I just checked on Coinmarketcap about BNB and it turns out that BNB is in the high ranking which has a lot of funds in circulation.
BNB is also owned by the well-known exchange, namely Binance, and this BNB token is often used for launchpad and launchpool on Binance exchange.

It seems there are no plans to change any network on BSC, They are still developing BNB and more and more new projects are being created from the Binance Smart Chain network, BNB and BSC are one very big platform so I think there are no updates about the new chain.
