What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler?

Personally, I don't like the word Gambler tbh. And it feels more worse when someone calls someone a Gambler in the local language. I played some hands it's true and I tested many games for test purposes But I was never affected by the gamble. and I consider I am not a gambler myself. Somehow I do not feel good or something does not fit with me by this word.

If you invest people call you investor hope you don't mind if you trade people call you trader hope you don't mind if you gamble and people call you gambler why you will be upset. If being called a gambler bothers you in private then I'd say you gamble in such a way that people around you don't know you're a gambler. Many people consider the word.

"gambler"as a bad word, and many people use it as an insult. But since you are a gambler, you cannot get angry at all by listening to other people's words. And if you already discuss the matter with your neighbors or if your neighbors know that you gamble, they will call you a gambler because you should have been careful about this beforehand.

Trading doesn't have that bad effects compared to gambling, investing doesn't have that much effects compared with gambling so if you are a trader/investors people see's you as responsible person while if you are being called gamblers people would say you are not responsible at first they will lost trust in you for whatever that concerns money since they knew that gamblers go to an extents to use money kept in their custody to gamble making it looks very bad, due to the bad misrepresentation gamblers has turned gambling to out there when you are known as gambler you present yourself to be a bad person.

Hence the language gambler is very effective to a man's life so people prefers calling them trader or investors than gambler because gambling always tarnished our images in terms of seeking for work in any firm be it government work whenever they noticed you are gambler have a very slim chance to employed why because they believed that a day to come you may likely use the organization funds to gamble. So company's do avoid employing gamblers.

If I gamble I have no problem being called a gambler. But socially a gambler is looked down upon because to identify oneself as a gambler means to be scorned by others. For which many gamblers do not want to reveal themselves to everyone. And to lock yourself in, many crypto gambling companies have sprung up these days so that people can gamble silently. No one should recognize him as a gambler. I am a gambler but I don't want to introduce gambling. And all gamblers like to hide their gambling.

Only in areas where gambling is prohibited and frowned upon does a gambler feel uncomfortable identifying himself as a gambler or hearing others identify him as a gambler. Gambling is legally prohibited in some countries, but in most developed countries it is not legally prohibited in certain regions. If you are a regular gambler then why get angry when others call you a gambler? Let's say if you are studying then if someone calls you a student then you will definitely not get angry but on the contrary you will feel comfortable to identify yourself as a student. This effect actually depends entirely on the surrounding environment.

I am a proud gambler, because I gamble for fun, and I would not pick any offense of you call me a gambler. This is because I and my friends do use this words to call each other when we win big. As long as my gambling activities os not stop me from taking care of my responsibilities, I am fine with it. Those people that are ashamed to be called a gambl9are not accepting the truth, if they hit the jackpot, will they lie that it wasn't from gamble that they had that big amount of money that can turn their lives around.

So the poster doesn't want the word because he doesn't like the meaning. It reminds me of how things started with changing pronouns and genders just to suit their own agenda. Before, it was just male /female and they added a bunch of other terms. There is no need to personalize its definition because of your feelings getting hurt when someone calls you a gambler. Just don't gamble.

Of course I am a gambler but just a low class one. 😅 I am not proud of me being a gambler but I just make fun with it trying to fetch luck on each bet. I don't care about how people will call me because I just go with the flow.

For me it's because of the society to which the person belongs, some society actually see gambling or should I say the gambler as someone who is useless or reckless and that's because of the way they have represented the habits as most of them tend to be addicts and this portrays bad image for other gamblers. But in terms of classification, I can class the this two habits as one(gambling and trading) although I know that trading is somehow different but In general sense trader can also make one crazy and do shit if the person doesn't keep his habits in check.

If you say I'm a gambler, then I would say yes because I like to gamble. For some people or in certain environments, being called a gambler would have a negative value, so therefore I would not say that I am a gambler.

I think it comes down to the individual, because some people want to be called a gambler and some people don't, even if they do like to gamble.

I would consider myself as a gamer rather than a gambler. Gamer sounds much good to me and yes I do place bets once in a week or twice but not more than that. However, sometimes I spend more time by placing bets and thankfully 70% of my bets are still winning bets for me. I earn no money from gambling because I'm into for the fun part only, but yes, as a entertainment it's something really awesome.

IMO I think that a gambler is a person who have dedicated his whole life in gambling, even when he or she already have a job he will want to keep his job aside and gamble because he's whole mind keeps saying that one day he will win a huge amount of money that will change his or her life but not knowing that gambling is not about how dedicated you are or how often you bet but it only depends on how lucky you are, so instead of me to consider my self as a gambler, I rather not say it because I am not.

I am a gambler, no big deal. As long as someone bets on different games or ingage in any form of gambling activity where they have to stake some money for the sake of making profit, the person is a gambler.

A gambler is a risk-taker who is not certain about the outcome of an event but places something of value on the event with the hopes of getting it if the outcome is what he predicted. I am a gambler specifically sports bettor, I place money on a football match and hope to get more money.

The irony of gambling is that a gambler will always lose but this doesn`t prevent him from gambling. This is why gambling is regarded as a game of risk. Show me a gambler and I will show you an investor who has invested in a risky venture and so, he is not sure of getting results.

I consider myself a gambler, I participate in gambling only to satisfy myself. I do not count profit or loss in any gambling because I only participate in gambling when I find joy in myself. I never think about gambling addiction because I try to stop myself from gambling when I notice any harmful effects in myself. I never participate in gambling with pressure on family because family is most important to me and then self love. I am never against my will.
