The former chairman of Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Chris Giancarlo, wrote an op-ed for the International Financial Law Review, claiming that XRP is not a security but an alternative currency.

XRP Did Not Qualifies Howey Test
The op-ed written by Giancarlo along with Conard Bahlke, a lawyer at international firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher, explained that instead of considering XRP is a security, people should start looking it as a currency or a medium of exchange. The price of ETH against the USD obtained powerful bids close to the support at $122 before it began a modest move to the upside. The price obtained bullish momentum over the hurdle at $130 to lay the foundation for additional upsides.
Further, it broke over the hurdle at $135 and closed over the 100 hourly SMA. It eventually surged towards $138 prior to the beginning of a downside retracement.
A look at the downside on the hourly chart of ETH against the USD revealed several support levels close to $132 and $130. A crucial observation is the formation of a major bullish trend line with support close to $131. In addition, $130 is a powerful support and the 100 hourly SMA.
Hence, it could begin another decline if it closes under the support at $130. A look at the upside reveals a first hurdle close to a zone between $137 and $138.
The price may keep accelerating higher if it breaks above the $138. The immediate key hurdle is close to $144 and a move over it could lead to an upsurge towards the hurdle zone at $150.

The market dump on Wednesday that saw billions of dollars wiped off the crypto market came with one important revelation. While most investors were crying about their lost investment, some took their time and noticed the silver lining on the dark cloud. As Bitcoin plunged to bottom at around $6,400, some crypto watchers noticed that Bakkt trading volume of Bitcoin futures surged. In fact, it reached an all-time high $43 million. This is a clear indication that institutional investors are interested in Bitcoin when it's cheap.

It might also explain Thursday morning's bounce. On the early hours of Thursday, Bitcoin bounced back up rallying by 10%. This has seen the asset climb back above $7,000 and set a resistance just above $7,300. Altcoins have also enjoyed the gains as most rallied by around 5% to 10% on Thursday.

As we reported, Bakkt launched a few months ago. The event was highly anticipated and tipped to be a massive catalyst for a market surge. Popular Bitcoin artist Bnoiit.c just created a virtual museum based on the Ethereum blockchain. The museum dubbed ‘Cryptovoxels’ will ensure that censored artworks remain immutably stored for online viewers. Among the collections is a Bitcoin mural by French street artist Pascal Boyart, which French Authorities had painted over earlier this year.
Revolutionary stirrings

Nonetheless, Cryptovoxels documents the storyline of the subversive mural-; which is a modern-day reworking of classical revolutionary painting by Eugene Delacroix, “La Liberté Guidant le Peuple” (Loosely translated to Liberty Guiding the People).

Pascal created the mural to honor the 10th anniversary of Bitcoin Genesis Block. Which lately recast rebels that had risen against King Charles X back in 1830 as contemporary modern “Gilets Jaunes/Yellow Vest protestors.

Initially conceived as a street art treasure hunt, the mural contains a puzzle worth a 0.284 BTC bounty-; whose solution you could work out by being physically on the front of the mural. Well, note that the artist made the painting only a month after its creation. Meanwhile, blockchain artists have tokenized the mural as a digital collectible- and divided into a collection of non-fungible Ethereum tokens - a hundred of them.
