Many of us invest in some new projects as hidden gems in the hope of more profit. But in the beginning, the growth of those projects shows very well, but in the end, they are dumped hugely. As a result we regret losing our money. So I think it is better to invest in top coins even if the profit is small. At least it won't crash like Terra Luna.

This is now a big bad reality that we in the cryptocurrency industry can be facing. Right now, we see so many projects hyping to offer this and that but at the end they just ended up dumped...just another tool for bad actors to get more money and maybe even go into a hidden island vacation with millions of dollar at their accounts. In other words, we live alongside with so many scammers, hackers and just any other guy with their eyes open for making good money 24/7 even at the expense of the fooled innocents. So we have to be careful...once you get some profits get out as fast as you can and don't look back as you don't want to be one of the many holding empty plastic bags.

Until and unless you are damn sure investing in new projects do not do otherwise choose only old and trusted projects because sometimes new projects crash faster than we think so it's always better to choose the tested and trusted projects for investment if one can take some risk then only invest in new projects otherwise with limited knowledge of crypto market investment in old coins is a better option.

From my experience of collecting "hidden gems" almost all turned to shit, died, and were not tradable!
But it doesn't mean you can't get lucky and pick one that will give 1,000x profits. Just understand that this is practically a gamble so don't gamble with money that you can't afford to lose.

That said, the safer option is there in the top-10 Coinmarketcap and the risk will increase if you go down the rank.
