Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What tokens are trending?
« Last post by jeraldskie11 on Today at 03:32:55 PM »
Shouldn't we choose tokens that are not yet trending, and hold when the trending arrives? Logically, if the token is trending now, there is a big possibility that its bullish period will soon come to an end... and after that there will be a moment of correction or even bearishness. So investing in tokens that are already popular or trending will likely only increase investment risk, because it's too late to catch the moment.
You have a point, but I will choose with trending tokens than those trends are over. Most altcoins rely only on the movement of Bitcoin, therefore whatever the trend of Bitcoin is, altcoins will follow. Now, if you pick currencies that have already completed their bullish trend, it will be tough for him to break the previous high since there are so many sellers above; but, if you choose trending currencies, there is no obvious resistance to break. So trending coins have a higher potential reward than non-trending currencies.

OK, thank you very much for this heads up, since you tried and didn't experience the same thing, I am believing it's an issue from my end as you said, it also occurred to me right now to tried the same in my mobile chrome, I just did now and the verification was passed one time, so, I am assuming the issue is with my pc's chrome software..

That “verify that you’re a human” page does pop up once in a while (most especially when I’m using my laptop) but never have I experienced it being stuck as you mentioned, it usually moves to my desired page the moment I check the box and I also have some extensions installed (it might not same as yours though).

Most times when I’m having issues with a site I usually just clear cache as mentioned above and sometimes it works or uninstall the browser (in extreme cases) and reinstall it again to see if it changes anything and they have been working for me - I’m not sure if it will be the same for you.

Some sanctions and policies do not always stay the same for long, they can change while a government is still in power, or when they pass power on to a new government. I think that Binance will be back to Nigeria, and when they come back, how willing do you think Nigerians who are into cryptocurrency will be to return back to them for exchange services?
Binance is a big exchange, regardless say the failed to fight for their Nigerian customers, and the worst of them is CZ, CZ is a very good man to the global cryptocurrency market as a whole, but then, he has failed his Nigerian users multiple times, I guess the nigga is like me wey no dey like to chuk mouth to wetin I believe say e no concern me, but all the same, it's bad that he never made any supportive comments as regards to his Nigerian customers in times when people expected him to atleast say something, like for example, during the end Sars protest, even Elon musk showed support for the Nigerian youths, but CZ never made any comment regarding the matter, seems hes just after making money from Nigerians and that's all.

If Binance definitely returns back to nigeria, I believe some Nigerians will return back to the exchange to continue trading, while some will remain where they are currently, but for me, the only reason why I will possibly return back to Binance is if I get a better deal there, else, I will just remain where I am currently, which is okx and remitano.

Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your experience with gambling?
« Last post by LUCKMCFLY on Today at 03:30:22 PM »
My experience is on sport betting and I will also want you or people around here to have this corrections otherwise it will affect them entirely, this happened when a developed interest to start gambling when I began to read some gambling post over the other forum and I felt is a cool to get oneself involved in gambling. Although I never had or even have a bad experience but is a mistakes that needs to be corrected because we as a gambler we felt that our games or predictions are always correct without knowing that gambling is just a game of luck, any one can win or lose at any smallest chances.

So, when you booked and select games along the line if those games are running and you have just one game left to close the match, you can cashout because you don't know what would happened the next moment and the game plays against you and automatically you lose. If one can take the risk and cash out or possibly while placing bet you can s/he can have those games placed in two places and if the game keeps running and you are suspecting any fowl play against your game you may decide to cashout with the first one and then allow the second ticket to keep running.

Im personally not so betting player but it was interesting to learn something new for me. It’s seems smart to have strategies like cashing out early or spreading bets across multiple tickets. And its sounds like cautious optimism. Thanks for sharing these insights. Sure it can really help those new to the scene or maybe looking to refine their betting tactics.
There may be some people who doesn't believe in this strategies most times they sees it as impatient while gambling without knowing that it's another way to keep succeeding. Though if it works for me that doesn't mean it would for another person because they might be carried away by greed to think the game will entirely play according to how they predicted it.

Regarding the strategies of the game, it can vary because most of the time players do not believe in strategies because they say that in the game everything is based on luck, and maybe they are right, it is something that we see very clearly but basically when We seek the best in ourselves , it is necessary to know strategies, I do recommend strategies because they are a plus point for me, sometimes when I experienced playing without strategies because it didn't go very well, if I played the same everywhere I lost, but when I started to apply many strategies because it was not bad, it always made me change the panorama of my game and if I played in a very flat way then Things were not going well , at least in the results.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Phoenix Wallet to be removed from US app stores
« Last post by Husna QA on Today at 03:29:53 PM »
I see dkbit98 also created a similar thread discussing information about Phoenix Wallet planning to remove the app from the Android and iOS app stores here:
https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=320789.0

Looks like they're in a hurry, since there's only a week between the notice and removal. I don't use this wallet, but i certainly hope those who use Phoenix Wallet receive notification on device they use. I wonder if they protect themselves against this notice, https://www.ic3.gov/Media/Y2024/PSA240425 where they could get caught if FBI use loose/wide definition of Money Services Businesses (MSB).

So far, no notifications have appeared from the Phoenix wallet (iOS version) that I use. I don't know whether users from the US get this notification through the application or not.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Opt for the safest exchange?
« Last post by akeemqaz on Today at 03:26:47 PM »
For now,  I choose exchange with proof of reserves. Although, I use Bitget the most because apart from their huge proof of reserve, they have more features and I can more coins to trade there. So, the best way to be safe using and exchange is knowing they are proof of reserve.

Spam is usually more focused on some specific subforums. I'm not saying that we never find spam in the subforum moderated by @bitmover, but depending on the type of spam, like new memecoins, the spam is concentrated in the memecoin subforum, it's just an example. We can also find spam that is posted in many subforums, but this type of spam is always easier to eliminate, since you only have to go to the list of posts of that user. The more activity a subforum has, the more spam it receives.
There are different types of spam, first is the obvious one to everyone, and other one is more subtle and created by members who are using AI generated and semi-plagiarized posts.
When you first look at them they appear to be fine, but cheking whole post history can reveal what they are doing to write generate more posts, that is usually for signature campaign.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Fall of P2P platforms, what's your opinion?
« Last post by TomPluz on Today at 03:25:26 PM »
Do you still use p2p platforms or exchange's P2P?

I am not actually into heavy trading activity but whenever I am planning to convert my coins into cash I would prefer P2P because I find it very convenient, fast and actually safe because of the escrow service by the platform I am into. I got into P2P because of Binance but since it is not anymore allowed in my country, I just shifted to Bybit which is also good for me so far. as for safety and security, we have to be careful in choosing the P2P trader and make sure one is really into reading the details of the offer so there will be no surprise. In my own experience with P2P in CEX exchanges, I find no other good option that is more suited to my situation and area of origin. As for P2P in DEX, I got zero experience with this alternative though I heard of Localbitcoins (closed since 2023) before.

The emergence of exchange's P2P also increased the p2p scammers because they simply go with the reputation of exchanges which is irrelevant when we are doing P2P trades. Even the existing P2P platforms whether it's centralized like Paxful or decentralised like Bisq/Robosats, etc lacking liquidity for fish to crypto and vice versa.

Do you still use p2p platforms or exchange's P2P?
Yeah I am still using p2p platforms, because we can't buy and sell services and products directly with BTC or crypto in out country as its ban here, so we have to convert crypto into fiat via p2p and till now I have only used Binance p2p and I have faced not a single issue on it, I have never been scammed Alhamdulillah. I will say while making p2p trades we should be a little careful.

Like first choose the person who has made the most trades and has a high success rate, then completely read the policy of that seller or buyer before ordering, then contact them on chat after placing the order, and tell them to send the full payment, as many people use some kind of apps which deduct fee and those seller or buyer deduct the fee from your money, Don't pay the fee, ask them to not to use such apps as there are other baking apps that require no fee. I have faced this issue 2 times, but when I talked with them on message chat, they sent the remaining amount immediately. You have to be a little informative in order to avoid yourself from scams.

Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: Have some fun, make more money
« Last post by bitterguy28 on Today at 03:23:14 PM »
Even without betting, when our favorite team wins a match it will make us happy, and conversely, when our favorite team loses, we will feel disappointed at that moment. Moreover, if we bet at the same time it will give us an additional feeling when we win or lose.

For me, when I bet on a match for my favorite team, winning money is a bonus, because I am satisfied with the winning results that I see from my team.

your real reward is the joy and satisfaction from seeing your favorite team win. Personally, I find that approach really admirable it keeps the fun in sports and uses betting as just a bit of extra spice, rather than the main ingredient.
Well, that's what I said before, in fact I will still be happy when my favorite team loses but they can show a game that actually deserves to win, but they are not lucky. There will definitely be disappointment, but it can be somewhat alleviated by the beautiful game they showed.
if you are a fan of the team you are betting not because they will win because you are supporting them and that is what I also do betting in my favorite team.
when they lose I still happy but if won? then I am x10 happiness in me.

This is a satisfaction that definitely everyone has their own way or point of view on how we can achieve satisfaction. And I'm sure everyone has it every time they see their favorite team play.
agreed mate, yes I DO.
