I also have the same feeling when it comes to posting on the forum. But then again, it shouldn't really be considered to be spamming as long as you're the OP of the post on the other platform and you didn't copy from another user. The both platforms are two different platforms and like someone said, there are people that are here on this forum but not on BitcoinTalk forum so they'll not have access to the information on BitcoinTalk if they're not posted here.

With your explanation, I prefer not to copy anything from outside forums. If that's the case then we can copy ideas from outside forums but have to use our own vocabulary. Don't use the same sentences but have the same idea or purpose of the question.

That's right, by making the topic better purely from the contents of our heads, what you want to speak, prepare it well and choose to use good and polite language, there is no need to make people angry or think badly. So before making a post, we have to check and research further because many people read our sentences.

If the idea you took from an external source isn't originally yours, there's need to make references to the original post so people will know that the idea wasn't yours, even if yoi don't make a formal reference, you can just include in the post that yoi saw this somewhere and decided to bring it here so people here can also have access to the information too. That way, even if someone sees the same idea somewhere else, you won't be accused for copy/paste.

Just to add to what was said above - don’t try any smart move like paraphrasing the post.

He get so many accounts for Bitcointalk wey dem wan try present something wey no be their own dem come go Dey use ai take Dey paraphrase, even with that tools Dey wey go still show up how many percent similarities the paraphrased and non-paraphrased post get.

The best advise is to just make referencing posts an habit for you, even if it’s just two lines or one make sure to add a link to the source.

I prefer to paste photos and links that can be included rather than having to copy/paste the same text. After that we can give our personal opinion about the information we want to share. At least that way we can stay safe.

This shouldn’t be a big deal, just make sure to follow the right protocols and you’ll be fine, you do t have to start killing yourself for it. If you know that you’re copying someone else’s work just add link and that’s all, no one will request you to write a long epistle about your reason for using their work as long as it was referenced properly.

Proper referencing and citation as the case may be is very good if it is a copied work. This is the issue facing many uniformed members here. They copy firm other people's work no ot online and other platforms without any acknowledgement which is an offence and that amounts to plagiarism which is also a crime in the eyes of the law.

Although there is a bit difference when someone copies his or her work from elsewhere to another platform but in the real sense, one must be able to reference it so that people reading would know because the identity where it was copied from might be different Identity where it was pasted but it is still the same person who owns the write up. To avoid such a situation of  being tagged, you will have to make a reference for clarity.

Yes that is nice thought, there are some pictures that you go copy and you didn't link di source people would be attacking you for that. But as others have said, even though you copy the person article and all what you have to do is to add up the link you bring the information and everything will be alright. When you write something that you are not the author then people would like to k ow where the information was gotten and if they could not see the source they would report your as a plagiarist. And to avoid that just quote the person or the source of the article then all is good.

Very good advice and this should be an important lesson for those who always quote other people's writings but don't include the sources they got. The method you provide should be an alternative for providing better information.
