General Discussion / Re: Is the matrix movie possible?
« on: June 01, 2024, 09:08:40 PM »
Original Matrix is one of the best movies I ever watched, but they ruined everything with every sequel movie, that was done just to make more money.
I wouldn't say that matrix that was described in movie is a real thing, but this world is not what people think it is, and what they are telling us since we were kids.
I know that if news and some big government agency is telling us about something, real truth must be a total opposite from that.

Crypto Wallets / Re: Samourai Wallet seized
« on: May 31, 2024, 09:15:17 PM »
The first hearing case against Samourai Wallet developers Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill was finished few days ago.
Only one of developers Rodriguez was present in the court, and other one is still in Portugal and didn't respond to extradition request from the US government.
They are planning to file a motion based on letter from two US Senators, and Rodriguez will remain under house arrest until next hearing on September 4.

Crypto Wallets / Re: Rabby Wallet Discussion thread
« on: May 31, 2024, 09:00:24 PM »
I have searched if there are any threads here about Rabby Wallet and it seems there are none. I was using a metamask for my daily use. But for me, the meta mask works too slowly. Recently, I found out about Rabby wallet which works exactly like a meta mask but faster, and it has some extra features as well.
Rabby is much better wallet for ethereum and all other evm chains than metamask.
I like that you can install Rabby on desktop (not possible with metamask), use it as browser extension or download app for mobile devices.
Another advantage for Rabby I found is better support for different hardware wallets.

Forum related / Re: How are lost account recovered here
« on: May 31, 2024, 08:31:50 PM »
I saw this reply by the admin on staking addresses. Has this been implemented yet?  If so can I be redirected to the thread.  Thank You.
This is not something that is created by admin, this is just a member initiative.
In bitcointalk forum users are staking bitcoin addresses as a way to prove ownership of signed address and associated forum account.
This is used for last few years in bitcointalk but admins here need to approve it and set some basic rules.

Forgetting passwords and its recovery is much easier here compared to bitcointalk, it's like how normal websites works — Forget password. But forgetting your email is a different story, how could you forgot such thing. If that's the case it is really hard to recover even in other websites too.
Even if you remember email address there is always a chance of provider shutting down their service or having long term downtime.
We should have some alternative option for changing email address if we lost access to it.

Forum related / Re: ✅ Stake your Bitcoin address
« on: May 31, 2024, 08:21:23 PM »
Maybe an alternative method here would be allowing users to also sign messages with ethereum, as this an altcoin forum.
Is someone actually using signing and verifying messages on other blockchains?
I never heard about that and I never saw this was possible in all altcoin wallets I used.
I suppose this would be possible with bitcoin forks like Litecoin, BCH and others, but I am not sure about ethereum.

New tool from BestChange - AML analyzer
Are you using some partnering service for this AML analyzer reports or you are generating them by yourself?
There are other services offering similar reports for free so I don't know what would be advantage for someone to use BestChange analyzer.
Biggest problem is that there is no guarantee you or any other service is giving for this risk ratings, and other exchange can have totally different ratings.

However, many people use USDT on TRON, and many services accept payments in USDT on TRON.
That is correct, but I can easily swap between chains and send with Aqua wallet I can pay directly from L-USDT to Tron USDT address.

Well, all crypto is kind of complicated for the average user, which is why average users mostly use PayPal. I think if some people pay with USDT on TRON, they have already figured out at least something about crypto, so they can probably figure out how to buy energy too. But if you or anyone have any ideas on how to make the purchase process simpler and more understandable, we would be happy to hear any suggestions.
There is no energy, bandwith and other stuff on other blockchain, that is making everything more complicated on tron blockchain.
I can't easily know how much I need to pay for transaction on tron, like I can find on bitcoin, ethereum and other chains.
Maybe there is some tool for that but I don't know about it.

Also, the profit wildly depends on the mixer demand. For instance, the past few days there is low demand so you get the money back after 48 hours or more. Whereas when there is a higher demand you could get it back in 1 or 2 hours. In any case that's why it says up to 34% per month.
So you had to create Jambler account on their website to access this calculator?
0.00697 BTC profit doesn't sound very good when you consider all the risks, but there is probably bigger bonus percentage for higher amounts invested.
It would be interesting to see reports from Jambler team about previous investment amounts.

Stable Coins Forum / PYUSD by PayPal
« on: May 30, 2024, 09:32:23 PM »
Some time ago PayPal created their own version of stablecoin PYUSD that has the value of $1 USD and it is backed by dollar deposits, US treasuries, and cash equivalents.
Until recently PYUSD was a token on ethereum blockchain, but now they added support for solana blockchain with confidentiality transfers, and that part was interesting to me.
Sender, receiver and government regulators will be able to see this transactions, but for everyone else they will be not be visible.
For the record, I don't trust solana at all, they had multiple downtime flaws, bugs and it is centralized blockchain.
You can read more about that on Solana blog post:

I got this on Telegram, it seems real. Although it is a scam, I had a lot of fun reading this conversation.
What part of this looks real?
To me all this is clearly fake after reading first two lines of his messages.
Even without reading, every message or image sent from unknown people in telegram should be considered a scam or suspicious, so it would be better to ignore everything.

Linux is better with pretty much every computer except for the ones that have shiny new firmware for which there are no open-source Linux drivers for it, yet.
There can be some issues with brand new laptops and drivers for new components, but this usually gets reported and updated quickly for major linux distros.
On the other side you can expect to have constant bugs and problems on wind0ws, you need to pay to use it and they will 100% spy everything you do.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Trump Supporting Bitcoin, Crypto
« on: May 30, 2024, 08:13:44 PM »
Do you really think that the crypto situation will become better under Trump?
No I don't think so.
I see no difference between political parties, they can say and do whatever if they receive enough money in their bank accounts.
Trump is saying this only to get few more percent of votes and to give false hope to people yet again.
I think CBDC end game is near, so that need more wars, division and circus shows before this :P

In comparison to Tron, USDT on Liquid does not look like a success at all.
Tron on Liquid looks much better to me with cheaper fees and confidential transactions, but Tether is Tether on all blockchains and networks.
Most of the volume on Tron chain is artificial and fake, and you can't really compare it with something that is build on bitcoin with only few available tokens.

USDT Forum / Re: USDT on Liquid Network
« on: May 30, 2024, 07:55:44 PM »
I was never a big fan of Changelly exchange but they recently added support for Liquid Network assets L-BTC and L-USDT, so they can be swapped with any other coins.
Be careful using any centralized exchanges that can ask for your kyc verification, but it is good to see more exchanges listing Liquid assets.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Roger Ver has been arrested
« on: May 30, 2024, 07:37:23 PM »
I just heard confirmed news update that Roger Ver was released on bail, this happened few days ago so it's possible that he accessed his own bitcointalk account.
I don't know how much money he had to pay for this temporary release, but it's probably a lot.

How is anybody supposed to stay sane in there? They should copy the Nordic countries' prison model (Sweden, Finland, Norway and so on).
Finland have the best conditions and their prison is more like a hotel with separate rooms.
I don't think Spanish prisons are like that but they are probably better than most prisons in United States.
