This is correct.
Both trezor and ledger hardware wallets support monero, but you need to use third party wallets for sending and receiving transactions.
I don't see anything bad with that, and Feather wallet is very similar like Electrum wallet for bitcoin.
I am not sure about OneKey hardware wallet, they support Monero and have it listed in OneKey app.

Ledger Nano S isn't best hardware wallet. However, it's weird that you use Ledger to store Monero, but use Trust wallet to store Solana, even though Solana supported by Ledger Live software.

I use trust wallet because it serves as  a multi-chain wallet that support different Blockchain e.g Solana. Just follow the instructions provided by the app, once you have a Solana wallet you can use it to store, send  and receive SOL. and remember to keep your seed phrase and don't share to anyone.

In first place, you don't store XMR or XMR's private key on Ledger Live (or similar software) though, as it's just a software which "bridge" between you and the hardware wallet.

Feather wallet works with Trezor and Legder hardware wallets.
You don't need someone else to confirm this for you, it's easy to find all the information on Feather website, and it takes only a few minutes to download it and install everything.

honestly I don't like exodus very much because it's not open source
but it was nice to have internal shapeshift to exchange coins, really very convenient
if I'm not mistaken you can also take away the seed phrase

I used Exodus in the past for some shitcoins, but as you said, it's closed-source, so I would avoid it. Indeed, you have access to your seed with Exodus.
If I had to use a mobile (android) wallet for XMR, I would probably use Monerujo or maybe Cake wallet. At least you could review the code on Github

People are using it mostly because integrated swap service, but this is just third party centralized exchanges that are known for freezing coins.
I don't recommend using Exodus wallet, there are several good alternatives for open source multicoin wallets with monero suport (Onekey, Stack wallet, Cake wallet).

ah thanks for mentioning these multiwallets
in the past I used coinomi but now the project seems abandoned and I didn't have or rather didn't know about other open source multicurrency wallets
