Forum related / No option to self moderate threads here?
« on: April 15, 2024, 09:59:09 PM »
Hi ladies and gentlemen..

The question is pretty straight forward, I actually have create a good number of threads on this forum in general, never had any intention of self moderating any of my threads, but then, I noticed that I've also never come across any thread that is self moderated by the op of that thread, so I felt like asking here.

Is there a reason why such ability or feature was not added to this forum? Or is the toggle for ability to do this hiding someone in our individual account setting?

Cryptocurrency Trading / Do not sell, Just HODL (v2)
« on: April 15, 2024, 09:51:03 PM »
I assumed this thread to be the first on this subject, so, starting another thread inline with same subject, I decided to make this the version two of the same subject.

Personally, I feel the market should be pumping hard right, I mean, there are alot of catalyst to ensure the market is pumping, we have a lot of good news,
1. Bitcoin is just a few days to halving, shouldn't the excitement be driving investors to buying instead of selling?
2. Bitcoin and ethereum ETF got approved by the Hong Kong securities and futures commission, people should be buying bitcoin and major altcoins in large quantities instead of selling.

The above and many more are catalyst that should be driving the entire market up, but here, the reverse is the case, instead of the market pumping hard, it rather is dumping, bitcoin is currently between $62k and $63k from its initial $66k it was earlier today, eth also dumping, what exactly is going on?

In trading, some one defined Liquidation as a forceful transfer of wealth from traders that need levarage to wealthy spot buyers.

And this means that, if you are spot buyer, you've positioned yourself well for the huge run that is coming, as long as you don't fumble your bag, I still believe that the coming bull run will be one of the biggest in the entire history of crypto, those who sell now will completely miss out, while those who seize opportunities as this to add to their bag will make double or triple of what they were supposed to make.

And of course this is not a financial advice, we are all free to do with out bags as we please.
But if actually you are not selling but buying, then let's talk, I did love to know what you are buying, (if you don't mind sharing of course 😁).

I saw this news earlier today, and needless say that it's indeed a great news, shows that Bitcoin, as well as the entire crypto currency ecosystem is gradually getting the attention it deserved, and mainstream adoption is very much looking like a possibility in the shortest period of time.

I am not surprised that Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency market is dropping heavily several hours after this news, I believe this is exactly the same thing that happened when bitcoin spot ETF was approved by the US securities and exchange commission before aftar several weeks, the market began to pump really hard, and we saw bitcoin record a new all time even while we are still looking forward to the halving, going by that, I would say that the current drop in the market is a very good buying opportunity, it's time to bag as much bitcoins as possible, and as well as Altcoins with good potentials.

3. Now we are full.
Thank you so much boss,
First, for the never failing on time payments.
And secondly, for bringing that discussion to the knowledge of all Unijoin signature ad campaign participants, I believe we all will read that and act accordingly.

Announcements [ANN] / Re: DONT BUY THIS $DUMB COIN
« on: April 14, 2024, 11:00:43 PM »
This is honestly the worst marketing tactics I've ever seen on the internet as a whole, and not just this, but this is also the worst meme coin idea, and this only proves one thing, those who go about creating all this shitcoins have actually run out new meme coin ideas, or should I say that the owner of this project is actually super dumb him or her self that he or she can't even come up with a good appealing meme coin idea.

Anyways, @op, I would say that you save yourself the stress and time you spend advising us not to buy this shitcoin, for I believe that any body in their right senses won't even dare put a dime of their hard earned money into such a wack project as this.

This is very embarrassing to say the least, if I was the owner of this project, I did be very ashamed of myself honestly.

Feel free to join and try your luck to win a nice Unijoin card  8)
[FREE RAFFLE] - Custom UniJoin Card, (#13)
---
Good luck!

We still have some available spots, don't hesitate to join the raffle :)
I actually came here to ask about this, I was hoping that by now, the result and or winner for this round should have been announced, but visiting the raffle thread, I discover there are still quite a number of open spots which are yet to get filled, this shows that participation in the raffle contest seem to have slowed down a bit.

Anyways, I am hoping and believing that open spots get filled soon, and a winner announced, so we can move ahead to the next round.

;D There is a total of 20 custom UniJoin cards released by Icarus, and icopress will correct me if I am wrong, but I think only cards #1 to #19 are offered to the community. The current raffle is #13 so not a lot available, as the serie is limited.
I agree, these cards are a nice way to share the project inside the community! We're lucky to have UniJoin and Icarus offering us such cool prizes!
Who is Icarus?
I dont know if he made design for this Unijoin cards, but I like it.
That is a lot of cards available for raffles and I like them and you should also make digital card project, Unijon NFT cards would be great for collection and it could be valuable.

Sorry to say but NFTs are shit, I won't spend a dime of my hard earned money on NFTs anymore, I made that mistake in 2020, spend over 9 ethereum buying NFTs, and till this day even as a type this comment, those NFTs are still there in my wallet with absolutely no means for selling them to get my money back.

The question is, if unijoin come up with those NFTs, what are the NFTs going to be used for?, what are the holders of the NFTs going to benefit or get as a reward for holding the UniJoin NFT?
NFTs without any form of utility are completely useless.

Forum related / Re: Karma can no longer be converted into Tokens
« on: April 14, 2024, 10:20:58 PM »
a switch back might be possible , still working on some issues.
but might allow karma to ALTT again
I know that many things will change in the forum. I don't know that changing Positive Karma to token has stopped though I was not thinking of changing mine. Changing point to token might also change because of the increase in population in the forum. And there was a time I wanted to convert my points to token but I don't know how it works so I just left it. Mostly how to get the wallet address that I will use to receive the token. I don't know where to get the app.
What are you saying man? Does it mean you don't have an Altcoin wallet? Like  an ethereum wallet where erc20 tokens can be stored as well?

Though ALTT is token built on the BSC blockchain, that is Binance smart chain, Binance smart chain is EVM compatible, and that means, you can store even BSC tokens on any non custodial ethereum wallet like Trust wallet for example, we have alot of them actually, but trust wallet seems to be the one that is the most popular, though it's not best if you ask, simply because they are non open source.

If you wish to convert your points to ALTT, simply down trust wallet and create a BSc wallet, come back to this forum and locate the points to ALTT conversion thread, apply there for the conversion and wait to receive your tokens, Its a very simple process.

Forum related / Re: Is it possible to check ?
« on: April 14, 2024, 10:07:28 PM »
I don't know if I repeating the question if ask before here.
I just wanna know that is it possible to do check the user avatar and signature wearing log?
It can be any tools or anything added up on the forum what can show user's signature logs? I can be plus point for the campaign managers to monitoring his campaign.
Well, this a completely new idea, as I personally have never come across or heard of any of such tools, even in the other forums that I am a user of.

I agree though, and I also think it will be a very helpful tool for campaign managers, as it will help them to monitor a user and see or when the user changed his or her signature, such a tool can be used to catch signature campaign cheaters easily, those who participate in two different campaigns at the same time and switch signatures at the end of each campaign quota so as to quality for payment.

If it's possible, I believe this is a tool any user can build for the community, personally, I don't have any experience with coding, I would have loved to devote myself to making sure such tool is built and made available for the forums to use.

Forum related / Re: -Remove Account-
« on: April 14, 2024, 09:54:52 PM »
It seems like it's time for me to rest more peacefully from altcoinstalks. Currently there are lots of newbie members who keep coming and reporting various high ranks, I don't understand how this is happening now, why not before.
I have discussed with my family at home and various online friends, that if I experience problems in one job, such as in the real world or digital (like as altcoinstalks), please look for another job because fortune doesn't come from just one job.

My family agreed to Remove the altcoinstalks account so that it wouldn't continue to cause the existing chaos. This will make us calmer in living our daily lives and of course altcoinstalks forum will also be more peaceful and peaceful always.
But after I tried logging in, I couldn't find the "Remove account" button anymore, does anyone know where the delete account button is now?
I am just coming across this thread for the first time today, and I don't know how far this discussion have gone, but what I have to say is, if this is about the red dot you got on your account, then I want you to calm down and possibly try to find out what really happened, the admin and mods of this forum aren't foolish that a newbie should report an account to them, and they move ahead to tag such account with a red dot without checking if the user deserve it or not, if you got it, then rest assured that the admin must have done a proper investigation on your account and post history, and arrived at the conclusion that you deserve it.
Deleting your account is not the best option, but I did advice that you try to find out if there is a way this can be appealed.

And again, if all this while, you've believed and seen your stay and participation in activities on this forum as a job, then what a wrong mindset you've had, not saying it's a bad thing, but honestly, I think it's wrong to depend on the little money made from forums like this as a means of livelihood, really wrong, and I hope you are able to get over  the red dot thingie, and change this mindset completely.

What are your thoughts on this?
Alot of lessons to learn from this incident, imagine he had rushed to kill himself, and Binance later returned this money?
I will wait for an update on this case. I cannot guess the reason why all of this user's assets disappeared and then returned. $1M is a huge amount of money, it is equal to the fortune that many people cannot earn in their lifetime.

I suspect that this may be a mistake in Binance's algorithm related to Margin during a time of great volatility in the market. I hope Binance will also have a response to explain this mistake, it would be better if the user received back all of the crypto assets he deserves.
Well, maybe you might need to read the whole thread again, and this time, a bit slower so you under better, the trader's assets did not just disappear, he opened a 3x long on pepe coin on Binance margin market, the trader unfortunately had no stop loss on, and the drop in the market yesterday caused the user's open trade to get liquidated, this was how his asset disappeared, it didn't just disappear, but he lost his trade, luckily, Binance have a mechanism that ensures that only 83 percent of users funds gets liquidated when times like this, so this why he later got 17 percent of the lost funds back.

You shared a good story, it gave good lessons and knowledge. It gives us the lesson that we should not seek suicide or something dumb instead we should realize the mistake that we made, I know how hard it would be if I lost my 1-year savings, and I know how much I rely on them. He must have been gone through a lot. But it's a good thing that he got his 17% back. As according to the CryptoBlade Binance is usually set a liquidation ratio of 83%. I don't know if it's true as I did not find anything useful on the Internet. Let me know if that's true.

Overall if it's true then it really gave the victim a good start but I hope he will avoid future trading, I am not a fan of future trading for the very same reason. As $1 million could make him good money in a spot or investing. But yeah to make more money in less time people do future trading. But Still, I suggest not doing it in such a volatile time when the market is so unpredictable.

+1

You are absolutely correct, Binance is said to have a mechanism that ensures that only 83% percent a user's funds gets liquidiated in times of like this when a user loses a trade completely without a stop loss, so this is why the user received back 17% of the total amount he lost, this is definitely small when compared to how much was lost, but it's still way better than nothing at all, and also, it's a good foundation for the user to start over with.

As much I am trying to convince myself that Bitcoin likely will be the first to double the $100 investment to $200, I still strongly think that Litecoin has a way better chance of doing that first, this is because, for both bitcoin and Litecoin to double a $100 investment to $200, they both respectively have to double their current market cap from here, bitcoin is currently around $1.27 trillion in market cap, while Litecoin is currently around $5.85 billion in market cap, in a bull run, it will  take less time for Litecoin to achieve $12 billion dollars market cap than it will take bitcoin to reach $3 trillion dollars in market cap.

So, sincerely, I think Litecoin will double the $100 investment to $200 way earlier before bitcoin does the same to a $100 investment as well.
But then and again, the market is still full of surprises, it still might happen the other way round, but for this, I strongly believe that Litecoin will do it first before bitcoin.

Going through my X account some hours ago, I came across a tweet by a user with the Monika - crypto Nerb, according to him, he 3x longed pepe with over $1.1 million dollars, apparently, I suppost this was before the entire crypto market went down yesterday, he woke up this morning to find his Binance futures balance looking exactly as the screenshot below..

He then started this thread on X concerning the situation, click the screenshot below to see original post on X, as well as the other posts from the user, and the comments as well

Yes, he was actually going to commit suicide, but according to him, he said what his single mother will go through kept him for some time until a miracle happened...
Binance returned around $180,000 out of the over $1.1 million dollars lost, once again, click the shot for the full tweet on X..

Thank God for atleast now, he has something to hold on to, and continue the crypto journey with..

What are your thoughts on this?
Alot of lessons to learn from this incident, imagine he had rushed to kill himself, and Binance later returned this money? 🤦🤦🤦🤦
SUICIDE HAS NEVER BEEN, AND WILL NEVER BE THE SOLUTION TO ANY PROBLEM IN LIFE, NEVER EVER SEE SUICIDE AS AN OPTION, NO MATTER THE SITUATION.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: High fees is a never ending story?
« on: April 13, 2024, 04:30:45 PM »
As we all know Bitcoin network is facing high fee due to congestion since the last years especially from ordinals but it came back to normal then again hike and it keep on loop mode?

So this is something that we have to accept as new normal or we can still hope that Bitcoin fee will reach 1sat/vb to include our TX in the upcoming block?
I honestly have lost hope in believing that one day, we will return back to the era when we were charged 1 satoshi per vbyte, and our transaction gets confirmed in less than 2 to 3 minutes, oh gosh, how I miss those days..

And looking at the way things currently are, and doing with the bitcoin network, I am afraid to say that, we gave to unfortunately, accept the high transaction fees as a new norm, in fact, it is even more painful knowing that this fees might keep rising year after year as Bitcoin gains more and more adoption..
And if nothing is done to either proffer alternative, like lightning network adoption and so on, transacting in bitcoin may turn out to become something that is reserved for the whales in the industry, that is the money bags, those who can afford to pay the high fees without stress.

All the same, I am hoping that for the sake of the common man, for the sake of why bitcoin was introduced, that developers will work hard to make the bitcoin lightening network an attractive alternative for investors to choose and utilize.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Fear or greed
« on: April 13, 2024, 04:16:40 PM »
Fear or greed can ruin a crypto trading experience because there is no how we can be able to condole for the two or either of them without being affected, fear will make us to sell when we don't need to sell and when we go with such decision, we are already on loss, greed will make us hunt after quick time profits in doing what is not right or safe for the benefit of our investment because of the risk involved, but we will still end up going for such, because we want to earn fast but loose instead.
We must be able to manage these two bad emotions because it is not easy to invest in crypto, we will always be faced with fear and greed. but back to the initial plan and target when we bought the coin, if we have reached the target, we should sell it immediately
Well, you are right, I think the aspect of setting a target is what many crypto investors often neglect, probably because they assume it's not important, investing in a coin and not having a definite or a defined and a realistic target have brought so many loses that weren't supposed to be, this is after they have possibly been in profit on a the coin, they end up losing again because due to their lack of a set target, they  fail to sell and take out their capital and profit at the time they should.

Not saying this out of context but I have actually been a victim of this, the truth is, for everyone in crypto, trying to sell at the higheest price, there is a 0.00000001 percent that you will sell at the toppest top price, like at the all time high or a coin, it's almost impossible, this is why setting a target for ourselves in every coin we invest in is very crucial, and not just setting a target, but a realistic target, once that target is reached, we sell, withdraw our money and look for another project to repeat the same process.

Meme Coins / Re: Memecoins with funny names.
« on: April 13, 2024, 12:21:33 AM »
There are some crypto names one would hear and just burst into laughter. I have seen a lot of them but there is one I came across today while searching for trending tokens on Coingecko called MUMU. You need to know what this means in my country: it literally means a complete idiot.

But to my surprise, this token has been performing well and listed on some top exchanges.  Based on Solana ecosystem, the project seems to be gaining more relevance as the mcap and trading volume has surged exponentially in the last 2 weeks. For me personally, the name discouraged me from buying it even though it has obvious potential to be the next BONK looking at the community support and the social sentiment surrounding it on various social media space but am curious and want to know if you will buy a crypto whose name have a negative fundamental to your believe?
Who cares about negative fundamentals when it's money we are here to make? I actually have come across this meme coin on dexscreener while I was searching for some meme coins with good potentials to invest in, I saw it and actually took or picked interest in it, but unfortunately, looking at it's market cap, I felt I was already late to that party, so, I completely ignore it and went in search for another.

The thing is, meme coin will such names usually may seem so unserious, some may discard it calling it a garbage (which actually it really is), but you did be surprised that meme coins like this are the ones that sometimes end up taking the meme coin spotlight.

When it comes to memecoins, the funnier and relatable the name of the coin is, the better because, That can drive investors to want to invest in such a coin, because it has a name or title the society can easily relate to
