Just want to know the best platform for ICO submission. Also, What are some best tips to market your product/coin prelaunch?

First and foremost, we are not anymore using the term ICO or Initial Coin Offering because of the chaos and scams that happened in 2017 to 2018 where many people got victimized by projects made by fraudsters and scammers for the purpose of getting money from the public and then just bid goodbye when their greed were filled to the max.

Whenever I see someone promoting a new project under "ICO", the first thing I think is that this person froze in 2017. All methods from the ICO period are inactive today, so there are no more relevant services where new ICO projects are published. In other words, such services may still exist, but they are minor and have no influence, so they cannot contribute to the success of the project.

What part of this looks real?
To me all this is clearly fake after reading first two lines of his messages.

All parts of this conversation are quite realistic, even if this particular one did not happen. It shows exactly what happens between the scammer and the victim.
A victim who empathically tries to extract at least part of the money, when he does not do so he threatens with a curse. A scammer who has no sympathy for the greedy who believe in easy money.

Crypto Exchanges / Re: CEX vs DEX: The neverending discussion
« on: May 30, 2024, 05:03:22 PM »
Why are these things being discussed at all?
CEX and DEX are not the same type of service at all. One is trading platforms, the other is exchange services. They have similarities, they all deal in cryptocurrency trading, but that doesn't make them a choice of what someone prefers. For example, for day trading and those who make a profit from it, DEX are unusable. Also for short currency conversion, DEXs are much more efficient.
It's like asking whether you prefer a passenger car or a truck.

This is ridiculous, some groups and politicians must really hate someone else having some privacy. I also worry about other criteria of "CVC mixing", especially these points which are very common feature on many cryptocurrency wallet.

Quote from: https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2023-10-23/pdf/2023-23449.pdf
(B) Using programmatic or algorithmic code to coordinate, manage, or manipulate the structure of a transaction;

(D) Creating and using single-use wallets, addresses, or accounts, and sending CVC through such wallets, addresses, or accounts through a series of independent transactions;

(E) Exchanging between types of CVC or other digital assets;

This is like some kind of bad parody, shouldn't they find someone with an elementary knowledge of blockchain and not allow some plumber to write these terms for them?

When did this amateurism in the US gov begin?

Forum related / Re: Bumps need deleted
« on: May 30, 2024, 02:13:53 PM »
What is the reason why deleting posts is not allowed?

I see no reason for that.

Maybe with a better reputation/trust system everyone should be allowed to.

At least in Bitcointalk, you can't delete posts in the Marketplace board (or at least some subboards) for a certain period of time, 24 hours to be specific. This is so that you can't hide evidence of deals and stuff like that. It wouldn't surprise me if Altcoinstalk just copied that feature from the other forum and set as many boards as possible to be delete-free.

As far as I know, this is disabled due to abuse of hybrid account rank boosting. Activity points are earned for each post, but they are not reduced if you delete the post. So it is very easy to create a farm of high-ranked accounts.
Given that bounty campaigns no longer dominate here, the resulting multi-accounting is not so interesting. I believe that the attitude that this forum is destined for bounty and earning hunters would be completely wrong. The arrival of more serious signature campaigns is taking the forum to a different level, we should probably change that bounty/earn narrative shortly.

Reputation, Scams & Phishing / Conversation with a sincere scammer
« on: May 30, 2024, 01:54:56 PM »
I got this on Telegram, it seems real. Although it is a scam, I had a lot of fun reading this conversation.
By sharing this, I hope that maybe someone will better understand how the scam works, it seems to me a pretty good example.

Honestly, the statistical work is also quite boring, I think I will have more fun when the crypto market explodes and AltcoinsTalks gets more traffic in the next few months ^^

It sounds pretty boring to me too, but I personally know some people for whom it's a job and sometimes they sound like they're in love with their job.

I think that, for example, Loyce from Btt also likes to work with data and statistics. It seems to me that he is a little short of ideas about what type of statistics he can do, and it is simply amazing what details he has thought about.

I seen someone suggest in the chatbox to allow users to choose 2 slots to fill the open spots. If you are having trouble filling 100 spots, you could do that, but what does that say about the traffic or interest? Things to consider moving forward. Maybe do raffles with less spots and try to build the popularity?
And this raffle is just part of the Mixtum mixer promotion.
Looking at it from the point of view of advertisement, there is not too much difference if we are talking about one or two raffles in the same period. This can be just one observation on the whole matter.

We're currently implementing a partner system where we share 30% of the revenue generated by your referrals, offering you a lucrative opportunity to earn. This referral program is expected to be available by the end of the month, so stay tuned!

April is over, May is coming to an end, what is the status of this upgrade?

Something was certainly happening with cryptomixer.io, because on 28.05 they wrote a statement on the site. I searched a bit, but I didn't find anything from the recent past that was related to them.

Crypto Wallets / Re: Are you using Hardware Wallets?
« on: May 28, 2024, 11:29:49 PM »
At the moment when I decided to buy a hardware wallet, the only available option was Trezor One.
Luckily for me, Ledger was all sold out and I would have to wait 3-4 months next batch for delivery, so I decided on Trezor, which was available in stock.
Trezor Model T appeared a few days after my purchase.  8)

I will probably think about upgrading to a newer model at some point.

I see that many find the justification for not using a hardware wallet in the fact that they do not have a significant amount, as no additional security is needed. For some reason, there is a belief that hardware wallets are only for long-term holding, which doesn't have to be like that at all. I use the Trezor on a daily basis and nothing is more complicated than using any other wallet, Metmask and at the same time it is more secure.

When will I get access to post our client campaigns in the Altcoin page

You're still pretty vague.
Can you provide all the information you have and what exactly you want to publish here?

To reduce spam, it is not enough to just register an account and flood the forum with links. But if you would explain what exactly you plan to do, maybe you will get concrete answers and a solution to the problem.

Crypto Exchanges / Re: cointiger.com is out of business - exit scam
« on: May 28, 2024, 01:49:05 PM »
To be honest, I haven't even heard about their exchange. Was it a centralized exchange? If so, I don't understand why those people scam even though the CEX business is quite profitable. I have often heard that CEX manipulates their trading chart data to liquidate future traders' position which is another kind of scam but still profitable for those scammers!

I registered there a few years ago because I wanted to sell an altcoin listed only on the Cointiger exchange. That's how I know about them, later I put them in a bookmark so I wouldn't forget they exist.
Yes, it is an ordinary CEX platform, or at least it looked like it.

Everything can be a reason for going out. It is enough for one of the important members to leave the team so that the whole business takes a completely different course.

Anyhow, the big question is who will replace him. Names currently floating around in the news are: Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Tuchel, Kieran McKenna, Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Frank.

This is the essence of the problem. Maybe ETH doesn't look like the best of the best, but who is the alternative?

All those listed are good managers, they are rightly mentioned as a possible replacement, but I don't see that any of them has enough capacity for what awaits him in MU. All of them are excellent when there are no great expectations from them and when they are not under the scrutiny of the public.

De Zerbi, had a great last season when he succeeded Graham Potter. No one expected much and not much attention was paid to his work. This allowed him to work relaxed and he produced results.

Pochettino, had some success with Tottenham if you call it success even though you didn't win anything. Then when he had to take the final step forward, he completely failed. Of course, even then no one expected Tottenham to do anything more significant and there were no criticisms when they played badly. Everything fell apart when the criticism became stronger.

Thomas Tuchel is very conflicted, a very similar nature to Mourinho. If he didn't succeed in Bayern, which was much better organized, why would he manage to sort out the mess that is in MU? Also failed in PSG, and the CL title with Chelsea at a time when no one expected anything from them. The following season, everything fell apart when more was expected.

McKenna was already at MU, as an assistant to Ole. Many blamed him for Ole's failures. He is promising, I believe he will be a big name one day, but it is too early for him to take over MU now. He needs to make several successful seasons in a row.

Thomas Frank also fell under the pressure of the previous successful season. It's one thing to lead a team that is content if it's not fighting for survival, and it's quite another thing to lead MU where only wins are satisfying.

I would like to get a direct answer from the Webmixer team/dev here

Incoming address is valid for 7 days (168 hours). All payments made after this time will be ignored.
If we have the case that the user sends a certain amount of BTC to the generated deposit address, the mixing process is completed on the same day. Is the same BTC deposit address still active?
What will happen if he makes a new transaction and sends BTC the next day (so still within this 7-day period, while the address is valid)?
