LN as a Bitcoin Mixer

I mean that it doesn't matter if  you have privacy off chain, if when you close the channel you just receive your "tainted" coins back with some others.

You can move coins from Lightning and exchange them to other coins, or turn them into Liquid and back to mainnet.
But I was talking more about something new that could be used offchain for mixing, and I don't like the concept of ''tainted'' and ''clean'' coins.
In the long run all coins will not be ''clean'' for sure.

I agree with him and that is only logical thinking.
Only virgin coins are going to come directly from mining or ancient coins that are never moved (many of them are lost forever) will have no history.
Now imagine any government that seizes bitcoin from anything they consider illegal, they will blacklist those coins, but after few years they will sell them
What is going to happen with those coins now? Are they ''whitelisted'' again??

I think CEXs and police have their own limits on the time or number of transactions of Btc in its history when concluding that if the Btc is illegal. If we look at the entire transaction history, I believe that the majority of Btc has passed through many illegal accounts, just like our fiat may have ended up in the hands of dangerous people in society.

What's interesting is that Lightning Network can be used as Btc Mixer. We know that some CEXs don't like Mixed Btc, they even freeze accounts that receive Mixed Btc. The US government also banned TornadoCash, an Eth mixing service. I'm quite curious: will Lightning Network be banned in the US and removed from CEX services

The problem is if miners decide not to mine coins from some addresses.. This will be a real problem! For now, I think the concept is still silly, as you said.

Some mining pools are already doing that and they have some censorship with transactions.
Governments or malicious companies can easily start their own mining pools or purchase others and create even more censorship in future.
I think bitcoin mixers could change a lot how they work in next few years.
