Being a hodlr between easy and not,
but here I try to share about my opinion, what we have to know in the coin before we hold it.
first,
try to choose coins that have good history,
because basically the chart is repetitive,
example of a coin movement that has a good chart.
and below this is a sample coin that does not have a good history and the chart movement is monotonous and we must avoid this coin.

second,
see the github link account,
if the respositories are always updated, then the coin is worth holding, because the dev on the coin always works so that the project is always upgraded.
For example, an active Github link account.

and third is the social media,
if the social media is not active, I suggest not to hold it, but if the social media is active, the project can be an option.
those are some of the things I usually notice before hodl a coin,
then what do you think and what research do you do before investing?

I totally agree with this. I think it is really important that the social media of the said altcoin is active because if they are active, then it would be easy for us to ask them about our queries and also for them to answer us. It is good for them to be approachable in any case and have their website and other social networks updated from time to time.

Yes, that is one of the most core fundamentals when choosing the right coin to hold for long term. But the most important for me is, Is that coin/token have a real-use case that can be used in everyday lives?

i have always known cardano as a perfect choice for Holding. there is every indicattion that cardano will moon much more than eos and xrp. we never can tell. kudos and hold strong. we are getting close.

Good advice, I agree with you, analyzing the price chart and checking activity on GitHub are among the primary tasks when choosing a coin to buy. You have shown well which graph is a sign of a good coin, and which graph is a sign of a weak coin. For many, this advice will be useful. You plus karma from me.

I agree with the ways to analyze some parts of the coins before deciding to buy them. It is very crucial to determine the right coins to buy. We shouldn't forget to do those ways to avoid buying wrong coins. But I think those are just several example ways, there are many other ways to do.
-
i believe that your views determine your decision but you should as well know that there are some projects that we never expect that did well. maximine coin and crypto.com made an unexpected leap to the top 100 crypto. we will see more coins that will do that.
-
Good information, my friend. Yes, those are the important things that we must know in detail before selecting a coin. I do what you said on the topic as well. In every coin that I have, I never forget to analyze the important things before buying them.
-
Actually, what you suggested above is the general tips to have good coins for investment. I guess most people have done the tips for their coins, and it must be done because there are many bad coins to invest.
-
Great ideas, I also agree with this.
The story itself can be based on the coin volume and also cycle on the market.
Additionally, we may also include the technology behind the coin is for, it may refer to the real product or not.

yes you are right, it's just a few ways,
actually there are still many ways to make research on coins that we will hold, one of which is to look at the roadmap, team experience and also see the products, whether or not to have the product,
because this will also be related to the use case of the project.
-
everything we wanted to hold we should analyze first the benefits to us , likewise in holding coins we should have accurate knowledge to this coins. if this is potential and supported by investors there are lots of information today that helps us to choice the right coins.
-
OP has done a good job and to add up, investors are required to research into projects or coins before choosing to hold. The things to look out for when researching may include:
1. The expertise of the team and
2. The product of the project.
Always, projects with working products which has high demand levels on the market is likely to become successful. Good and professional team with great experience in cryptocurrency and marketing is also required to drive a project/coin to its success.

but sometimes just being supported by investors is not enough, for example slx is only supported by famous artists and now the price is broken,
so it can be added with usecase from the project.
-
Very good information. I am totally agree with your statement. It is very helpful for those who wants to invest.

Yup, many supporters/investors are not enough to distinguish a project is really worth to hold. In case you didn't know some projects hired some shillers on the group for the newcomers to buy that coin.

Nice post!!
You are right on the spot... these are the most imortant aspects, the only things I would add would be a peek on the team and roadmap. Although the team is a bit relative because there are very good projects with anonymous teams, the previewed roadmap and the ability to follow it are important for the project progress...
cheers ;)
-
I like the suggestion except for number 3. Sometimes the project doesnt rely on social media. It is better but not recommended parameters for holding. Like what you suggest on point number 2. The github activity is more precious to me than shilling post on social media.

I also agree with you, we cannot forget the roadmap,
the more detailed the roadmap the project has, usually the project is serious and has a real development,
because what is done by the team and dev is very clear and based on the time specified in the roadmap.

Yes, this is very valuable post actually to me. I think holding a coin is very technical decision and if anybody wants to hold a token he must have to know first to last of that tokens as well as future plans of that token team.
