Bitcoin is a payment system through which you can conduct operations with a given currency. In essence, this is a new form of world money, part of the "new economy" of the future.

Though bitcoin has no formation like dollar, euro, pound , we can say it money .Actually we can use bitcoins as other currencies , but in general we don’t want to do that .May be its extreme volatility is responsible for that .For this voladility , people won’t want to take their salaries in the form of bitcoins .But the function of bitcoins is as same as money .

I do not agree with you that people do not want to take a salary in bitcoins,I know a lot of people who would not mind getting paid in cryptocurrency. I myself belong to such people. Also, I do not believe that bitcoin can be used as a means of calculation at the moment. I consider it as a means of accumulation and multiplication of my money in the future
