One of our local community member forgot his password as he recently changed his password and also he didn't remember email. Now what is the method to recover account?

In Bitcointalk we use btc wallet sign for recovery but this is altcointalk so I think Ethereum wallet sign will also work?

I believe the person should have confirmed registration through an email.
How was the email forgotten then.
I'm not really sure the only method I knew of requires email.
I'm used to forgetting my passwords since I barely use same passwords twice.

If your BTC address is widely used by you in unedited posts, I guess admin can take that into account as well. If this forum has a lot about altcoins it doesn't mean we have anything against Bitcoin in here. Bitcoin is very welcomed here as well. We just not overfocused on it.

I don't know what actually happened with his email but there is possibility that someone lost access to email or use temp email for registration. Actually we take this security step very lightly which causes this issues. Some people are lazy to save phrase and also some people does not care much about email password and recovery option.

For instance, ask him in official Telegram group of the forum https://t.me/AltcoinsForum. Or ask someone who you know for help.

You can create a new account to solve the problem as well, just don't forget to get a duplicate badge after that.

Yeah was a victim of this too
Used a non existing e-mail to create my Btt Account
It was possible since unlike here Btt don't require verification
I also did forgot my password
To cut story short
I usually save my logins
So just went to check my password via my browser
And changed the e-mail.

Password can be recovered if account is opened from mobile or laptop. You have to check the manage password from Google, then you will get the password.

In this forum a user can directly contact admin as the admin of the forum is quite nice and active. The user or someone on his behalf could tell admin some details about the account and if the account was teleported via Bitcointalk or any other forum then it would be much easier to recover that account. I believe that admin of the forum has access to all details of a user and thus if that person has lost his/her account details then he/she can send a PM to admin.

I don’t know if the ethereum wallet signing will work but I think it’s weird for people to forget their email address for account creation which is very unusual and one of the best thing to do is to contact the admin and if the account is still a very new account, then it wouldn’t be a bad idea to create a new one and just as @jokers has already stated, you shouldn’t forget adding a duplicate copy.

Well, don't be naive bud, that we use bitcoin signed messages to recover lost or hacked account on bitcointalk does not necessarily mean that as here is titled as altcoinstalks, that altcoin is used to recover lost account.

Better idea is just to pm the admin, he or she seems to be a very good person always ready to assist users with anything, if a friend lost his or her account here due to forgotten password or email address, the contact the forum admin on your friend behalf and give the details of the account and the owner, I believe the admin help restore the account back to the original owner.

Pls take note of this when  filling your information  try to used a very unique password that you can easily . remember.some time for  your to remember password you have to go back to login menu to click on forgotten password, there will be one two questions you will be asked if you were able to answer..if the question are answered correctly your can recover it but once you failed to do that reversed is case it will look suspicious.

If not teleported > and you forgot your email > might be a bit more difficult > i can give you hints of the email > can message user for reply > can ask you some questions > but it's not easy or fast.
