Is increasing the text-size on my Browser suppose to cause this?

Hi all,
Coming online this evening, I decided to use my Samsung browser to visit the forum, while here, text appeared too little and to see words properly, I have to zoom the page and scroll left, right, up and down to read, this wasnt really comfortable, so I decide to increase the text size from the Browser's setting, I increase it to 200 which Is the highest for mobile devices, and the below screenshot is how the forum turned out..



Text size on this forum became even worser than it was before I did the increase.
Out of curiosity, to want to find out if this was the fault of my browser or the forum, I tried the same on bitcointalk with same browser, and the the screenshot below is how btt turned out after text size incased to 200..



Neat and completely balanced on my mobile screen.

And for reference, I also did the same test on my mobile chrome browser, and exactly what happened on my Samsung browser happened for both forums, and the shots shared were taken from chrome actually.

So, I am bring this to the notice of the forum's administration, hopefully, you guys can find a way to fix this to make the forum more mobile friendly.

Same here I use a Samsung browser to access altcoin talks after using the text size to 200% there is an extra space on the right side.
It seems this is a CSS issue for the mobile version that I think needs to add CSS code that can adapt to various screen sizes.
For me, this won't be a problem I usually use my PC to access this forum but for those who are using a phone, this might be not very pleasant when increasing the text size.

I haven't used this forum or Bitcointalk on my smartphone but I think if you increase the font size of your Android device then things will look better. It can be done easily done via settings, just go and open the settings and on it search for font.

Font will pop and after selecting it you can increase size of fonts to higher. You may also try to go to Chrome settings and then Accessibility and make text scaling 200% and then tick mark the Simplified view for web pages.

I have tested those settings a few minutes ago after reading your post and it seems to work for you. Give it a try I hope it will work for you as well.

For me, this won't be a problem I usually use my PC to access this forum but for those who are using a phone, this might be not very pleasant when increasing the text size.

Yeah, that is actually the point, for pc users, it's no problem at all, I mean, I too some times use my pc to access the forum, but due to the fact that it's always causing me back pain when I stay with my face and neck down for too long, I try to minimize the use of pc and limit my use of it only when I have something really important to do that I can not do on my mobile phone, or when I am creating a post that requires a lot of images and other bbcode elements and attributes. Outside of this, I use my mobile phone for almost 90 percent of all my online activities.

So, the issue of tiny texts when accessing this forum is something I've personally been managing, but I decided to increase the text for more comfortability and then discovered this, and like you said, it could be an issue with the Css not being adaptive when browser text size is increased, sounds like something the admin can easily fix but let's see.

I will try this and see, but still, if btt will look OK after increasing text size, this forum should too, so, it's still something the admin needs to fix

You may also try to go to Chrome settings and then Accessibility and make text scaling 200% and then tick mark the Simplified view for web pages.

I have done all of this that you said here, it doesn't work for me, did you actually try this on your mobile phone? Because it doesn't look like you did tried it on mobile .

That's exactly same view with mine and I think maybe their is an extension setting in the browser that most users actually turn on without noticing it and that's the desktop view option. And I believe I also experience the kind of space when I accidentally turned that option on . But I maybe wrong and this could as a result of maybe the website build up but so far mine is perfectly okay as the image you posted here.

I just tried it on one of my devices, the browser version is 24.0.3.4 (It seems to be the last update) and everything is completely normal. The site is displayed in full screen, it is responsive. Of course without any special settings, font enlargement or similar.

It's a bit complicated for me to send a screenshot from this device as proof because I don't have anything else installed on it, it's just for testing. But if such confirmation is needed, I can do my best.

I expect that the problem is mainly related to the fact that most of the codes written in old forums assume that they are displayed primarily on computer browsers, so the pages appear incorrectly when displayed on small screens such as a mobile screen.

To solve this problem, the site must be responsive to all different screen sizes so that the site is displayed without problems on small screens such as mobile phones and large screens such as computer screens. This is done through the media queries feature in the CSS language.

I'm currently using brave browser in mobile, i also checked using firefox, firefox dev, chrome, edge, and it works normal. I assume this is only for samsung browsers just like what the other member experienced.

About the css media queries, you will really need to hard code it to make it work, this is an smf based forum which is already made.

Edit: i installed Samsung browser and it looks normal, i bet this is depends on  the version. Can you tell what version you are using? I used the v23.0.11 newly downloaded from playstore.

Here's how it looks when I zoom in to 200%. It is still fit to screen. On the right side, I have just a little more space, but the scroll button appears there, and it seems to me that it belongs there. It is certainly negligible and not as pronounced as with you.

I don't know why it looks fine to you but for me, even on other browsers it shows a big extra space on the right side look at the screenshot below



Maybe it is due to the screen resolution my current phone screen resolution is 1480x720 I can able to increase the screen resolution to 2220x1080 but it still the same.

I don't know if most of you don't read the op. This is well self explanatory thread and yet you are commenting out of points. Op said he used Samsung and and not itel, not Nokia and not Tecno but Samsung. And the admin as answered the Op that it is bug. But the problem was not only discovered by the Op but another user also attested for it. Which means it is real.
