It ever happened at past year. But ethereum has bounced back again to number second. Ethereum is more popular and has bigger community. Ripple is struggling now.I believe ripple will recover again but I doubt it will beat Ethereum. Ethereum is still more potential.

currently that is impossible because the price of ripple is constantly going down and it's market capitalization is too low the ethereum market capitalization  this year ethereum team will be released ethereum upgrade version so ethereum has started to pump already it almost touched $500 however still ethereum is more strong than ripple so ripple need more power and time to beat ethereum .

I think that is too difficult but ripple need more power and take more time to beat ethereum because this year ethereum based defi projects performance is better so many ethereum based defi projects market capitalization and trade volume is too high so ethereum is automatically going forward many users attracted by ethereum defi projects so in future ethereum price will rise again.
