The higher the ranking in Coinmarketcap, the better, if in my opinion.
Look at the EOS coins whose rank is around number 5 and WAVES is in the top 20 of Coinmarketcap.

From this number, EOS is better than WAVES.

By seeing the rank of coin market I see EOS is better than waves. But we must learn the potential and progress of them . I also see many people prefer invest in waves for long term investment. They said this coin is very potential and will have bright future.

Eos and waves both coins are potential altcoins in cryptomarket both has unique advantages although waves is going down in CMC but EOS is stay in top places actually EOS is a tough competitor of ethereum but compared both coins waves and Eos both coins are best for long term investments but EOS is powerful than waves.

EOS at rank 12. If we base the potential of the coin in ranking EOS is much better than Waves.

If you asked which better? I agree EOS is more better than waves by rank. But I also see many investors used waves for long term investment. So, in my analyzing waves is better for long term investment than EOS . I personally used EOS for short term investment.
