Being a Bounty hunter is still profitable or not?

Comparatively, it is no as profitable as it used to in 2015 but if one is able to join good projects, he will be able to earn something small. Sometimes it can be as low as 1 to 5 dollars though

Have to wait for a really good project and support something valuable for the progress of altcoins that are being developed.
There are so many bounties that end in failure because of factors that can't be guessed, I'm sure only a few can make money.

If you can find nice projects with good tokenomics (and going IEO) then you might have a chance. For example, if you get $X worth of tokens, and the coin makes 5x in ieo, that would worth something nice.(happened to me)

To be honest it is less profitable unlike the old days or maybe it has something to do with the current market conditions . Just be patient and don't stop joining bounties you might be lucky in one project.

Well, you might take hunting for bounty to be a job,but the mistake you will make is depending solely on it.
If you do, you might end up being bankrupt, just as it has happened to some people.

Agree. If we still believe in our luck on the bounty program, so why not continue working on it. But never depends on the bounty rewards for monthly income. Most of the bounties just result in pennies or cents. It is the fact that everybody should realize from the bounty working.

Apart from the most successful period of 2016, thanks to which it was possible to earn quite good money with the help of the Bounty company on bitcointalk, then I was already very lucky with the help of the Pundi X company in 2018. Such a Chance occurs once in a lifetime.  But I hope that luck smiles at me again and I continue to work in this direction.

To be a bounty hunter can be profitable to an extent because not every bounty campaign is actually profitable due to failure to reward the bounty hunters but some are still profitable to participate on because of how legit the bounty is, but currently not everybody found it interesting in doing bounty campaign.

Bounty used to be very profitable, but now bounty seems to have gone down, most project treats their bounty hunters like slaves, even some projects don't pay their  bounty hunters and this has really make the bounty jobs looks sh*tty.

when compared to 2015, today's bounty hunter is very unfortunate,
but at least today we can collect a few dollars without having to spend a lot of energy.

Todays bounties are not profitable anymore but more on wasted works and scumbags promotion, sometimes we are being cheated in front of our face more and more reasons to count including low budget campaign ending up nothing.

The problem is not to be legal, but to be profitable. According to research (https://www.theblockcrypto.com/2019/08/07/a-post-mortem-on-the-ico-bubble-at-least-89-of-icos-are-in-the-red/), 89% of ICO/IEO projects failed, so it's only 1/10 chance to succeed

I don't understand what do you mean by "invest in prizes". If you monitored the bounty issues currently, there were too many bounties that just ended with payments for cents or pennies. Moreover, there were many bounties that turned out to be scams in the end. In this case, what prizes we can hope?
