When we look at Coin Market Cap, we can see a new coin and it seems to be very famous: it is Avalanche [AVAX]: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/avalanche/
Now, I have done research about Avalanche if it's a good coin and have read an article on Hacker Noon (it's a platform for Hackers and Computer Experts, so people on it are very experienced for code and programming). About Avalanche, it was written:

^ this is a coin that is move positif this year. I have been watching the avalanche price movement in recent times, I am very confident that the price increase will continue to occur the avalanche price. avalanche will continue to move up the rankings.

I am not really familiar with this new Avalanche coin, but I think I have read something on this before I just could not reprise my memory where. Anyway, based on what I know on this thread alone, I think there must be something potentially good with this platform and if this can be performing as it is supposed to then we might welcome another good addition to the roster of quality platforms. In case I could free some of my remaining funds, then maybe I should look closer into this and also "invest" some, who knows this can be going to the moon at the right time.

This project is like Ethereum, only with a very low gas price. It is possible to transfer your tokens from the Ethereum network to the Avalanche network. But there are few supported by the project at the moment. For example UMI SUSHI. Here is a link to the full list https://pangolin.exchange/

I think that veery team from every project will always say that theirs will be huge, but not all of them can really prove it. As long as they are listed in big exchanges, they will have a chance to be huge. And this AVAX may be one of them. But let's see what fundamental news can really finetune the price to be huge

For Avalanche, it had good news recently, when Pangolin, a Dex like Uni Swap, was launched. It has already a huge value locked into it and will be listed at Coin Market Cap soon, a dev said. And in March, a new mainnet upgrade will be done, it is called Apricot and it will bring building tools for Defi applications.
Avalanche could be a big player like Binance and Polka Dot because technically, it can provide all features needed when Apricot update will be released.

I think that with the solutions they offer, the Avalanche platform will become a player in the decentralized financial market. Given that some experts say that the potential DeFi market is huge in the next few years. So I have a prediction that the price of AVAX tokens will increase in the next few years.

I don't know anything about this coin. but if see the market exchanges, this is a good coin. The current price $39, I think this is still expensive which we know the ATH is $59

Avalanche is not a new coin, it has been in the space for some time now and just launch its main net. I believe Avalanche is one of the most promising ICO last year but the project is struggling for lack of strong community and developers are not building on the chain, just look at what Polkadot is doing incentivizing developers to move to their chain but nothing like this from Avalanche foundation, if this don't gain any traction this year, I believe it will be one of the failed Ethereum competitors in the space

It has already performed really well from last few months and price seems high to me already but no one knows how high it will go but eventually the project has to launch its products and services to find real value.

i have always known Avalanche as a quality project and a long term asset which will grow to multi billion dollar project. currently, there has been lots of partnerships and development with projects into defi, finance, sales and so many other options. Avanlache is a quality project with prospect and will achieve huge success in the future.

AVAX is a highly promising blockchain that can help solve many of the recurring problems in old generation blockchains. However, it needs to stand the test of time and gain serious adoption to be sure that it can perform well when Bitcoin--or ETH-like traffic passes through it.

Yes, Avalanche has already a lot of DeFi partnerships and also a Chain Link cooperation. Nazarov from Chain Link talked about it. Right now, Avalanche is very cheap and maybe a good opportunity for buy.

Community is still build because Avalanche is very new. Avalanche is not focussing on marketing like Polkadot right now, Avalanche is building a working product first before big marketing.

Hopefully, this can indeed make it to the top after some years of existence. The best test of anything is always the time and in the world of cryptocurrency many were not able to make it after even just two years of existence and sometimes it can because the market eventually changed its interest and the platform is left behind worthless. I am then wishing the people of Avalanche all the luck and power they need. Considering the kind of response AVX is getting so far, I would say that it can have a better chance of survival, and it is all up to the dev to use this very good advantage.

I quite like AVAX, it was one of my investments based on Ethereum gas prices becoming too high and speculation moving into other POS platforms such as avalanche, terra/luna and elrond. Fortunately all three of these investments I was able to sell half at 2x profit in this month alone. A bit like the 2017 "Bitcoin too expensive" altcoin moon scenario or even early 2018 speculation on "Ethereum killers". Despite how much I love Eth, I do like a good competitor ;)

Diversify is always useful and nice to see your profits. We have a very great situation now, where we can make a nice profits when we invest wisely in a good coin.
From Avalanche, I expect very huge progress and maybe you have heard about Avalanche Apricot Update, it will bring new features and lower fees for Swap. I also made a swap on Pangolin Swap recently and hope for an Airdrop like from Uniswap (I missed Uniswap Airdrop unfortunately).
I also now see it's the 3rd largest POS coin, only after Cardno and Polkadot and above Beaconchain (Eth 2.0) that's in 5th at the moment, which says a lot in my opinion:

I've been reading alot about this coin both on bitcointalk and altcointalk here, alot of people talking about it, this has caused me to do some research on it and hopefully, I will be investing in this coin as soon as i get some spare money, but my fear is whether it hasnt already become huge cus from coinmarketcap, I see the coin was just below three dollars by December last year, and now, it's almost thirty dollars, hope it's not too late to buy?

I think that there is no need to follow the lead of the market, do not think that this coin will take off, today the whole market is growing, but as usual it will soon start to fall, do an analysis when the coin goes down

I think for the upcoming mini-cycle, it may well be a bit late to invest and other projects will do better in the short-term. Avax along with Luna and Elrond both had considerable gains recently as Ethereum competitors, but now I see L2 solutions to take up more investments again.
For me, none of these Eth competitors are worth holding long-term without taking considerable profits, even Cardano. It reminds me of Zilliqa and Wancahin in 2018, both coins went up 4x during the speculation of Ethereum competitors,, but the relevant thing to note is that while Zilliqa has since recovered it's euro value, it's still down 90% against Bitcoin, WAN still -98%. Unfortunately I didn't take profits at 2-4x, hence I don't make these mistakes anymore ;)
These hot new blockchains are great for trading as a speculator, the most profitable by far, but terrible store of values in my opinion as too high risk. If Optimistic Ethereum pans out, and good quality L2 solution begins to be implemented into the DeFi ecosystem, then these competitors will fall hard. For me these coins are nothing more than a necessary hedge against Ethereum failures, in order to increase my Ether holdings, not much else.

@op perhaps you are the one who just noticed this gem, avax has being around for sometime now and so far it has been performing beyond expectations, agreed compare to other coins out there, avax is relatively new but has a very big potential no doubt.

Every Cryptocurrency project has people that make it because most of the tokens and can't even stand alone people must make it happen, first of all it must start from the developer and the founder they are the ones to make it happen before the general public can accept it based on its innovative ideas and I have researched about the avalanche project they are trying in their own way.

AVAX is a coin for the developers of blockchain technology. AVAX labs has build the internet of finance. It has build for new interoperable block chains. It provides the security over the previous block chains. So, i think this project is very strong. so must hold some AVAX coins for future.

The coin is quite visible. However looking at the whitepaper, it strewn with a lot of technical terms and alphabetic soup. In the end, not much I can decipher is going on there. Does it have a use case or MVP at present?

Well, I would not say that the growth is significant, the price of bitcoin on March 9 was 54,000$ today 56,000$. I think the coins that were unlocked were not sold.

Yes, it wasn't expected because at first a DIP occured but it was bought quickly. I see a very strong buy at Avalanche currently, how millions of newly released coins were bought.

Taking up top 30 on CoinMarketCap, I can only say it is a very interesting one to take note of and follow the project. Though, somehow I am getting aware of it for the very first time.
It definitely looks much like a new innovation and worth all the efforts to get to know about it. The purpose,the usecases, project roadmap and all of that.

And it's true that now AVAX is big and has a large community so that it can rise to the top 20 of Coinmarketcap, just as Professor Emin Gün Sirer of Cornell University said.
AVAX does have a very complete function so it is very good for AVAX to be held like Ethereum which has an expensive value now after dropping from the price of 200 USD in 2019 .

Avalanche will definitely continue to compete with Solana, BSC and Ethereum to get the best value from the various altoins that are already circulating in the cryptocurrency market and I believe that Avalanche has the full power of its #DevelopmentTeam .
I also saw on the main website that Avalanche already has a lot of ecosystems that can increase market cap in the future such as DEX and various platforms that support Avalanche.

Avax has a very good development, prices continue to increase and compete with other Crypto coins. It seems that this coin is starting to be enjoyed a lot and is a new favorite for investors. There are several coins growing from this Avax Blockchain, and they are increasing day by day. I think this Avax will have a significant price increase, therefore buy and invest this coin before the price gets higher.

AVAX when compared to Ethereum, DOGE, Litecoin and Bitcoin coins, it is certain that this AVAX coin is fairly new and this proves that AVAX is indeed a good coin because in a short time the value of AVAX is already expensive and has a large market cap.
