Why i prefer Altcoinstalks more than Bitcointalk

Well that's is your choice, as well as mine I prefer ALTT also,

BCT just became more toxic, members are pointing out each other's mistakes for their own interest of getting merits, being unreasonable critics for beginners / newbies, A lot of straw people are there. Sometimes I felt out placed being there because they have such a high standards to meet for each of other, which I can't take.
Tho, in BCT there is more informations to be absorbed yet, I still choose ALTT because I prefer newbie friendly than critics lol.

Not to mention the politics behind those so called DT members. It's like watching to Good & Evil force on Star Wars saga LOL
As for ALTT, I'm a bit concerned as to how easy it is to rank up on this forum, wouldn't this be a terrible idea in the long run?
Look what happened to BCT, It was overwhelmed with newbies gunning to earn a few pennies and because of that, the merit system was implemented.

For me, forums should create a friendly environment, and then be informative. Altcoins Talks has these two features well enough. If you want you can look at this thread too.

After last updates, rising in rank is harder than before at Altcoins Talks forum. Probably there will be some more rules for ranking up in the future.

Yes, these are decent reasons to prefer Altcoinstalks. But Bitcointalk has it's advantages too, mostly size/community. I think it depends largely what you are after. If you want a more niche community and personable then Altcointalks will do it. Same thing if you want a niche community for gambling I'd suggest MintDice.com. But if you want a larger more structured community then you have to do BitcoinTalk. Due to BitcoinTalk's shear size, they have to have weird implementations like Merit/Trust so that people can be held accountable more easily so that people aren't scammed. Honestly, I think there is a good reason to use both depending on what you want.

Same here,  altcoinstalks  is self explanatory and the rules and its has forum and stages for all categories, rather than bitcointalk tells you things like don't put your account on automatic login or you will be restricted and at the end of the day without any reason you will be restricted and the ask to pay a fine.

I hate the merit system on bitcointalk, it makes ranking up almost impossible that is why I spend most of my time here.

Yes. Merit system makes newcomers hard to improve their ranks. I also don't like the system that just good for old members only.

The whole world of cryptocurrencies is much broader represented here than in Bitcointalk.
Forum sections here are much more analytical and better articulated.

For example, here there are sections for each one of the most meaningful cryptocurrencies (including Btc), while BT is almost a Bitcoin-only cryptoforum, with all non-Btc cryptos being relegated into 1 single section.

For me, the best feature of this forum ist this: ALTT is the ONLY crypto forum that I know with a section dedicated specifically to Stablecoins.
Ok, the section description ("The "Stable" coins, are backed by exact amount of USD") is not 100% correct  as it considers neither Stablecoins backed by other fiat currencies nor algorithmic, cryptocurrency backed or commodity backed Stablecoins ... but still, if you look at how the Stablecoins market is expanding, this decision by the forum management at that time was clearly forward-thinking.

It's really good here, we can rank up for being active, it's almost impossible to rank up on btt, merits is really hard to get.

I think because Bitcointalks is built a long time ago, they intend to save the old users more then attract the new ones. Many limitation and the way they manage is not friendly. Sometimes, my post was deleted, and when I sent the email to ask about the reason, they always didn't reply me.

So, I have been really happy since I found out this forum. Altcointalks is friendly and easy to use for newbie. Honestly, I feel being respected here

This forum is colorfull, attractive than bitcointalk but I don't understand what do you mean about "real people"?
