For long term, it's better to invest in top altcoins. There are not many coins can bring you 3x or 5x profit as in the past. Some people proposed Tron but I don't recommend this coin. It's a pump and dump coin instead with no real value or contribution.

I think going for that many probably is too much unless you have seriously giant budget. I will keep my stocks around options like ETH/LTC and few others. However, I really don’t mind going for some Upcoming ICOs, as they not only have huge potential but also are a lot cheaper as well. So this is something we need to be really watchful about to be able to really benefit and more importantly, it is to be comfortable with everything.

I think that the best option for investing in the long term is to choose old and well-known coins, such as ZEC, LTC, ETH, EOS and not buy useless coins that can disappear at any time. Most of the coins are 80-90% down from all time high. thus if you would like to take a position, this might be the possibility, cause they appear terribly possible to rise once more, altcoins season most likely coming back prior to everyone thinks

Yes i agree with your opinions more than it, ethereum has big capitalization of marketcap after the bitcoin we can see more information about it on here https://coinmarketcap.com/ the other reason why ethereum has good potential in coming future because mostly smart contract and decentralize application dapps be built on ethereum blockchain, although the scaling problem on ethereum blockchain is still a big problem on ethereum blockchain we can see on here more information about it https://blocktivity.info/  . But in my own personal analysis ethereum is good alternatives coins especially for long term investment in cryptocurrencies.

Don't go for "top blabla". Just because they have good volume in 2019 doesn't mean they will have their places in next 3-5 years. I mean yes Bitcoin, Ether, LTC is here to stay but if you want to earn 'more' money, you need to find a suitable altcoin (which has a good future/looks promising) and gain 30-50-100x!

I don't buy top coins, I'm looking for new emerging coins. Wanchain is one of my favourites.
