This TIP based only on my experience how to know if the airdrop is fake
Few months ago i encounter a fake airdrop using a TELEGRAM BOT.
An airdrop bot pretending as a real airdrop of a coin already listed on CMC
How i find out if they're scam or not?
First i search the name of coin on COINMARKETCAP from there i saw the legit website of that coin..
Second i search the TELEGRAM GROUP CHAT link from the WEBSITE of coin
Then i ask the ADMIN in TELEGRAM GROUP CHAT if the airdropbot i saw is legit or not and they said to me its not legit..the COIN that using airdropbot i encounter are using only the name of their coin.
Another FAKE AIRDROP i saw last month is BITAIR, BITAIR asking for selfdrop to buy their token
i search the BITAIR WEBSITE and i find it.i see the TWITTER account from there website
and i notice on there last post was november 2017 if im not mistaken, and bit air ico sale was ended last november.
Both of this type of airdrop are SCAM, I noticed they both collecting a member for their TELEGRAM CHANNEL and collecting FOLLOWER on their twitter account, And asking for selfdrop then dissapear after of ICO Sale.
I hope this post can help some NEWBIE to avoid to be a victim of airdrop with selfdrop SCAM SCHEME.
Any other tip on checking if airdrop is legit?
-
just try it you do or follow the airdrops. I am sure you will get a feel of its own that follows the airdrops were very wasting time. and indeed I think it is less effective. better do the mining or the bounty only.
-
Most Airdrop and Selfdrop now are scam, Also check the team if it is legit or just stolen images you can prove it by looking at their social media if there's any picture of the team if didn't see anything most likely a scam. Some airdrop doesn't even have a website very obvious scam.
-
I can easily say to you almost all airdrop is fake! Or worthless. I don't care any airdrop anymore.
-
I can tell you with certainty that almost all the airdrops nowadays are fake, especially any airdrop that asks for money before receiving. Those are the latest scam for airdrop scam artist.
-
Airdrop these days are trash many coins giveaways, but no project to run just to scam people, to know the fake airdrop just go their website, their ann thread, the social media, the team if none of these it's a fake.
-
There are a lot of airdrops are the scam. Filling of airdrops is wastage of time. Bounty is better than the airdrop.
-
a very useful information, in order to avoid things that are manipulated about the aidrop project.... :) :) :)
-
Thank you very much for the information, because this is a reference for me going forward in following the bonus token from Aidrop going forward
-
Yes, it's the easiest way to detect whether airdrop is a scam or not, but in the end the scam remains the same even though it looks legit.
-
Thank you very much for the posts and information that you shared, because this is my first time joining the crypto world and really sharing information here
-
Most of the Airdrops aren't real they are selling our data to other companies that's why I stopped participating in airdrops. Bounty seems to be good for now. But due to the market conditions it need more patience
-
If there is a airdrop that gives a big reward needs to be wary of as a fraud. Airdrop altcoin.Yang already exist in the market and enter coinmarketcap is also usually a hoax. And never fill the airdrop data if told to fill the private key, it is definitely the goal to want to steal.
-
I try not to work in airdrop, because today it’s impossible to make money on this proctically, and I don’t want to waste time on it, it’s better to make money in bounty
-
You are better to stay away from airdrop, it is not recommended anymore. There are too many cases of scam airdrops. They are created in various sectors. So, for me, it is better to not join the airdrop temporally. Not only airdrop, you also need to be more careful in selecting bounties.

It is very difficult to find out if an airdrop is fake. One need to research the airdrops to find out the genuine ones. An airdrop will stimulate your apetite expecting money that will not be forthcoming. Airdrops are unreliable. They are mostly scams and not recommendable.
-

If an airdrop is offering a ridiculous amount of money worth of tokens (think $1,000+) then it is likely fake. In fact, 99% of airdrops don't end up trading at the value they say they are worth. If you participate in an airdrop, do so with the knowledge that it will probably be worth one tenth of what they say the value is.

Yeah, as I was experiencing working on several airdrops, and all ended with no worth. I think mining also the same with airdrop, just wasting time because too expensive costs. We only have one option right now. It is doing bounties.
-
do you do anything like that every time you want to get an airdrop token?
it is a waste of time. you better research the team, whitepaper, website from the bounty. not from airdrop.

well that is an option but I still don't think that it is really easy to spot if the airdrop is fake or not.
I google the airdrop coin and try to find if there is a legit project and if they have an airdrop or not. Also asking the project group if they have an airdrop is an another option
-
For you to know a fake airdrop you must make proper research , watch the team from time to time, check the White paper and the website. Don't forget many airdrop are scam.

~snip~
I hope this post can help some NEWBIE to avoid to be a victim of airdrop with selfdrop SCAM SCHEME.
Yes, this will be very helpful for newbie or beginner in airdrop or bounty. We must be more careful to study many aspects in the project to conclude the project trust-able or suspicious. The first thing, we need to ensure that the project makes sense or not. :D
-

The newly way to ask money from airdrops participants that possible the next victim. Sending money to unknown person must not be. It is clear strategy that the airdrop is scam. This is not base on emotion but base on standard ICO identification.
-
to most airdrobs it is indeed a scam, it is better to follow mining with a better investment, and fortunately, if you feel the airdrob is a scam or it is not better to join it later you will know what it feels like to not be curious ...
-
I've not interested anymore against the airdrop. Although many also pay for, still possible just a little. the more it gets worse again being shitcoin there is no cost, just as a display only.
-
with these condition of the market is not worth joining airdrop nowadays you can get only below 1 dollar worth of tokens and some scammy airdrops with no projects behind it so you can not get a free money anymore.
-
It is prone to scam accusations. Airdrops are known easy money so the tendency your easy money thinking will bringyou into regretful participation. Even you search the airdrops if it is scam, still the end is questionable. Some won't send your tokens if their project did not end successfully even it is legit unwanted things is still possible to happen.
-
Sometimes some airdrops are not there in coinmarketcap but sometimes they do but if the airdrops are ain't there you can search on some ico rating sites like ico reward ico track and etc. and some of the airdrops have no websites but if they do some of them are fake, my only tip is check their social media sites like facebook or twitter and look if they have many followers and second also ask their manager on the telegram because they will know if it is real or not.
-
I try to avoid participating in airdrop. It will be very difficult to find Legit airdrops now. You are better to stay away because it only wastes your time. Most of airdrops are scams only, so you will get nothing from them. Even if you get the tokens, they are very small amount.
-
And I least like to follow airdrop.
For myself Airdrop is just a waste of time.
Airdrop should be eliminated from the world of cryptocurrency because it only makes me dizzy.
-
My opinion is that airdrop is useless,
I did them for a couple of months, and what is the use of these tokens on the wallet, with a penny price
-
in my opinion fake airdrop definitely uses a telegram bot to receive tokens or coins. get to know the team further, such as checking the link and the website. besides, check ANN, the roadmap and also the whitepaper. the original airdrop will not ask for a deposit.
-
I am not very interested in airdrop, I feel my time is wasted with uncertain results, and therefore I am more inclined to bounty.
-
Avoid airdrop that requires you to fill out KYC forms and post privet ket or wallet addresses in telegram groups and Twitter social media, don't easily give the wallet address to everyone, make sure you don't follow airdrop if you are a beginner, because it just wastes your time to fill out the registration form.
-
now I have never done Airdrop, it is better for me to trade altcoin, because for me we trade more profitably, because now the market price development is getting better, so I'm sure it will also get better profits.
-
hope you are aware that you are account is under plagiarism. you need to watch out for your account else you will be ban from here. Airdrops are 50/50. none is sure until you see it in your wallet.
-
The first is that we need to analyze the reward journals offered. Then, we also have to analyze the project promoted by Airdrop, including anything offered. It's not easy, however, we can know more about fake airdrops by knowing the airdrop team and concept.
-
I don't know that Airdrop is appreciated or not because Airdrop is now a lot of SCAM and that's why I don't believe in Airdrop anymore! .
My basic principle is that Airdrop is a useless job but wants to earn a lot of money, that's strange!
-
most airdrops are fake. Particularly telegrams are the airdrops bot or those where you need to make rewrites or reposts. Do not waste your time on it. you will not earn anything there. Even if you come with coins then they will not be worth anything. I have 50 different coin with airdrops on the MEW wallet. This is a waste that is worthless
-
Knowing fake airdrop sometimes is not easy to know which one is fake airdrop but based on my personal experience and encounter I participated in many airdrop since last year 2018 until now I have not received any reward, that's another way of knowing fake airdrop because they don't reward and most of the airdrop that's fake are not listed in exchange.
-
It is always better that before joining any airdrop you must search if they have a community chat group first and then ask them if they are running an airdrop to be sure that it is really them who is running the airdrop
-
Most of the airdrops are fake and scam. Don't waste your time in airdrop or airdrop investigation. If you participate in 100 airdrops, you will find 95%+ airdrops are fake and scam. Invest your time only in quality bounty that has good team, well business plan and potential implementation of plan and so much aspects for a project.

First i search the name of coin on COINMARKETCAP from there i saw the legit website of that coin..
Second i search the TELEGRAM GROUP CHAT link from the WEBSITE of coin
Not all coins are listed in coinmarketcap when the teams provide the Airdrop program. For new coins, they are absolutely not listed in coinmarketcap yet, the teams should fulfill some requirements to list them on coinmarketcap.
Yes, it is a good way to analyze its official website, especially focus to gain information about the team members. Don't join if the team members are likely fake.
