That's true, privacy is an issue in any centralized service. I don't remember whether it has been discussed on this topic or not, but I'm pretty sure some members seem to think that privacy is not a crucial issue for them. Maybe that's why some people happily suggest or claim that an exchange or closed-source wallet is a good option to store your crypto for the long term. I remember discussing it with other members but they don't seem convinced that privacy is a key factor in selecting which apps/services they use in the future.

A lot of people sell their privacy over cool features exchange give them and they always feel relax by those things, but the day even the exchange will report you or flag your account, you wouldn't expect it.

I saw a complaint on X platform, the guy was making complaints that his account was restricted and he couldn't move his funds and the reply he got was that he should visit a nearby police station, that was one of the strangest reply I have seen from an exchange. This are one of the issues of using a centralized exchanges.

There's no mistake, most of us will definitely say the same thing, namely that Manchester City will be able to defend their title this season. They have a great chance and in my opinion it will only be great luck if Arsenal can finally become champions.

Their opponents overall are not difficult opponents, and you are right that their victory against Tottenham was the key that ultimately placed them as the biggest favorites in the remaining matches.

Manchester City has come from a very far journey, if they are going to lose this league title, they would have done it a long time a go, they also could have done it when they met with Tottenham but they trashed Spurs like they are ever ready for any team that comes there way, there last match is going to be incredible and Haaland will make sure he finishes with some extra goal for his golden booth.

Arsenal has tried this season, it was them and Liverpool that was pushing so far but Liverpool gave up along the line and even without the trophy, Arteta was able to break winning matches in this season that Arsenal has never did before, next season will be better and stronger.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Why Ethereum is The Best?
« on: Today at 05:47:43 PM »
It's true, Ethereum is indeed one of the altcoins that offers security in its products. Currently, the price of Ethereum still has the potential to rise very high someday. So in my opinion we have to take advantage of the price movements in Ethereum to increase the assets we own.
ethereum is indeed safe to hold long term, but for now I will not buy ethereum anymore, I will focus more on buying other altcoins that can make profits faster than bitcoin and ethereum. I will but solana , BNB and ripple.

Buying a coin that grows faster than Bitcoin is not bad but it wouldn't be cool if you diversify your portfolio with other altcoins and then you skipped Ethereum that is the king of altcoins. You know when trend tend to enter into altcoins, it will first enter the Ethereum first before going to other ones and probably, it wouldn't be that big like the first one. Remember Meme coin last bull run, Shiba was the first time on ethereum before other tokes start to grow on other chains.

      -    Here in our country, the impact of crypto on our local community is strong. Is it because of the difficulty of life here? It's not much to earn money if you don't work hard; for sure, their family will starve.

and most of us here are also a lot of idiots and gullible; it's just like they do aiirdrops for seminars, something that, if I look at it, they're funny. then the others still charge like that, but I'm not sure.

I think there is difficulty everywhere but one thing crypto was able to do is that it has helped a lot of people that are looking for opportunities but don't have the means to do what they want to accomplish in life. Many people that you see around today that are having difficulty about life are not lazy, they just don't have means to show their efforts.

Orientation is what some of them lack, if you can be different from them because you were able to have access to a good forum, I'm sure they wouldn't behave that way if they have the same opportunity like you do here.

Forum related / Re: Why is this common here.
« on: May 15, 2024, 07:38:24 PM »
I have just a simple and straight question to know maybe it was said here that users should end their post with "your opinion will be appreciated" because I have seen many users end their post with that statement, when they can in fact ignore the urge to put that in as it is unnecessary as users will always share their opinion.

Even forum members who teleported their accounts from bitcointalk and did not write like that there, do so in this forum.

I'm not sure where I saw this quote but I have seen it from two member ranks and after I check most of their threads, they are spammers who just post random generic thread to either increase post counts and activity so the can rank faster, I don't know there true motive after that.

If there are other genuine posters that use it, I don't think its really bad since most of replies and discussion are just opinions, advice and suggestions to what OP has posted or reply to another person.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Just HODL
« on: May 15, 2024, 07:23:50 PM »
I maintain holdings in certain cryptocurrencies while simultaneously utilizing Bitget's smart portfolio feature to pair a portion of those holdings with Bitcoin. This allows me to accumulate more Bitcoin automatically if my altcoin holdings increase in value relative to Bitcoin.

Nice idea but accumulation shouldn't has happened on the exchange, do it on your own wallet, the one you can control and have power over. An exchange like Bitget is not even popular, if they disappeared today, you will have no where to run over to but keeping your coin on your personal wallet or in a hardware wallet will help you secure your Bitcoin.

You can use Electrum if you decide to keep only Bitcoin, this software wallet is the best and you can create one offline so your private keys don't get vulnerable to scammers.

The last game for the end of the season :)
I think most of us would agree that Manchester City will lift the premier league trophy this season unless a miracle happens, I mean West Ham will win this game.
Win against Tottenham was the key, and it was a great performance from City and Halaand, a great goal that not only sealed the three points but also put Erling Haaland in pole position to retain the premier league golden Boot.

If Son really had score that goal, it's not what we are talking here we will be talking right now, that was the first time Manchester City was making goal in goal in Tottenham since past many seasons but luckily they did it yesterday, one was goal and the other was penalty but before that penalty was awarded, if Sun has scored that goal, it will change the game and Manchester City wouldn't have had opportunity.

Arsenal faith is decided and I think they have to try again next time, though I think other clubs like Liverpool were once In Arsenal shoe but Guardiola is just destiny to break Premier League statistics.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is Bitcoin Too Expensive For Me?
« on: May 15, 2024, 06:15:42 PM »
If bitcoin is too expensive, then what are we to say about the other altcoins which are more expensive to invest in because of their higher risk on investment, sometimes we could not just afford to make investment n other coins than bitcoin because of the risk involved in them, while bitcoin has been made available for everyone to invest according to how they can afford to without having the fear of missing out.

I don't see any expensive how Bitcoin is, the fact that you can buy Bitcoin in fraction, there is no problem at all because you are covered by security, you are covered from any form of scams if you keep your coins on a good exchange and it you don't have to worry about any form of rug pull but I think his fear is because of the return on the investment. It's better to have a safe investment and have a moderate return than to have a return that is never guaranteed.

It's true, last year Elon Musk got a lot of lawsuits for tweeting too much about Dogecoin, but because he is a rich man he decided to buy the Twitter platform, that way he was finally free to tweet anything on his platform.

Ever since he took over the X platform, he now preaches for Freedom of press, smart guy. He stalk Facebook and other platforms for restricting freedom of press but he is one of person that mislead a lot of people for buying Doge and says good things about crypto. If not for been a reach person that he is and the government enjoy his taxes, I'm very sure that they will have invited him but SEC the monopoly organization has never invited him for once for any of those allegations, it's exchange and good projects they like to hunt.

Dortmund all the way, but I know Real Madrid are going to win it :)
Just one more good game for Madrid and they are winning the 15th UCL
I don't want to underestimate Dortmund but Madrid has players and coaches who are all top-class, so winning the UCL is something they deserve.
Jude Bellingham is a good player and I hope he scores goals in the final and will probably win the Balon d'Or.

You guys never wanted Real Madrid to make it this far from the beginning ;D but they manage to maneuver to the final, it's funny how PSG, Barcelona, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich fans has form a coalition to see Real Madrid lose but it's crystal clear that Real Madrid has bag this Champions League to their trophy to make it 15 trophy.

The way Anceloti is trying to fix Cortois in the final match, I'm not too cool with it but if they can be able to reach this far with just a single loss for the season, then I'm going to respect his decision for starting Courtois.

I have nothing to do with tokens, but if someone had told me that a phishing attack could be attempted in this way, I would probably have thought that it couldn't be true. However, scammers are obviously becoming more and more inventive in their intention to get hold of anything of value.

Scammers are just normal people like ever other people but they think ahead of everyone, anywhere there is money, they check critical ways where it's vulnerable and they take advantage of it. Sending of coins used to be a thing when new coins want to airdrop money to people for free task or even free but scammers found a way to turn it to wallet poisoning.

This attempt is mere tweaking of smart contract and the person must understand solidity before they can code something like that, a mere interaction with any coin they send for you, once you click the bait and swap, your tokens is gone.

So, anyone here ever thrown down in a trading competition? What was your experience like? Any wild wins or epic fails to share?

Trading competition is a waste of time and resources. If an exchange is well liquid and has users, I don't think trading competition is even needed in the first time because it's like force trading where users will be looking for volume rather than profit, this trading activities also bring manipulation of coins, so if you hold that particular coin for that time, you might need to patient even with the increasing volume.

There is this ridiculous trading competition I saw on Kucoin exchange, offering $10k amount for trading competition for 2 months and they will gift $3k for first 5 people and the rest will share small money, why would even a $1k holder be interested in such kind of trading, it's not profitable.

Honestly. I don't expect previous pattern. But I expect a bull market bigger than previous ones.
There are more coins these days, and with all these, Bitcoin still dominates more than half of the crypto market valuation.
To me,  I expect a bull run. And these time, I'm gonna pair some with some stable coins on Bitget smart portfolio to automatically take profit as it goes further up..

We all expect good things later but please don't leave your coins on the exchange, there is risk in doing that. You don't have to leave your coins on the exchange, you can keep them on your personal wallet and when you think your price target us been reach, you can simply sell your coins and you don't have to go to centralized exchange to even do that, you can simply sell your coin on any decentralized platforms where you don't need to keep your coins and you will be fine. Remember, only a consistent trader leave coins on the centralized exchanges.

Look, don't make me think about it
think I could have bought bitcoins at a time that cost $40 and I didn't
I was saving money for the wedding and I didn't feel like it
so I basically made two big mistakes, one after the other

I'm not sure if doing wedding is a wromg thing, you did it anyway and I'm sure you are happy you did it. By the way, you don't have to blame yourself about not buying crypto when it was cheaper, if everyone knew that a day this kind of price will come, I'm sure many of us would have more than a bitcoin in our wallet today.

Quote
Unfortunately, these are mistakes that we carry with us forever
you have to dare in life, if you don't take risks you will have nothing

I'm skeptical why you didn't buy even when Bitcoin was trading around a thousand dollar, missing $40 should be a motivation to buy even higher. However, even though such opportunities are gone, there is gong to be one or who that will come to the market that will be worth buying, I have seen how project like Injective protocol did some months ago.

If bitcoin will rise again in a season like this then it will be very difficult, Bulls and Bears will definitely fight for strength. Currently many people want to make the price of bitcoin collapse, so it's better if we just follow the price movements in the market that have been made by the whale.

Bitcoin price can't collapse without the bulls involved and right now, the institutional investors are the main reason why Bitcoin has not collapsed, if they pull out of the game today there is going to be a lot of loss and ETF investors will be disappointed on the hype and Blackrock and the rest reputation wouldn't be respected again.

The worst that can happen in this market is a little correction and we may have another run but even me, I'm not assuring anyone on that, this bull run looks more when you check it. It's better to be optimistic for anything that comes later.
