Bitcoin Forum / Re: ordinals and inscriptions
« Last post by Don Pedro Dinero on Today at 03:59:55 PM »
Well then, we've had the same story for a while now. I think this is a fad that will pass, but if there are people who are stupid enough to pay a lot of money to insert rubbish images in the mempool, that's up to them. It pisses us off when the fees go up but it will piss them off even more when they realise that everything they've spent is worthless (unless someone hits the lottery, so to speak). It sounds to me that there was a similar fad before this that eventually died out.

I expect the typical post halving top to come sooner than in the past years and expect to see the peak before the calendar year end.
I don't expect any fireworks right after the halving though, I think we could even see some correction then, as many investors are putting too much weight on the moment of the halving and could get disappointed and sell when the reality doesn't meet their expectations.
With only 2 days and 11 hours left for Bitcoin Halving, Bitcoin price is undergoing many corrections. And in this the 2nd quarter of 2024 has started. as Bitcoin price correction is a strong price Bitcoin is getting a little bit stable. So halving can be seen as a good thing from Bitcoin. I would expect Bitcoin to make its final ATH very soon after the Halving and it could be below $90k and above $80k. But I can't say whether it will happen in Q2 2024 or not And no one can tell this
Doesn't a bullish top usually occur a year after a halving? why the last ATH will occur in Q2 this year, will there be changes in this 4 year cycle of bitcoin. Because I think the peak of ATH will occur next year. And our halving will experience a deep correction. That's a normal thing, because I see that global economic conditions are still within reasonable limits

This is my question, is the cycle changing as usual because as we can see BTC has reached the new ath yesterday in month 2, and now the price of Bitcoin is declining to reach 63k$, will this continue to fall or will it improve in the near future?

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Bitcoin Votality
« Last post by Gurujebs on Today at 03:52:04 PM »
Just today morning, I saw bitcoin price was around $69,000 and now its more than $72,000. This shows how volatile and rewarding this market can be. But can someone explain, what caused such a big jump in such a short time and what are the other factors that contribute to the price change?

Anytime Bitcoin is in bull run, the volatility is usually high so expect the price to jump from $60k to $70k under 24 hours, if such move can increase in such time then it shouldn't surprise you when Bitcoin dump in the same manner because bull run possess high volatility. It it was during the bear market, Bitcoin doesn't pump like that and it can't dump like this unless there is a very terrible news going on in the market.

As got the cause of the dump, when halving day is closed by its always expect for Bitcoin price to make some correction to some new supports for short term.

Forum related / Re: No option to self moderate threads here?
« Last post by joniboini on Today at 03:51:42 PM »
Have seen abused about self moderated threads from the other forum though this is also very helpful to keep a thread from spamming but the problem is that even scammers can use this features to silence those who will criticize or give their proofs of their bad dealings.
I think that's easy to solve, anyone who posts the proof of the scam can easily screenshot it and make a thread if their post got deleted. But I don't think it is necessary since there is a recycle bin feature on this forum if I read it correctly.

It will get to a time that the admin will want the community to do most of the moderation themselves and allowing a self moderation thread is one of the ways to achieve that.
If the traffic gets really big, I'd rather have more moderators instead of encouraging members to manage threads on their own. Unless we can make sure that most of them understand forum rules, there is a high chance they will abuse it even if it was unintentional.

$2 million is small amount for Binance, so it's not surpirsing they simply decide to pay the fine. IMO it's also possible they lose more money due to ban by India early of this year. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

$2B is small for Binance you said? Do you know how much is $2b bro! This maths is not adding up. They are ready to pay this amount and then return back to the same and then comply with their regulations but are ready to pay $4B to US and closed everything. If Binance is paying such a big amount of money then I want to believe that Binance is making more than that from India investors annually.

This was quick solve compared to US and does it also mean that CZ case has been adjourn, he was supposed to be sentenced in April I believe, what went wrong?

Bro, re-read please first post. It is $2 millions, not $2 billions. For cryptocurrency and specially for Binance, 2 millions is like the amount they spend on A4 paper for printers per year. Back in 2017-2018 every lousy ICO raised 2 millions in no time.

Just imagine, the population of India is around 1,5 billion. Even if we imagine that only 0.1% of them use Binance, then Binance will get those $2m fine in no time through trading fees.
