hahaa @Master107 you have chosen two good options although I think Tesla already accepts it if I'm not mistaken. I was surprised by what Mazzanti has done by accepting Bitcoin as a payment method, I did not expect it at all since it is a little known brand, or less known than other big car brands. @Delgboke that Tesla took the first step is a big step for Bitcoin and the crypto industry in general. They have put cryptocurrencies in the eye of the hurricane for being a world renowned company. The last brand (far as I know) of cars is Mazzanti, but I'm sure there will be many more to come, and not just cars or supercars. One of the main banks in my country (BBVA) recently started talking about the possibility of having a Bitcoins custody service, so other banks and services will not take long to adapt.

@pelana vreo I did not know that rumors had appeared about those two companies. If Walmart accepted Bitcoin it would also be very positive, since that market niche I think I remember has not been reached by the crypto industry, and about Royal Dutch Shell we can say the same. This is a hard question more than guessing the price of Bitcoin, lol :) !! There are more than a million companies in the world, so it's not easy to guess who will accept Bitcoin. I know some companies in my country that will accept Bitcoin in April, but so sadly are not popular companies worldwide but only in my country because they make products only for some regions inside the country.

Bill Gates supports Bitcoin? I read the opposite news, that Bill Gates said that if you are not the richest person in the world (like Elon Musk) then you should not invest in Bitcoin :)
So I don't think Microsoft or Bill Gates funds will invest in crypto in the short term.
I think other major companies will in turn announce plans to apply crypto in their customer gratitude program instead of accepting crypto as a form of payment.

@KryptoBull there are several interview videos that Bill Gates did years ago in which he supported Bitcoin. I think they are from 2014 if I remember correctly, the last videos, the newest in which Bill criticizes Bitcoin is for the supposed power consumption. You can find all those videos on Youtube.

If Google hires Vitaly Buterin to create its own cryptocurrency, then this cryptocurrency will use the erc20 platform anyway. Based on this, we can assume that Google will accept Ethereum anyway.

I don't know to what extent Google or Apple would invest in Bitcoin (and if they have, they don't say it publicly) but I think that these two big tech companies instead of investing would try to create their own coin.

Pagani Automobili is not a "big company" as we are used to seeing, but I find it curious that it is the most luxurious car brands that are taking the first steps in crypto. And since you're talking about Facebook, I don't think they accept Bitcoin as a payment method, since they are (or were) preparing Libra, their own cryptocurrency, so it would seem strange to me that they use other crypto.

That's true @Dark Knight, but I think the news that Tesla accepts Bitcoin to buy its cars is more focused on a large company accepting Bitcoin as a payment method. @aiviaa485 there are numerous places where you can buy cars with cryptocurrencies, the sites that I know have a good reputation and you can't just buy cars, you can also buy luxury items, luxury homes, luxury boats and much more... Also on those websites that I say, there are not only supercars, there are also "normal" cars.

@Bobcrypto I agree with you. Bitcoin (and some other crypto) is at its sweetest spot right now. The worldwide exposure and popularity that it is achieving will not only make large companies interested in accepting it as a payment method, but it will also cause many companies of any size to show interest, so over the next few years we will see a growing adoption of Bitcoin and crypto in general.

Haha...If the underdog company/ies will sprout and overtake the big ones. It is a major event that could challenge the bigger names. Normally the most popular are always on the spotlight. Because they gain enough pride and dignity. I hope to see not much popular project to adopt Bitcoin.

I think that for small businesses that is the biggest problem, doing something that Tesla has done, they may think that they cannot do it, and logically putting the money that Tesla has invested in Bitcoin is not easy, but in terms of adoption they can do it and it would be an example to follow for other modest companies. For me it would be how to show the world that it is not necessary to be a giant to adopt and use Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency :D.

I agree. If there's one to make it, that would be the awaking part for big companies. Then Bitcoin will come up to another level of demands. FOMO is possible to take place imo.

Tesla has just shown us that you can earn more from investing in Bitcoin than from selling your own cars. This is ridiculous, but it will go a long way with adoption. You come from a past time or you don't read much news, right?. Weeks ago Tesla announced that they would accept Bitcoin as a payment method to buy their cars, but there is still nothing more defined in terms of sales contracts and other things. Reading the news is always good @Brithyislam, it keeps us informed as we learn ;).

I know that it is very difficult or almost impossible to guess which company will be the next to accept Bitcoin. I said Pagani because Mazzanti launched its own token a few weeks ago, and as we already know, both companies are dedicated to selling luxury cars. There are companies within the same industry that may be more interested, you never know ;)

I wouldn't know what to say to you @Master107, I mean Alibaba, being a Chinese company, I don't know to what extent their country's legislation would allow them to do something like that. If China accepted Bitcoin without legal problems and Alibaba accepted it as a payment method, many things would change, then the next to accept it could be Amazon so as not to lose market with its rivals. I like that you are in advanced mode, good ideas can come from there ;).

Bitcoin is not getting bigger (or do you call drop from $64k to $40k getting bigger?), but remained popular. I hope and expect that some food related chain would accept Bitcoin as a payment. Facebook?. I think you have the wrong company name. Facebook has been working on its own coin, "Libra" for quite some time, but it seems that their plans did not go very well and they have had to put it off for a long time. Tesla said in an official statement that it would accept Bitcoin in 2021, but a few weeks later Elon Musk said that finally Tesla would not accept Bitcoin due to the amount of energy consumed for mining. I still don't understand how a tech company like Tesla "didn't know" that Bitcoin is mined with electricity. Personally, I think it was bait to later make way for Doge, Musk's favorite toy, but anyway there is still no official statement confirming it, but I am almost convinced that Tesla will accept Doge sooner or later.

For all its very public break with Bitcoin last year and seemingly embracing Dogecoin instead, the company recently filed its annual report with SEC, and as it turns out, Tesla owns Bitcoin for 2 billion US dollars, but doesn't seem to have any holdings in Dogecoin. Apple has always worked like this, its own hardware, its own software... I don't see why now they should change part of their spirit and "depend" on another product when they could create their own cryptography without problems and also having guaranteed success. Apple knows the cryptocurrency industry very well, but at the moment it does not seem interested in being part of it, at least not yet, but that can always change in the future if they have another perspective.

Maybe in time they could create a stablecoin of their own, but considering how Facebook's turned out, I doubt we'd see that happening anytime soon.

I agree. Apple is, essentially, a closed garden. They like to be in full control of their products. They could never do that with the cryptos that already exist. I don't think Apple would have a problem with that, keep in mind they have some of the best software engineers in the world, anyway Apple could try to hire outside talent like Google did with Buterin. What is clear is that if Apple one day approaches cryptocurrencies by accepting Bitcoin or creating its own crypto, it will be a revolution and a guaranteed success, but as we have already mentioned before, Apple always keeps everything secret until the time comes to make it public.
