Title: Holding and staking ADA
Post by: mnixxo.crypto on September 24, 2020, 12:19:47 PM
I want to ask you, if you are staking ADA (Cardano). Did you delegate your ADA to someone else's pool? Where do you hold your coins? (Daedalus, Yoroi, AdaLite) I am using AdaLite wallet and I am satisfied. How about you?

Don't worry  ;) I am holding them and still buying more and more. Also I am staking ADA coins. That's great future, you don't need to send them anywhere (you can have them in your hardware wallet) and you can use them immediately.

To be honest, I have never tried installing wallet applications from Daedalus, Yoroi and AdaLite because I have never seen these three wallets.
But for the Daedalus wallet, I've heard of it because in SF Cardano, I think I've read it.

Maybe if I have to be forced to choose then I will choose Daedalus for the Cardano wallet because this wallet is seen by many people.

I am holding ADA in Binance exchange and i am very much excited in ADA holding for its upcoming bright future. I haven't still used any ADA wallet. I have searched on their website and found support for Daedalus-a full-node wallet developed by IOHK - is the best wallet for ADA holding and stake. I will try to use Daedalus wallet for holding and staking in the next time. Yoroi is an extension that is easy and it can be used in this staking purpose.

This means that the three wallet votes for Cardano do not exist, and these are different choices.
Maybe the OP could add a Light Wallet for the voting.

And I also want to know the best advice from Light Wallet because this wallet is so foreign to my experience.
Can you provide some information about the benefits of Light Wallet ?

Now i am also using AdaLite from inspiring you. AdaLite has charmed me a lot with many features like-ADA holding, staking. Instant buy/sell assets from wallet is the most impressive to me. I would like to participate in staking very soon after completing CARDANO hard fork in this month. +1 for quality topic.

As far sa I know, Light Wallet as a name of the product doesn't exist.

Light wallets for ADA are Yoroi and Adalite.
Daedalus is full node wallet.

Daedalus wallet is fully node Dextop wallet. It needs synchronizing. Sometimes, too many windows wallets become heavy for windows space. Hence Web Wallet like Adalite (although web wallet is slight risky) is preferable.

I am using my Trezor T to connect to AdaLite wallet, so I dont see any risk there.

I have downloaded Daedalus wallet but it doesn't work on my computer. I don't know why. For web wallet, Adalite is better but hardware wallet is more secured although it isn't free to use.

I personally like Adelite Wallet and feel safe. In the meantime I'm creating and using Adelite Wallet. I bought some ADA (Cardano) on Binance Exchange, will buy some more ADA (Cardano) and will transfer Adelite Wallet very soon to hold and stack it.

I don't hold ada at the moment but I use to hold back in 2017/18  and I sold during the great bear market,  I never hold my ads on a wallet anyways because back then I found the deadulus wallet to be a pain, it wasn't just me many other people complained about the heaviness of the wallet, it takes ages to sync properly,
That discourage me from holding ada, I hope they have a much lighter wallet now, if ada can go back to 2017 ath, I wouldn't mind buying some again  ;D

Actually Daedulus wallet is a pain. I have downloaded but can't open in my laptop and pc. Probably they have bug. I have hold ADA in adalite wallet but recently i have sold it and now converted to DOT. I hope i will buy again ADA as its future is glorious.

To be honest, I haven't experienced staking on any of these options, it is hard for me to say which is the most reliable.
However, I think staking Cardano is much better in either of Exodus or Atomic wallets (+5% APY). You could stake, earn and unstake at any moment.

You can unstake Cardano's ADA at any moment also in the Daedalus, Yoroi and AdaLite. And ROI depends on the pool where you are staking your ADA. I delegated all ADA to CRDN1 pool. It has ROI now 5.179%.

I'm considering switching from ETH to ADA that's why I've visited this board. The staking feature is already available. It also looks more convenient and less resources is needed. I haven't used Exodus or Atomic wallets yet but it seems popular among ADA fanatics I've encountered. Can you add them to the poll?

Daedalus, Yoroi and Adalite - these three wallets are Cardano native wallets. That's why I added only these three to the pool. Exodus or Atomic are wallets for many coins.

Daedalus - full node wallet
Yoroi and Adalite - light wallets for Cardano

Just one quick update. I hope you didnt instal Daedalus app. It is scam. Daedalus has only desktop version. Please always check such applications on the official sites and of course never write your seed somewhere.

it depends on how much you are holding and what is a big profit for you.  ;) from staking you can receive about 5-6% yearly. Check this page: https://adapools.org/

Right, it depends on pool. Newers can make mistake in selecting which ADA pool he selects. I have also made first time. So, before deploy in any pool, needs to check the pools otherwise staking rewards won't be as expectation.
