Hey, thank you for sharing this article here, I was online on telegram when the notication for this article came in, I quickly opened it, and from Twitter, I got the link to the UniJoin medium account to this article, I was actually feeling sleepy then but I still managed to read a great part of it, and I must honestly say that this is one of the best articles I've read so far from Unijoin, the article is not only highly educative, but also an eye opener, I had always been an advocate of bitcoin adoption in all levels, both in government and society, but after reading this article, I am beginning to reconsider my stand on adoption, really, I think the con of bitcoin's widespread adoption is way higher than what we, the bitcoiners stand to benefit.

Adoption is different from regulation, though i know that a lot of people share the sentiment that stricter regulation will usher more adoption for BTC, especially amongst institutional investors. We have seen in recent times how the u.s. government continues to attack crypto services and privacy solutions, and i believe if so many governments of the world become more 'powerful' over BTC, through regulations, then there is now some level of control over the network.

In order to reduce this control over the network, people have to use BTC in the right way, through p2p exchanges, self custodial wallets and privacy solutions like Unijoin, if you lose your privacy or store coins in centralized exchanges, then it is easier for the government to exert control over your coins.

When you said people should used p2p exchanges, I think being specific on the type of p2p exchange is more important than just recommending p2p exchange, for personally, I see difference in centralized p2p exchanges and a normal centralized exchange, and currently, what I believe 99 percent of crypto users currently make use of is centralized p2p exchanges, which can still be controlled by the government if and when regulation become tighter or stricter, know that it's impossible to use the p2p market on a centralized exchange..

So, right now, I think we need completely decentralized p2p platforms to take over the current heavily used centralized p2p exchanges, this, together with a non custodial wallet, and a privacy services like Unijoin will be perfect for every crypto user that truly values privacy.

It seems to me that whoever wrote the article either lives in the USA or at least is originally from there, or from an Anglo-Saxon country, because he or she finds the $10,000 US limit a bit outrageous. In Spain the limit for paying with cash is €1,000 ($1088.05), the same as in other European countries, and we are praying that the legislation that the EU wants to implement for crypto will leave a minimum exemption of €1,000 as well, as I would not be surprised if they want absolutely everything to be declared. I don't say this as a criticism but because if someone thinks in the USA that it is wrong and says this:

The simplest solution is avoid the United States.

Better not to come to the EU.

In any case, the legislative drift underway in both the EU and the US is worrying, and especially what is said at the end of the article:

For example, S1421 establishes a new precedent, and it is not clear where it will lead. Anyone accused of tax fraud can also be accused of money laundering, even if there is nothing illegal involved.

Reading it made me pessimistic and I think that today we enjoy a few spaces of privacy that are going to get smaller and smaller.

There is a total of 20 custom UniJoin cards released by Icarus, and icopress will correct me if I am wrong, but I think only cards #1 to #19 are offered to the community. The current raffle is #13 so not a lot available, as the serie is limited.

I initially didn’t know much about them - but after I won unijoin’s raffle I went to do a little research on them so that I’d know what it is that I won 

But here’s their thread^[1] in Bitcointalk - it talks about the team behind “Icarus”.

I dont know if he made design for this Unijoin cards, but I like it.

They have other nice looking cards - but I prefer that of unijoin. (probably because I won one, lol).

I actually came here to ask about this, I was hoping that by now, the result and or winner for this round should have been announced, but visiting the raffle thread, I discover there are still quite a number of open spots which are yet to get filled, this shows that participation in the raffle contest seem to have slowed down a bit.

Sorry to say but NFTs are shit, I won't spend a dime of my hard earned money on NFTs anymore, I made that mistake in 2020, spend over 9 ethereum buying NFTs, and till this day even as a type this comment, those NFTs are still there in my wallet with absolutely no means for selling them to get my money back.

The question is, if unijoin come up with those NFTs, what are the NFTs going to be used for?, what are the holders of the NFTs going to benefit or get as a reward for holding the UniJoin NFT?
NFTs without any form of utility are completely useless.

Like you, I am also against NFT, at least what they currently represent and the whole hype (which I hope is coming to an end) around them. However, one of the few justified uses of NFTs could be collectibles by a service/company.
Someone will want to have a card that paid2 distributes through the raffle here, but for that, it is still necessary to provide personal information at some point. It is much simpler through NFT.
No one can say whether it will have any value someday, but it could be interesting for collectors.

I don't like NFTs as well. But if there is any chance to mint an NFT for free with just a gas fee, I am okay with that. I have participated in some airdrops where the projects offer some NFT and their users can mint it for free. I am holding a couple of them and I will wait and see if they are worth anything during the bull run.

But I will not spend my money to buy them of course. A lot of people share their opinions, and most of them feel scammed after buying those NFTs. Those NFTs do not have any use case. You cannot pay with it. You cannot sell it anywhere. Some random shitcoins are better than those NFTs. But if I get one for free, I will take them.

@icopress, am I supposed to post my feedback in this thread after using Unijoin? I was about to mix some BTC, but then I noticed that the fee is too high for now. I will try again later.

If the fees are too high now, wait for them to come down, although I see that from yesterday, which was crazy, to today they have come down.

Are you using Tor? Have you tried moving the transfer delay bar?
