Should bounty managers accept ALTS KYC?
« on: December 17, 2020, 12:31:26 AM »
Halving 2.0 just took place on our forum: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=184079.0

It is time for another halving, however this time wanted to have it in a way that benefit the bounty community.

So I think the majority of forum members will have a need to do KYC in order to receive more ALTS, especially when ALTS has been listed on exchanges:
https://etherdelta.com/#ALTS-ETH
https://forkdelta.app/#!/trade/ALTS-ETH
https://token.store/trade/ALTS

And ALTS is really worth: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=183743.0

I would like to suggest one more way to use the ALTS forum's KYC. This allows bounty hunter that has completed KYC to bypass the requirement for KYC of the bounty campaign.

Currently, some bounty campaigns on the forums may require the hunter to do KYC if the bounty manager suspects the hunter. I think the hunter could completely suggest that the bounty manager ignore this request if he had done KYC with the ALTS forum. Of course, before that ALTS forum needs to reach an agreement with that bounty manager.

In case the completion of the KYC is required by the project to verify the users on their platfrom/in their ecosystem, it is possible that ALTS forum's KYC will not help.

What do you think about this idea? Is it possible for now?

That's right, if KYC has been done in the forum, it will be easier for BM to accept participants who take part in the bounty that require KYC. But what you said before that if the project requires KYC participants on websites or platforms, this will not help at all.

I agree if those who already have the KYC badge do not need to do KYC repeatedly, of course if the negotiation is between BM and forum agree with this Policy

KYC will help not only for bounty, but also for suspective account.  The last ALTS halving has showed a difference and importance of KYC verified. From now, a lot of members will request for verification. It will help the forum to remove multiple id farming.

I agree if those who already have the KYC badge do not need to do KYC repeatedly, of course if the negotiation is between BM and forum agree with this Policy

I support this proposal. I hope bounty managers will think about it but we have to realize that only acceptance of BM can't avoid kyc for bounty other than Team want to kyc from participants.

I'm planning to take the kyc process to get verified in the forum. Actually, I have fear to do kyc, but I think it's about time to break that mentality. Nothing to worried about because kyc in this forum isn't bad rather a good way to communicate and let the admin know who are we.

It is very very possible that in the near future there will have bounties required kyc verified status, not verified automatically rejected.

I'm not so sure of that, it seems like given the halving and the new incentive for KYC (to keep the 100:1 ratio) that others will be more interested in moderation and ambassador roles, or at least that's my hope. I still don't plan to do verification in hurry to be honest, especially if not going to get less points for it yet  :P

It's more likely bounties would be able utilize the forum's KYC verification process though, at a cost of ALTS I'd hope. This is one benefit I imagine of having more verified users more than anything else. For those who wish to participate in these types of bounties that is.
