Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your experience with gambling?
« on: May 03, 2024, 12:41:03 PM »
Online casino gambling is a fun. I used to gamble a lot a few years back. Although I would gamble often, I was not a professional gambler. I was just a casual player. At that time I had a decent amount of assets. I lost all in  online casino gambling.
Haha yeah same here that is why I am keeping my self distance with online casino or if had to the chance to play with it again I will only use my extra money or maybe putting some limits to my bets would be fair though not for now since it is not not my priority this time because I am quite busy maybe in the future. Though I am showing interests on Telegram gambling but as I said I had to gather more positive feedback on it since I can see a lot of promotion from the other forum right now especially signature campaigns.

Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling be a career?
« on: May 03, 2024, 12:34:51 PM »
Well, gambling can never be a career. It is simply a lucky thing. If your luck favor you then you can win a big jackpot. Most people tend to carry on gambling after winning jackpot, as it is an addiction. They lose all their money in this way. On the other hand, gambling companies are doing very well, their business have been flourishing day by day.
Yeah since gambling is only intended for fun then it can't be treated as a career since it won't generate a stable income to every gambler. And yeah it's more of a luck just to hit a winning in gambling and nothing else. But I can still see people making it as a career maybe they just misunderstood the true meaning of gambling and they don't even get something good from it aside from losing most of the time.

Now, as some of you reading this know, I am a well-off person who doesn't need to scrape airdrops in order to live. But recently, I have started to receive many phishing emails from people looking to take over my Github account. The messages go something like this:

"We see you have contributed to web3.py [this is true] and that you are elligible for a XYZ airdrop [or some other acronym] so please allow me to use your Github account for 10 minutes so that I can help you claim it."

Or other times its "Please give us money so that we can claim the airdrop for you."

Now I have not attempted to claim any airdrop or reply to these people but what I am certain is that someone, somewhere, has indeed added me to an airdrop. Maybe this one: https://airdrops.io/starknet/

But I'm not going to take any of them. I don't care about airdrops and I'm jsut writing this to warn you guys of similar phishing attempts I have received in my mailbox.

Phishing emails are common even if you don't know about the crypto, as the attacker are alway looking for innocent targets.
Yeah true. That is why we should be careful on clicking links that was sent to us as we all know that phishing links may looks legit and if we are hesitant about it or in doubt just don't click or else something like our funds would be stolen without us knowing.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Keeping your seed phrase safe
« on: May 03, 2024, 12:24:53 PM »
Exactly, I completely agree. Some of the necessary information, such as codes, should be on a clearly visible application on the phone and should not be forwarded to anyone for any reason, be it to tell you that you will get a computer for mining.
Yeah as clipboards or could be the whole phone or device might be infected with a backdoor or malwares that might send important private keys and seed phrases to the hacker. Well yeah this is quite common type of attacks which is alarming to most of us and yeah storing our PK's and SP's offline would be the most effective way for our funds to be safe.

Don't you know with the way things are going currently job will be more preferable because when you chose work and established yourself you can likely run some part time program whereby you would still be working as well. I have seen people who had gone to school study for 4 year plus and comes back began to look for job, even as that they don't still secure the jobs they choose like having instead they go for under paid job like some of them go for taxi driving, waste carrier and other dirty jobs because they fails to understand this concepts that school isn't everything they need sometimes we needs skill and good paying job, most of the constructions company today are paying skill workers handsomely.
Yeah same here in my place, graduates can't secure a decent job as well I just don't understand why a degree holder is having a hard time finding the job based on their qualification. Some of them will just go abroad and some other chose to apply on BPO's which is also not related to their respective courses.

Almost every tech giant cuts off their employees a lot to cut down their operational costs and this resulted in the emergence of AI which swapped the requirement of an actual human needed for the task and the trend will likely follow in the coming years too.

The condition remains the same in every field, an exception could be the medical field.

So as an individual how do you plan to have a secured job considering that every job is at risk?
Well, an individual can secure a job by acquiring new and unique skills that cannot be taken by AI for a while and I think that is the only solution to that. I've been reading topics that has the same concept as this one like AI taking over human jobs and yeah it's all have the same approach like the one I just said above.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Beginning of the Dumping Market?
« on: May 03, 2024, 11:59:51 AM »
Since after halving is the beginning moment of the dumping market and get more correction every day, get more patience waiting will bullrun coming because every days got bitcoin and altcoin correctio few percent. I think many holder and investor get little panic with bitcoin and altcoin price difficult for growing up since after halving looks not get positive side of bitcoin will raise to higher price again.
Bad possibility if market difficult break out since after halving not any good news to see how bitcoin will grow up to higher price or make new all time high price. Its over with bullrun and right now we are in the bearish moment after bitcoin price decreasing every day?
It looks like we are entering a bearish market again, friends, for a while because it seems that Bitcoin is struggling and finding it difficult to reach ATH again. Maybe it's because of the influence of inflation and also news about the war which gives the market the impression of waiting and the whales haven't provided any surprises
I think it is just natural because in every ATH there will always be a correction. I think the price of Bitcoin would be surging again in the third or fourth quarter of this year or maybe early 2025. We can't really predict but I have a strong feeling it would happen and I do hope we all prepare for that.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Has the bear market started?
« on: May 03, 2024, 08:25:02 AM »
For me yes it already has begun as we can see it goes up to more or less $73k few months ago and now it's going down to $59k right now so maybe we might expect more dips in the coming days or months so we can I think start to fill in our bags right now or we will miss the next bull run. 😅

Philippines (Tagalog) / Re: Mempool Observer Topic
« on: May 03, 2024, 08:18:00 AM »

Well yeah, may point ka dyan sa sinabi mong mas dadami ang transactions sa Bitcoin kabayan since that is a more safer way to keep our funds since wala tayong daladalang physical assets na pwede maloot in terms of a midst of a war saka sino ba gustong bitbitin yung isang bag na pera mo kung papatakas ka na sa safezone life is more important than our belongings so para sakin Bitcoin talaga ang pinakadabest choice dahil di naman apektado ng inflation yan since isa din yan sa problema in times of war.

About a possible war with China it's not gonna happen for now as we all know China is only a paper tiger when in comparison to US might in the region since sila yung fully capable and higher chance of winning in a war. Just take Ukraine and Russia as an example maliit kontra malaki na bansa kahit hindi pa member ng nato is marami parin military supply donations from neighboring countries at isa pa iisang kalupaan lang sila tapos nahihirapan pa ang Russia to fully sakop Ukraine tayo pa kaya na archipelagic at may konting pangil na when it come to military equipments compared noong world war 2 diba? At sa tingin ba natin ay manunuod lang ang mga kapitbahay natin kung a war really broke out in the region? No! Since China is also a threat to them.

I believe the question is if you'll still keep on gambling after suddenly becoming rich and not after hitting a big win. They're both two different scenarios.
I agree that there is a difference between the two.

The rich still gamble, and some even gamble for more money already, so that means that being rich will not immediately eliminate the feeling of wanting to gamble for more.

An addicted gambler will always gamble, even if they are no longer rich but now wealthy. Gambling will become fun, and maybe to make some more money.
Even rich people get addicted too to gambling, but most gambling problems are mostly amongst poor people. Because the main thing that leads to gambling addiction is a gambler viewing and approaching gambling as a way to make money and increase their wealth or viewing it as a source of income or career without truly possessing the required experience, knowledge and skill required to approach gambling as a career. And we know that this is common amongst poor gamblers.

Rich gamblers on the other hand they mostly have sources of income so cannot consider gambling to me one because I'll say they actually understand the risks behind gambling, I believe this is what helps them to keep their emotions and finances in check when gambling.
Yeah exactly. Poor people do gambling more than rich people though there are gambling addicts that were from rich family as well but there were only few of them because majority comes from poor people and one more thing money is not a problem for most rich gamblers since they do have stable source. Based on my observation here in my place that is what the reality is. Regardless of financial status both can gamble even after a huge win.

To win at gambling, one needs a combination of luck, skill, and strategy. Even with these factors, I believe there is one another crucial aspect for a gambler's to get win that is mental support. The reason I say this is because when I am not mentally prepared, if I engage in gambling, I loss the bet. Are there any among you who, despite an unwillingness, still manage to win at gambling? or Do you think mental support is the one another key factors to win in gambling?
Yeah that is why we have to be mentally and physically fit before going to gambling for us not to be able to do something stupid because if not then decision making would be difficult and we're peobe to distractions or even have this bad temper when experiencing loss.

Hey folks, been thinking. As we enter into the bull run. What are they safe practices you'll be adhering to in order to maximize profits? Kindly share below let's have a discussion
DCA or dollar cost averaging is for me the most safest and maybe the most profitable strategy so far I know. Since we are talking about bull run here this strategy is perfect and it is proven by many. Don't be greedy on your investments rather be patient and wait for the best opportunity.

Even if that has asked me the same question I will still have an unofficial answer to that since we are here speculating on prices and there is really no accurate answer to that. It could be that this year is just side way or it could have some slight rally or what but yeah I can relate to you here. Though there's a high possibility but who knows right?

There are things that one should be given a thought to happening, there are things we shouldn't. The thought of cryptocurrency making money disappear in the future is impossible to analyze that fact even though we want or make use of cryptocurrency in storing our assets, not for money to disappear entirely because of that since money can still be used for the payment of goods and services, and also pay little bills without the demand of internet connection or transactions fees. That advantage alone makes the use of money supersede cryptocurrency.
Yeah exactly. Cryptocurrency and fiat can operate along side each other to come up a much better financial flow in the society as they do have different technologies that might also correspond to their respective function as what they were intended to be. i mean their role as a crypto and a fiat makes the people to decide which of which works for them.
