A few days ago I sold my ALT and only focused on Bitcoin..to be honest I do see some altcoins may experience a crazier rise than Bitcoin, but I am more confident in Bitcoin for now even though I might regret selling some of my altcoins days ago and bought Bitcoin again.

I'm not an investor who wants to be complicated, so I only invest in a few coins that are easy to monitor, so Bitcoin is probably my minimum limit to enjoy the bullrun moment when the BItcoin halving occurs.

Friday evening so:

What are you holding now when the bitcoin halving is coming in a few hours?

In this order
- a mouse
- a beer
- pretty soon some popcorn to deal with everything that will be thrown on the net about it, fomo, hype, fear, fake news, memes, and last
- my pillow since after all the drama I will sleep like an angel since nothing major will happen

All this is blown out of proportion right now.

Well, I've been buying altcoins heavily since the beginning of this year, though not every Altcoin though, I have a selected few Altcoins I believe will do extremely well in the coming months if the bull run hit as hard as we all expect.

So, let me just say that I have the most part of my crypto portfolio in Altcoins at the moment, but then, bitcoin is a must holds for every crypto believer, so I hold some amount of bitcoin, but not very much, maybe bitcoin makes 20 to 30 percent of my crypto portfolio.
I prefer to hold more alts because I believe alts will do more Xs than bitcoin will do in the coming months, but again, lets cross our fingers and see, it's about 12 hours left to the halving.

Bitcoin only. Well and I think I have like $40 worth of Eth or so but I don't even count it. I'll leave it in case at some point I have to pay a gas fee to get some altcoin. But I'm pretty much a maximalist. I'm sure bitcoin in a couple of cycles is still going to be the number 1 cryptocurrency. The altcoins that are fashionable now may be gone by then.

Instead of focusing on just Bitcoin it is important to hold some altcoins too because if Bitcoin increases in its worth after halving then altcoins will also show growth so it will sound good for you if you take advantage of both.

There are some altcoins that have the ability to increase in price more as Bitcoin moves positively so if someone has not held any altcoins yet so they can buy now because price is not much higher as that will be after halving when altcoins season occurs.

I think one should continue his investment in both Bitcoin and altcoins with a specific selling target and sell one by one after achieving the target.

I can still see Bitcoin or whales rather ar trying to push the price and yet I haven't see any fundamental news around why they keep pushing. It's good if the retain the price atleast the bears wouldn't  be able to do much damage the normal price but I think we will not seenqny effect of bull run now untill later some months.

As for now, I have some Bitcoin and little alts, I don't trust alts much like I do with with Bitcoin, though the profit might not be as big as altcoins but there is this safety and peace of mind I get holding Bitcoin for as long as I could.

I've been DCA BTC in 2023 and switched to DCAing BTC + ALTS in 2024, so I'm currently holding both BTC and ALTS. This might not seem like a smart move since we're still in Bitseason rather than Altseason, and my ALTS investment is currently at a temporary loss, but I still believe they won't let me down during the bullrun.

BTC has been rallying quite strongly without any clear correction yet. A recent pullback is necessary, and we're in a multi-month reaccumulation phase before the BTC price continues its upward trend and leads the entire market into a bullrun. I think the BTC price will continue to move sideways after the halving instead of a strong upward movement immediately as scarcity increases. The halving event usually takes time to have a positive impact on BTC and the market.

After the recent dump few days ago i bought SOL and other memecoins for short term, and of course bitcoin is always in the first list since then. They are steadily increasing now, looks like dump (again) wont happen again anytime soon.

I hold some altcoin but have been before halving time, not get enough fund to hold more assets although has chance and great opportunity after Israel attack make bitcoin drop few percent.
Many altcoin worth to hold on this morning but not support with fund and just watching until bitcoin and some altcoin get up back to higher price.
Seems the halving have over and bitcoin wish could stable price, but expected with bitcoin can return to higher price after halving time and make new ATH raise up more than $80k.

Why people are really that minding too much about on what they should hold on Bitcoin halving event? Yes, its understandable that there would really be some sort of hype and interest
but it isnt really that much that for someone needs to act strange on which we know that in halving event then it would neither be the price will be having some significant movement
or not or moving sideways or dropping. Doesnt matter whether you do hold up Bitcoin or altcoin then it would really be that on someones choice or investment plans and decisions.
Doesnt matter on which one, the improtant thing is that you do hold up something.

It's really 4 hours away, now. wow.
Finally, the moment that has been eagerly awaited for several years will soon be here. Yes, this is one of the highly anticipated moments and a big moment for Bitcoin and everything related to it. Even though it may not be as smooth as we hope, at least this moment will bring quite big changes in the future. not immediately now or after the halving, but there will definitely be opportunities for the next few months.

And what to prepare for, of course, is to remain calm down for everything related to the market crash. Trying to collect fiat to increase the accumulation of certain coins, especially Bitcoin. However, this is not easy because you are not a big investor haha

So, of course, Bitcoin comes first. And besides, maybe I'm thinking of some coins like Matic. ADA, and also SOL if possible. It's just that it's not much. For altcoins themselves, it's just to add, so not from the start. And there are still several altcoins that are currently still on hold, such as ETH and BNB of course.

I am holding bitcoin as much as I possibly can, and yes it does feel like its not that great at times but the reality is that we are talking about a situation that is very very sensitive, because we are not at a high price right now, we had a drop. So that made a lot of people fear holding, I am still holding bitcoin, not selling and not plan on selling, I have very limited amount anyway, and even if I sell it right now, it would not pay any of my debts, just today we had to pay (not me alone) 7 thousand dollars for cancer therapy (to oncology for chemo) for my mother in law, so what I have won't even cover half of that, but I will keep holding just in case, whatever profit I make, I am fine with it.

I am predicting that the price will rise after the halving. Analysts are even saying it will breach the 100k mark soonr than later. I'm hoping it marks a new ATH this year and altcoins follow the same upward trend , something that has always happened historically. So, right now I have BTC and other promising altcoins in a cryto fund where a proprietary bot rebalances my portfolio based on market performance and sentiment for maximum reward and minimal risk.

If we should be found holding then that should be about the talk of the town which is bitcoin, we should hold bitcoin having the understanding that it will appreciate any moment from now, and when you're holding, you will never miss out from any opportunity this may renders to all of its investors, and that is if we are not forgetting about the bull season we are into already.

I am holding both(bitcoin and altcoins) in anticipation of the bull run that both will do marvelously well in price since I aim to be part of those who will gain financial freedom in crypto through bitcoin and altcoins investment.

I have set my timing and target of when to take profits from altcoins and bitcoin, I am looking forward to that, maybe by next year or thereabouts I will sell off.

I don't have the courage to stay only in alts, BTC is my accumulation focus for the long term

I also allocate more investment in bitcoin compared to altcoins. And yes because I believe in the future of Bitcoin which can still have a further increase than now. And the bitcoin halving has happened and now the price still looks quite sideways. And some people are now complaining about expensive BTC fees due to the hype in the Bitcoin ecosystem such as Ordinal or BRC20 or something like that. There aren't that many altcoins that I hold either. But yeah I also believe altcoins will have a higher upside from current levels.

I have no guts to act the same mate because i believe that diversification is still the perfect strategy to act in this volatile market and so to be ready in case some of my altcoins grow together with bitcoin.
but Yeah one of my altcoins have converted to bitcoin recently readying to the market halving season.

The simple rule says that if the market stabilizes and increases the possibility of a high price of bitcoin, it is better to buy more bitcoin, as the altcoin season begins after Bitcoin climbs.

As for the present time, there was a higher possibility of correction after halving, so the probability of the price stabilizes or decreases is contained, although Halving Chart Are Broken, in short, bought bitcoin at the present time regardless of the recent rises in Altcoins.

I have planning to change my investment habit more focus with bitcoin than altcoin, comparison with my altcoin holding have been three years can't reach new higher price and difference with bitcoin without two or one year success back to higher price again, but today seems bitcoin really reach most higher price and I am still waiting with bitcoin moment got down again.
Usually, altcoin has chance get most higher and taking faster moment but many altcoins get difficult recovery or back to ath price after dropping more longer time.

This year's halving is different than Bitcoin's past halving's. In other years before the halving, Bitcoin price never increased, especially when the price went up, it never exceeded ath but this year, before the halving, bitcoin exceeded its previous ath level. Moreover, the spot Bitcoin ETF has launched which will increase the investment volume this year compared to other years in the market. And the most common thing is that the number of crypto users is slowly increasing. As the price of bitcoin rises and altcoins will also be skyrocketed. I prefer both bitcoin and altcoins.

Well holding both is what I would also choose. It's just that we have to use it well and not be too greedy in holding altcoins. Because altcoins are different from bitcoin and bitcoin is still much safer to hold in the long term. But altcoins may only be suitable for the short and medium term.

Crypto adoption continues to increase. Even institutional level investors also continue to increase rapidly. once a spot bitcoin ETF is approved. And if a spot ETH ETF is also approved then we should also be prepared for an altcoin party.

In fact, yes, BTC experienced losses, although not big, but at least seeing BTC turning green again at the weekend, which is the opposite of the previous year, the market increased at the start of the week.

Regardless of whether the Halving is near or not, I myself hold Bitcoin and also several altcoins. Maybe the difference is in what altcoins we hold. So far, I have mostly been into top coins which are in the top 10. But I don't have all the coins.

After that, there were indeed a few coins that were in the top 100 at least, but some of them were the result of launchpads in certain exchanges. So, you still have to be alert with various altcoins from the new project. And I do it in a very small percentage.

The halving has happened, and as a lot of us already knew, the price is not going to rise immediately, it will take sometime before we see the effect of the halving. Just the same way BTC didn't rise immediately after spot etf's were approved in the U.S, it took sometime. What has actually gone up right now is tx fees, and this is worrying for the network and for adoption and it is also a huge barrier on BTC being used as a currency.

Everyone watches halving on the basis that it is an event that will have an impact in the long term, but each time its impact is less, so whoever wants to invest in it should think that not every time you will get a free doubling of your investments after halving, or in other words, its impact will end within about 20 years. Therefore, you should consider transferring to some altcoins, the value of which may increase once the effect of bitcoin halving stops.

This impact of halving that we're talking about may be less as the multiplier of its price might not be the same as it was in the past, where we see more than an x100 of its price from the previous ATH. However, it's still an achievement and yes, I agree that we should not think that it is an investment tool where we can see doubling our money immediately after the halving. If we want to keep our profit, withdraw it, if we want more and we are confident with the other coin we are about to invest in, we can invest in altcoins.

A little bitcoin and also altcoins. But at the same time, respecting risk management. I try not to overestimate risks and keep assets for the long term. Halving has happened and the commissions on the bitcoin network are absolutely not happy.  ;D

P.S. If you are concerned about commissions - everything passes, a few weeks and we will see 2-5 dollars for 1 transaction. Do not rush to make hasty actions.  ::)

This is the one that I thought about most too today and the past few days. Namely, I am waiting for a reduction in fees on the Bitcoin network. Hype in the bitcoin ecosystem is still happening, especially around ordinal or brc20 or something like that. And pushing for very unreasonable fee increases. And I hope that fees can soon return to normal or cheap.

In recent days, BTC has looked sideways and continues to circle at prices that are not much different. but this may be normal. Because everything takes time before finally getting the increase we expect.

I am personally hodling Altcoins right now because there is a higher chance that Altcoin season will be coming in the few months now so if ever my speculation is right and made profit on my holdings then that should be converted to Bitcoin maybe half from all my profit because I am going to reinvest the other half if given a chance. Altcoins is better right now due to the fact that Bitcoins transaction fee is quite high.

Expect to see as much profit as possible after the halving it will only happen if we are able to keep holding.
We also don't know when it will happen, but when the halving has happened then the miner commission fee has also been halved and Bitcoin is getting harder to mine and eventually Bitcoin will be scarcer.

Adjust the price target to be reached for the held bitcoin and if you really want to hold altcoins in my opinion take a part of the main asset and enter the top altcoins such as ETH, BNB, SOL etc.

bright mind in investing mate because you seems to be ready to what will happen any time soon .

and I believe you are holding good altcoins here because you seems to be confident on thos altcoins that you are holding now so keep it up mate.

I don't think that is a good idea, maybe because i do not trust altcoins and so i do not recommend them to others. Altcoins are risky investments and i don't see any reason why one should convert some of their BTC's to altcoins, it is possible to completely lose your money when you buy some altcoins, due to their failure, but that is not possible with BTC, except you are hacked.

Exactly, Altcoins do have a very high risk to buy, therefore we must be able to choose altcoins well. Only a few altcoins currently still have a chance to be held and will provide profits in the future. Bitcoin remains the best because it has higher interest than altcoins.

Agree, bitcoin will always be a top priority to buy because it is a safe coin. The risk of altcoins is greater, but if you choose the top 10 coins, I think they are also very potential to hold while we wait for next year's bull season. This is just a prediction and opinion which may also be wrong

I also read many opinions on this forum, bitcoin is a priority coin to hold. they also buy ethereum, BNB and Solana. so I think this coin is a potential coin to hold. Ethereum is the second coin that many people prioritize, next to bitcoin.

Yes, there's no need to rush, the increase will definitely come for Bitcoin and Altcoins,  everything needs a process, there's no need to play guessing because the increase will definitely come but not soon.
