Points Only For Topics - For 1 week

For the next week, or maybe a bit more, i have changed the rules, to give only points when a new topic is created.
This is to see how it will affect the topic creation VS. replies creation.

Once old rules restored, it would be announced on this post.

Well I have not really gotten the initiative of this. And I will also like to know how many new topics a user will create to be qualified to receive this points in the week as stated? Op, you would have dropped the link of the old rules or thread for those who are not familiar with this to understand more. Thanks for hard working.

Okay. That is nice. Thank you for the clarification. But don't you think that will slow the growth of the users? Because everyone aim is to grow their accounts and also that will make inexperienced users to create unnecessary threads to gain points and that will cause spamming and serious one for that. But anything you can do t develop the forum, carry go.

As far as I know, Rank only depends on Activity, Karma and Time. Rank does not depend on Points, so members can still rank up normally without being affected by Point.

I think this test will have 2 impacts:
1. Reduce Point inflation >> reduce ALTT inflation in circulation. To be honest, I personally don't care too much about this, Point is not my biggest goal on AltcoinsTalks forum.

2. Encourage members to create new topics. New topics can make the forum more exciting.
Risk: many members may misunderstand that Rank-depends-on-Points and they may try to create new topics with poor quality.

Anyway, this is just a test and we will soon know the results after 1 week.

Basically I always agree with the admin's decision because the admin knows better what is happening on the altcoinstalks forum.
I also currently only have a few points, maybe around 37644 points and these points can be exchanged for ALTT tokens.
But until now I have never exchanged these points for ALTT Tokens.

Those who care about points will definitely look for these points seriously, but for me, these points don't need to be taken seriously.
It's simple for me, being present on the altcointalks forum and continuing to learn about cryptocurrency is also good for decorating my digital life because in real life I have a very complex job.

It's great to see that the admin has taken the initiative to increase the topics being created to have more useful information being shared with other forum members. However, I am concerned that some users might abuse this opportunity to create nonsensical topics and ask irrelevant questions. Hopefully, we won't have to deal with a lot of newly created topics this week that need to be reported, deleted, or locked.

I don't mind doing new threads or new polls or both. I am happy to know why I was frozen. I have a few threads I will start up soon.

I support this, this new rule really supports the stable distribution of ALT tokens, apart from that it is also useful for preventing members from making spam posts.

It looks like this test has ended and members are receiving points from comments like before. I thought that members would only be able to receive points after the ALTT distribution.

Creating new good quality topics is not an easy task for members, we have witnessed many low quality topics recently. Rewarding points for comments would be more appropriate to encourage members.

@philipma1957 refers to the points that users earn by creating threads or writing posts. A few weeks ago the administrator froze the points counter so that only the user who created threads earned points, but for days everything has continued as before, and now points are earned by creating threads or writing posts, as before. The points were only frozen for a few days.

Thanks for the information.
So there are only two ways to earn points.
[1.] Create topics.
[2.] Replies on the topics.

In other words, more activity means more points, that's what I am getting from the read of the above topic.
