I have been using few of my hot wallets via Electrum on both Android and Windows for over 6 years without any compromise to the security of my assets.

On windows, I don't install any apps at all I just kept clean and apps only from the official stores working fine.

But with Android I took some deep dives like Installed many apps still with no problems as long as I give attention to permissions those apps were asking while installation.

With my post I did not want to say that other platforms are bad, nor did I want to enter into the eternal debate that Windows is weak in terms of security, Apple is expensive and Linux is the panacea of the universe. I just wanted to express my personal experience and opinion. Each user must choose the platform most appropriate to their experience and needs.

While it is true that Android is based on the Linux kernel (the rest are software layers adapted to smartphones and tablets among other devices), it is true that it has always had a lower level of security than the average platform. This is why I would never use it or recommend it for using certain types of software.

Some people wouldn't have been found in the situation they were if they had know the best ways to safe and keep their wallet within their own control than using a custodial means to store their asset, we have seen series of event that led to the ways of how people have lost their crypto asset either due to scam or using a custodial means of storage like the exchanges, that is why we need exposure of various kinds of wallet and know the best ones for use.

https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet?step=5

It's complete here, you can choose a wallet that suits what you need, each wallet even has unique features, so each person's tastes may result in different choices.

For the bitcoin wallet itself, I can recommend a non-custodial wallet, provided that you have to start learning to secure your assets so that there are no cases of loss of the seed phrase or private key which could potentially wipe out the entire balance you have as well.

Electrum, blueWallet are the two wallets I use most often at the moment. And Bitcoin Core is the wallet that I am studying.

I am newcomer and very interested about bitcoin. I need a wallet before I am purchase some bitcoin. What is the best and most secure bitcoin wallet?

Your suggestion is very important to me
Welcome to the altcointalk forum. If you have a lot of interest and desire to know about Bitcoin then surely you can know and learn. Of course it is best to choose a wallet before investing in Bitcoin. If the right wallet is not chosen then the investment will be risky. A nice and secure wallet is Electrum Wallet. Electrum wallet is very safe and security is complete for storing bitcoins. But based on usage wallet is safe and security is complete if you leave your wallet password carelessly then your wallet will not be safe.

What you are saying is called knowledge. Information, knowledge and resources are public, anyone can access them and learn how to improve the security of their wallets without having great technical knowledge. The problem, as I've said several times, is that people don't want to learn, people don't want to "waste time" learning how to backup their private keys when they can do it somewhere else by pressing a simple button, and this is just one example, there are many more, and there will be more as many new investors believe they have it all thanks to exchanges and centralized wallets.

Unfortunately this is not going to change, as the percentage of people willing to “waste their time” is very small compared to the constant bombardment of exchanges and centralized services that are available. When we talk about our funds, convenience shouldn't play a big role; In fact, it should be the last thing we should think about.

And Bitcoin Core is the wallet that I am studying.
Bitcoin core is recommended, but it is resource-intensive as the user has to download the entire blockchain and keep updating it, newbies may struggle to use bitcoin core. It is a full node wallet and it gives the user a better privacy, though you can use Electrum and run an Electrum personal server.

You're right.
Nothing can guarantee the safety of your asset in the world of crypto more than self custody. Trusting the safety of your assets to third parties such as exchanges has its own potential risks as it cannot guarantee the safety of your funds.
We've heard of numerous cases of exchanges being hacked or crashing resulting to the loss of millions worth of crypto assets.

People should be educated more about how to ensure the safety of their crypto assets to avoid losing them because of ignorance and negligence. There are several types of wallets that can ensure the safety of one's funds, such as the hardware wallet, which is so far one of the safest wallets to store your crypto assets, although they also have risks and security features associated which these wallets so people should always be informed and aware.
