Both of these coins do have their respective functions and goals.
If I'm not mistaken because a lot of features provided by LiteCoin and Ethereum.

LiteCoin was created almost exactly the same as Bitcoin and may be the difference from the way mining and supply of coins that are different from Bitcoin.
Ethereum was created to be the parent of altcoins that will be launched with the main function and purpose of that is the parent of smartcontracts.

Actually ltc and eth both is good altcoin but i prefer ltc than eth because of some reason...ltc transaction speed high than eth and the fee is much low than eth..also there has a different between ltc and eth in price..i always love to convert my btc to ltc as it give me much $ than eth..in crypto world this both coin doing very good..but i like ltc and it has good opportunity for me

I think ETH is still better  and more popular  than litecoin.  But If you have  much money and want to invest,  I think Litecoin  is also the best choice  to invest. You can try it
