Ask a Moderator / Re: Moving the topic to the wrong board ?
« on: Today at 12:38:10 AM »
I will wait for TomPluz's response. However, I think TomPluz has a reason to move this topic to the Ethereum board:

1. Tornado Cash is a crypto mixing service that operates on Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible networks. I don't think Tornado Cash supports BTC, except for WBTC on Ethereum.
2. The topic mentions the actions of Vitalik Buterin, the developer of Ethereum.

My mistake, thx MrSpasybo.
I wanted to go in a different direction, but it doesn't matter.
Closing discussion.

Telegram bot will be temporary unavailable due to server maintenance of my hosting (issue of one of the nodes of my instance), this will include the whole site pxzone.online, i don't know when it will be fixed though.  :-\

I miss this bot  :(

Oo..I see that is why I am not receiving any notification from 30th May evening. I hope it will gonna be fixed soon because we are going to used to it and became our life saver tools.
And I will suggest that if you can able to switch more better host that will be great for forum users.

I guess PX-Z will not mind
Here is another notification bot created by bitmover https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=315998
It can help until PX-Z fix his things

A little more than $100k is realistically very little money when it comes to a case like this in which lawyers will cost a lot - so I think that Mr. V could have "worked harder" considering how much wealth he has amassed in the past 10 years. It is true that he did not have to give anything, but I always look at donations in the context of how much money someone has - and they say that he became a billionaire a few years ago.

What would 100k bills do in a case this large? I saw this in the news and was fuming as well. I mean, this is something a day trader can pull out without breaking the bank I've always told people that billionaires are the most selfish individuals on the planet; they treasure every penny in their pocket. Mr. Etheruem just want to be in the spotlight, nothing else.

I think there is a possibility to appeal the verdict. The whole process is expensive, so any donation is certainly welcome.
Since before, there has been a site to support Alexa https://www.freealex.nl/
Whatever his intention, it sounds much more authoritative when Vitalik Buterin gives support than examplens or Igebotz from Altcoinstalks

Alexey Pertsev has been found guilty of various money laundering offences (36 illegal activities); what difference will the donation make now? And why is no one talking about the charges against Alexey Pertsev? Are we going to start donating money to criminal defence now to maintain privacy protocols?

Alexey Pertsev is the developer only. It's worrying if you don't see developers being treated like criminals.
Do you know that Roman Storm Tornado Cash Co-Founder has reportedly pleaded ‘not guilty’ to money laundering and other charges?
Do you see anything illogical in the whole thing?

Ask a Moderator / Moving the topic to the wrong board ?
« on: June 01, 2024, 12:09:54 PM »
So, initially, I opened a topic Vitalik Buterin Donates 30 ETH to Support Tornado Cash Devs in the Bitcoin discussion board.
TornadoCash is a bitcoin service, and everything related to this case is most directly related to the Bitcoin ecosystem, and only then indirectly to all other cryptocurrencies. Ethereum is even the least important in the whole case.

Now I see that moderator TomPluz has moved this discussion to the Ethereum board https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=321739.msg1565162#msg1565162

So, I have a few questions for other mods and TomPluz
- To all, Is the discussion about the Bitcoin service suitable for the Ethereum board only because it is a donation in ETH?

- To TomPluz, Are you even familiar with what this case is about? Based on your comment left in the thread, I would say that you are not.
- If not, why did you write a completely irrelevant comment there?
- Finally, if you can briefly explain how you concluded that it is about Ethereum things?

So I was correct, the only reason for using this token is promises with profits that will be achieved or incomprehensible words.

Pump and dump scheme. All meme tokens are created to bring profit, mostly for the creators. Especially these sub-meme tokens, which are trying to take a piece of the pie through their successful older brother.
Pepe brought a good profit to those who started it, now there are new ones like Pepepizzeria trying to cash in on some of Pepe's fame. It is certainly not and will not be the only one that will use a similar name. Everything seen earlier with Doge, Shiba etc...

What you say is a fact, without a doubt. But even if that happened, the user base would continue to grow and fortunately, not all users would be inactive. It is true that a decrease in activity has been noticed in recent weeks, but that is something that would happen whether or not there are signature campaigns, it is something that I have seen in previous years. I don't think we should think too much about the activity data, continuing to contribute to the forum is the best we can do.

I am quite surprised disappointed by the way the forum is treated by a large part of users, especially the original (non-teleported) ones. Many participate only and exclusively in filling out a signature quote while writing a meaningless wall of text that does not attract anyone's attention.
So, it is possible to discuss what this forum offers, while users fill the forum with non-sense answers or behave like bots by answering software-generated replies.  :(

Just seen your post in the chatbox, are you confused as to who orders your product? Companies are who you would need to market yourself to as most regular users don't really order sig designs.

Don't take that as a bad thing, I just want to make sure you understand who your customers are. Glad to see a designer offering cheap services here and good luck in the future.

He cannot learn and understand if he does not try.

I am sure that this donation coming from no less than Vitalik Buterin - one of the most famous crypto figures around - can go a long way towards helping for the defense of Alexey Pertsev so he can be given his fair share in court and hopefully can be able to escape the lawfare launched by the government against many personalities involved in cryptocurrency industry and technology in the name of violating the money laundering law. Now, Buterin for sure is acknowledging that this is going to be a very important case as this can surely redefine many things related to decentralization and has the big potential to limit innovations and growth of the industry. Aside from funds, I am hoping that the crypto industry can have one voice on this matter and there can be a hub to get involved with legal matters so the government can be checked and not allowed to abuses its state power over anyone in the crypto industry.

Oh, man.  ??? Did you use an AI text generator for this post?
Friendly advice, you should seriously think about the way you write and approach the forum in general. Pointless writing to meet the signature quota is one of the reasons why companies give up promotion through signature campaigns.
I assume, at some point, the manager will look at the quality of the posts, and you will very easily lose your slot because the competition for a place in the campaign is high.

20 days ago, Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev has been found guilty of laundering $1.2 billion. It's a bit crazy to punish a developer for developing the code.

Now Vitalik Buterin got involved with a donation (I guess he won't be accused either). I wonder if, by including more influential names, the pressure on all actors participating in the development of anonymization can be alleviated a little.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin donated 30 ETH, valued at around $113,000, to support the legal defense of Tornado Cash developers Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm through the decentralized fundraising platform Juicebox.

Maybe you can send a message by forwarding the question to their email address ([email protected]) if you still haven't received a response from the Mixero.io team on the Altcoinstalks forum.

I prefer to see the answer publicly on the forum, at least the mixer is officially present here. Especially if it is not particularly urgent. And it seems I was right, after all, I got a straight answer  ;)
thanks mixero for the info
Hello, our referral system is still in the test phase. We've been delayed in our development, which explains why it's not yet available.

Also, the profit wildly depends on the mixer demand. For instance, the past few days there is low demand so you get the money back after 48 hours or more. Whereas when there is a higher demand you could get it back in 1 or 2 hours. In any case that's why it says up to 34% per month.
So you had to create Jambler account on their website to access this calculator?
0.00697 BTC profit doesn't sound very good when you consider all the risks, but there is probably bigger bonus percentage for higher amounts invested.
It would be interesting to see reports from Jambler team about previous investment amounts.

The stock exchange fee of 0.003 BTC is quite high.
The last time I looked at it on Binance, the withdrawal fee was around 0.0003 BTC, and that already changed things to around the promised 1%. It may be a small amount, but it is a one-time investment and can be realized in 24 hours. At least that's what Jambler claims.

The application has been deleted! It says the application has been deleted.
I transferred the funds, the application was stuck, I provided receipts to the support chat.
Half an hour later the application was deleted.
What's happening?

Can you explain exactly what you mean when you say the application has been deleted? More information would be welcome.
Does this mean that you created an exchange order and that the order no longer exists after you sent the funds?

It's a shame that you didn't do a little research before you decided to exchange on this service, even in this thread some suspicious things mark barry24.com as risky.

Maybe an alternative method here would be allowing users to also sign messages with ethereum, as this an altcoin forum.

That would certainly be interesting to have as an option.
Maybe someone could make a thread with explanations about the purpose and how to sign/verify the message. I have a feeling that there are a lot of crypto beginners here who have never used this feature. To learn something new, why not?
