Alot of the major car manufacturers are turning their sights on electric and hybrid cars and it seems it's only a matter of time before petrol and diesel cars are gone the way of the dodo. Tesla unveiled an impressive truck for transporting goods. Alot of governments and car manufacturers seem to be getting on board with going green for all the obvious reasons but how soon do you predict before electric is the norm in transportation ?
Do you own an electric car or are considering buying one ? What are your reasons for buying it ?

Personally, I don't want to have a car I prefer on riding a public vehicle. It can help reduce traffic and pollution. In terms of electricity , electricity was produced by different power source like coal, diesel, wind, hydro and geothermal. When diesel is gone the source of producing electricity will be lessen. I think it will be great if all of us doesn't have personal vehicles but rather ride public vehicle (even the diesel powered or electricity). but the technology grows we can have solution for power generation to cars that have lesser consumption of electricity. And that would be the future. Electric cars is just the start of our improving technology.

Everything depends on the corporations that extract and sell oil. They impede development to everything that can replace their product, and since they have a lot of money and power the electric cars will not become the future soon. But given that the maintenance of electric cars is becoming cheaper and cheaper than conventional cars, sooner or later it will become a future.

there is a lot of advantage when buying or owning electric cars, not only for the environment but also it saves a lot of money than using fueled cars

Yes, there's a big possibility this will be expanded all over the world in fact there are so many countries today that are using electric cars because this is an environment friendly that most of the people are looking for.

for me it's good that if we have electric vehicles left unattended and can get out of the way, it's possible that we can have that because there's now a electric bike and it's good to use because it requires gas

Electric car still can produce pollution. Although it is much better to use than petroleum. I think water car is the best solution to help eliminate the pollution.

I believe that soon electric cars will press the cars that run on fuel. After all, electric cars are very comfortable. If I had a lot of money, I would have bought an electric car right away.

I think electric cars will take over the car industry. There will be a time that electric cars will be comparable to the cars that we have nowadays. Manufacturers are doing everything they can to improve their electric cars and its showing every time they release a product. It keeps on improving every year and it will be only a matter of time before they take over on the car industry. Maybe this will happen 10-15 years from now. The less fuel the better.

I think yes, the future is behind electric cars, I see more and more cars that work at the expense of electricity and many companies are starting to switch completely to the production of such cars.

When I see electric cars topic in Altcoins & Cryptocurrencies discussions, I thought there is a new coin for electric car's user :D But yeah a lot of country create deadline to ban diesel/gas cars. So future is electric cars.

It is great to look into this promising area in the car manufacturing industry.this will make the future of cars more advanced and fuel saving because at the moment fuel prices are one of the major things that consume a lot of money from people hard earned money. Electric cars will help to push countries forward however it will have an economic effect on oil producing countries.

Maybe I will consider buying electric cars in the future if I have much money because today, the price of electric cars is too high for me. My reason is that in the future, we are going to end the traditional era and everything will become digital and electric car is one of the digital product. So I think we can take the benefits from the digital technology and I am sure when the digital era comes, the price of every digital product will not be too expensive to buy.

It you are interested to buy an electric car you should wait a while because I think that next years technology will enhance on recharge time and reliability of batteries.

Yes batteries is the main problem. Anyway I read that Japan now number 1 county in world with electric cars. They said that this is the future and we will be in this wave first!

I can't say for sure, I think it's something which shouldn't be done, we shouldn't automate or electrify things so much like with electrocars or something like 5G or near things. We need to have something old fashioned as well, what these companies plan, I mean petrol and diesel one to do with that ?

I absolutely agree. And I would also buy an electric car if I had a possibility. I hope I'll be able to do this in future.

I have nothing against electric cars, but nevertheless I am in some way a conservative and even if I have an electric car once, I still would like to have another car on gasoline or diesel. I like the sound of the engine and the whole process of using a car with an internal combustion engine.

Yes, bros, car is a car no matter how you put it and let it be so no matter what. I am with the last poster here I can own it but please do make it something like from it's actual use. Let's a bit of electro cars will be there, no more than 10% overall.

Cars will fly through the air, now such lines are already in our country. I think that this area will continue to develop. There are already flying taxis and planes that will operate in a taxi system in 30 countries of the world

My neighbour have such car and I still haven't had a chance to ask him about all that stuff really anyway. I am totally lost all together with that matter completely and totally. I do not want electric cars if you do ask me, really. I simply do not.

I am all for that but I am very scary that it will be used against the people in some way and I am frighten cause of that. There could be many many car crashes cause of that really. It's very imporant question anyway for many many cases.

Wait, what does having an electric car has to do with crashing? Electric cars are not necessarily self-driving cars.

Electric cars should now completely replace cars with fuel. Our ecology is greatly affected by such a careless attitude towards it. And the farther - the worse the environment.

I think that in the near future, we will all use electric cars. (The dirt that comes with the exhaust fumes pollutes the soil and shortens our lives, so there’s no reason to use cars on an internal combustion engine)

I think future world will go by electric power so electric car has a bright future as well as. Oil and other patrolium is going to be end day by day so that maximum company going to be electric car. So everybody should encourage electric car as environment friendly.

I think this is a significant change in the automotive field. Technology transfer is unavoidable. Electric cars will be the new prima donna, given the depletion of fuel oil stocks.

Electric cars are Consuming same fuel as normal vehicles because the electricity use to charge those vehicles is generated by oil coal and gas usually. So the fuel cost is mostly the same as before. Until more sustainable and less cost source like solar energy is use for electrical car charging, it is not going to change for whole world in any time sooner.

by now we should know that the advocacy on saving the atmosphere and green energy is facade. I was expecting an exploit in the market by the electric car with the advent of fuel price pump and Russian war but the world economy rely on crude oil and gas. maybe this could turn things around
