Why the special relation between BTC and LTC ?

I feel like there is a kind of a special relation that exist between LTC and BTC, why that ?

because the Litecoin code is the same as Bitcoin (only with some modifications).

The only real difference between BTC and LTC is the coin cap  21 mil BTC/ 84 mil LTC

It is dependent a bit on btc .. so if btc falls you'll see ltc decreases but not entirely dependent on btc, fiat is being used to buy ltc beside btc. It's more like demand = price.
