Crypto Wallets / Re: Anyone who use mobile wallets?
« on: May 11, 2019, 07:28:25 AM »
Can you site some source where you got the idea that it's very dangerous?

Mobile wallets such as trust, imtoken, coinomi are woking fine.

It has always been a question whether the project you are promoting thru bounty campaigns has value. Hunters may choose to join start ups that pays in native tokens which is high risk in my opinion but can be highly rewarding. They may also choose those paying known coins like eth.

It's always been like that when someone is hacked. Whether it's an exchange or a popular person, almost everyone is willing to help. It has happened in the past already. It does not make the community stronger but compassionate

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: investment is a future asset
« on: May 11, 2019, 07:10:26 AM »
Investments are not future assets. They are already an asset only in a different form. When you buy a property, your asset changes from cash to a house. Just some point of clarification to the OP's title.

Some are now using paraphrasing tools to avoid getting tagged for plagiarism like this user:

Profile: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=52799
[...]

Unfortunately I feel I can only warn the user again (as a repeat offender) and add to watch list as their plagiarism was probably just under 80%, which I have done.
If I'm wrong, and there is some online tool to "match" the accuracy between texts (plagiarism) then I will re-consider.

Thus if we find any user copying posts and topics from other users on this forum, if the post is 80% identical [statistically not possible to be random, but rather intentional] //  this does not concern quoting.

Paraphrasing tools are used to avoid plagiarism that's why you won't see them to be 80% identical to the original post. As we can see, plagiarists found a way to work around that forum policy. Copy a comment/post, paste it in an online paraphrasing tool, copy again the result, then paste it here. Nonetheless, it is still plagiarism.

incentivized posting is bad for a small forum
we can easily find ourselves in a situation where everywhere users are posting about same project
on bct the situation might be less severe because their forum is much more active due to bigger number of users
but we should also remember that new users are important to our forum
Bct does not tolerate incentivized postings that is why parodium did not include bct in their forum advertising campaign.
New users are indeed important but does this forum really need new users who only post here because they are incentivized?

thus there will be a 2 step solution:
1- users posting incentivized posts are required to post in the section for that:
https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=355.0
if not mods are asked to move their posts there.

2- New users over doing it, and not in the proper section, will have their posts moderated

Now that there is a section created for incentivized postings, why not just trash those posts or comments made by old or new users in other sections? It does not look right that mods spend time to search then move them in the right section and the users still gets paid. Trash it so they they won't get paid. I think they'll learn that way.

What is the meaning of this topic? You just copied the text of the article word for word and then gave a link to it below. In this topic, neither your opinion or any questions that could be discussed.

News section is where it should be

It is doubtless a positive development and sign of the maturation of the industry, and it offers better protection to investors with trusted third parties and creates immediate markets for tokens sold.

...........................
Now, rather than relying on assertions made by an ICO startup, investors can put their trust in the due diligence performed by the exchange hosting the IEO. It may not quite be the desired dream once hoped for, but it’s a necessary step.

When you have to rely on the judgement of others, exchanges in this case, then that is hardly a sign o maturation of the market. If that is how everyone sees IEOs, then best of luck to your investments

Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) / Re: Problems with Ed.

Etherdelta.com exchange has less security systems.. Forkdelta and Etherdelta decentralized exchanges are exposed with private key, hence there have a deep possibility to hack.

Never heard of other ways to access ED or FD? I always trade there using metamask. No issues.

Update: Have spoken to Parodium (bounty manager) and they will be implementing stricter rules within the second month of the Veil bounty, which starts tomorrow. They have agreed to remove members with negative karma from their campaign and actively discourage users posting new threads as part of the forum avertising bounty. This is a good start!
They can just run a limited signature campaign here instead of incentivised posts. It's a more professional way in my opinion. A good example is selecting at least 10 higher rank and active forum members to wear their signature.

Search for new privacy coins and also projects on gaming/betting.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: The IEO: An Evolution of the ICO!
« on: April 26, 2019, 09:11:19 AM »
The objective of ICOs and IEOs are essentially the same, which is to offer tokens to a large group of investors.
For ICOs, yes.
For IEOs, not all. Just take a look at Binance and how they are gearing towards favoring bigger investors.

Paraphrased comment:
I am astonished to realize that you analyze Bitcoin speculation and MLM. Despite the fact that those are a similar kind as contributing cash, however how they work appear to be very changed. Obviously, Bitcoin speculation is greatly improved than MLM. Bitcoin speculation gives you opportunity, while MLM makes you discouraged.

Source:
Actually, I am surprised to know that you compare Bitcoin investment and MLM. Although those are the same type as investing money, but how they work seem quite different. Of course, Bitcoin investment is much better than MLM. Bitcoin investment gives you freedom, while MLM makes you depressed.

Now if you are interested to earn some of their coin they have a on going campaign for promoters out there and youre feel free to join.

I hope next time they can do a campaign for altcointalks members as well.

Then why are you mentioning their bounty campaign if they are not running it here?

15
How many warnings will they get before locking their thread? Not even sure if they read warnings.
