Post by: Rokoto on February 09, 2022, 10:50:16 AM
Hardware wallets are quite expensive, is there any hardwallet I could get for a much lesser price than the regular ones online? Something like $(20-25)?. A friend told me it's more secured when crypto is stored using a hardware wallet. And please I need one that supports Polkadot securely, I have crossed my heart on DOT long term holding

I can relate to this post as someone that has an issue trying to ship a Hardware wallet to my country despite buying at an exorbitant price.

I am someone who is hearing of AirGap for the first time, and what are the amazing features that piqued your interest in AirGap?

As a person big in security and want to HODL my DOT for a long time........I am a bit interested

You can store DOT in hot wallets, this article will give you more information.

I keep DOT on exchanges, I am quite secure with the services and safety of Binance, and the savings and ILO programs are also quite attractive.

If I look at the wallet that is used by Polkadot, it seems that an exchange or software wallet is also safe and it still exists in a friendly cryptocurrency environment.
I have a few Polkadot coins on Binnace and Binance is an exchange that has been used safely and simply so far.
So until now I don't need a hardware wallet for Polkadot coins.

Thank you all for your replies. However I do not like to store my DOT on an exchange because it's centralized to me and I don't have full control over my funds. I checked out the AirGap wallet and it's a pretty cool tool for storing polkadot and other cryptocurrencies. The secure signing of transactions with the QR code signing works fantastic plus it meets my requirement because it's totally free to set up from what I discovered. Am already using it and haven't had any issues or challenges so far.

If you think it is very expensive for a hardware wallet from Polkadot coins, then use a software wallet like the case from Safepal Wallet and Trustwallet.
I prefer Safepal wallet because there is always a wallet holder offering (WHO) that allows us to get free tokens just by holding Safepal tokens.
But this is my choice specifically for the software wallet and it tends to be personal and do with your risk.

In this sense, the virtual environment reflects the real self. The concept appeals to me, yet being present in the metaverse is strange. MetaverseME keeps piqueing my attention. It appears to be a fascinating topic.

I keep Polkadot coins on Binance Exchange.
To participate in airdrop, testnet or IDO events I usually send from Binance Exchange for Polkadot coins.
If you think it's expensive for a hardware wallet, then the method above is an alternative for us to store Polkadot coins.

Binance exchange is popular exchange this is a reliable platform , but holding your investments in exchanges for long term it not a good decision because it is too risky instead of we can use best online wallets they're free to use also they're providing many futures safepal is a best online wallet to store Dot.
