According to analysts, altcoins are on the verge of displacing bitcoin as the world's largest cryptocurrency by market valuation. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is edging closer to breaking through crucial support levels.
Kevin Svenson, a popular crypto expert, told his 101,000 Twitter followers that while Bitcoin and Ethereum have the disadvantage of retracing back, altcoins are poised to experience even greater corrections.

In the general sense, what can happen with Bitcoin will also be falling on altcoins. And we are witnessing the same story again and again. Now, that there is a big danger of Bitcoin of falling below the critical support level, altcoins should be prepared for many coming shocks. However, this is just another cycle in the cryptocurrency market. After the big dip, there is always that march upwards and with many of those who took advantage of the dip smiling to the bank.

The cryptocurrency market continues to develop relatively rapidly. This is more about altcoins than bitcoin. Therefore, it is quite possible that someday bitcoin will lose its position as the leader of the cryptocurrency. In many respects it will depend on how high it can rise even in its price. But in general, the cryptocurrency continues to confidently spread around the world and strengthens its position.

I don't agree, I think bitcoin is still string and superior until the next several years again, maybe more five years again.
Not easy to beat bitcoin.
Yeah, we know there are many potential altcoins but no popular as bitcoin that almost all people know bitcoin but didn't know crypto, especially altcoin.
thats the fact.

There is a significant contradiction between the title of this topic and its text. The title says that as bitcoin falls below critical support, altcoins are on the verge of collapse, which is logical in principle, and this has already been repeated several times after the strong falls in the cryptocurrency market. But the text says that “altcoins are on the verge of displacing bitcoin as the world’s largest cryptocurrency.” The question arises: are altcoins on the verge of collapse or feel so good that they are able to displace bitcoin from the position of the cryptocurrency leader? We can clearly see the answer in the CoinMarketCap table, where even the most promising altcoins have lost up to 30 percent or more of their price over the past week.

Now we are witnessing the whole crypto market crashing. Altcoins drop more than Bitcoin even though my portfolio is very down that I can't imagine I would see this level of drop in my portfolio now we have no choice but to hold. As you said in your post altcoin crashed finally now let's see what's next.

I'm not surprised by the current situation, If we look at the history of Bitcoin last year, before reaching ATH $65k USD BTC price was below $10k USD, Ethereum was trading below $100 USD, this phenomenon is always happening, all altcoins will not collapse, there will be some altcoins have survived, such as YFI which once reached ATH when the Bitcoin price was sideway. there are many possibilities that happen with BTC, new ATH creates a new support value for BTC, and when that support is reached then BTC will reach new ATH again when the Bitcoin Halving begins.

Many altcoins are experiencing a drop the likes of which they have not experienced in many years, some are even hitting new ATL, but that was something that had to happen sooner or later and it is also due to the large number of coins/tokens that flood the market on a daily basis. As we already know, many new coins and tokens appear every day whose only function is to make quick profits, bringing nothing to the cryptocurrency industry and investors. One day the time had to come when the market said enough of useless projects to focus on those that really innovate.

Regularly Altcoins are the very subject during crash or pump. Whatever happens to Bitcoin, Altcoins will follow whether we like it or not. For example: currently the market crashing due to the fact that Bitcoin hit below $23k. Most of altcoins were dead and some might be dead soon. Strong will survive, weaker will be gone cause of death is market dramatically dump.
-
Looks like the opposite is the case now. There is no bitcoin-altcoin decoupling anytime soon, unfortunately. Every coin or token is tied to the Alpha coin and it remains so til something drastic happens and un-couples it
-
This is not true. Altcoins will never replace bitcoin. the current market dominance of bitcoin is over 45% so where will altcoin generate funds to replace bitcoin. ethereum, the only solide altcoin is battling to stay in four digits might loose it second place. Bitcoin will remains the top token in crypto while others follows. there is no going back on it. there is no way we will see altcoin replace bitcoin but i will like to see stablecoins control the market and not bitcoin.

I would like everyone to remember that "experts" sooner or later delete Tweets (or posts on any social network) to leave no trace of their wrong predictions, unfortunately it is something that all experts do when time passes and they realize their mistakes. The market speaks for itself, that's why I don't think we have to give much importance to what someone says for the simple fact of having many followers. It is best to draw our own conclusions, that helps us understand things better.

We'd better not believe in anyone
The votality in this market
you could never predict it precisely
-
So how i see it the BTC market is co-related to all other coins. If btc crashes all the other coins crash
-
BTC will never lose its ground despite the fall and crash. Coming to the alt coins, the strong ones will remain and recover after a crash. If you are holding the right ones, then there is no need to worry.

Such a deep periodic price drop in the cryptocurrency market is actually very beneficial for altcoins. Now we already have over 20,000 different altcoins, a significant part of them are useless, and such a fall will allow us to clear the garbage in altcoins. A strong and useful cryptocurrency will survive, and the unnecessary will leave this market. This situation repeats itself from time to time and this is quite normal.

I quite agree with you. There are a lot of Altcoins in the market with the purpose of just scamming investors without any good product to offer even though we know some people even look for such with the aim of making quick money but as you rightly mentioned, this type of market dips help to show those weak projects as they can't survive long is the long bear market season.

I don't think that altcoins are on the verge of displacing Bitcoin in the foreseeable future as per marketcap. I think that your analyst may be getting wrong, and if there is such move, it may happen on the short term. You see, there are many analysts with deferent analysis, and so many are inexperienced with poor market forecast. I advise you to confirm your understanding with some other reputable analysts for a better predictions.

it's true that when bitcoin crashed altcoins felt a deep impact but it was only for a moment the market would recover and many people took advantage of the moment to take advantage

We all know bitcoin is the King of crypto currency and altcoins are just follower.
When bitcoin crashes, altcoins will crash
It's good time to buy and collect those

Such deep and long price drops in the cryptocurrency market are also beneficial as they allow the market to clear out various useless cryptocurrencies. Therefore, both falls and growth are almost equally useful for this market. Of course, we do not really want prices to freeze for a long time at low values. But there's nothing to be done here. This is a decentralized market. It does not have a regulatory body, and therefore much on it depends on a series of various accidents.
Bitcoin is one of the cryptocurrencies and anything can happen to it.
