BitTorrent inventor, Bram Cohen, is leaving his company after it was recently acquired by crypto startup TRON earlier this month.
Bram Cohen co-founded the company in 2004, after inventing and launching his Torrent protocol three years earlier.
The company got officially acquired by TRON in July after the founder of TRON, Justin Sun, already mentioned the acquisition a few months earlier.
Cohen stated he has no involvement with Tron, and confirmed that he is no longer with BitTorrent Inc.
In his comments, Cohen clearly stated that he is no longer involved with BitTorrent confirming that he is currently working on another groundbreaking environmentally friendly cryptocurrency project called Chia.
However, Cohen still believes that Bitcoin can be done better, and more efficiently. His Twitter bio now reads, “Creator of BitTorrent. Now doing cryptocurrency stuff.”
